Just off the CEO's office at the Barracuda Blue, there is a small balcony. The balcony has expansive views of the Pacific Ocean that surrounds the resort. The sun is beaming down, creating a very warm morning. There is a light breeze coming in off the water, so the leaves on the palm trees that are on the resort grounds are whispering. On the balcony, Orvilla Anderson stands with a cup of coffee in her hand and large black Chanel sunglasses are on her face.

As she takes a sip of her coffee, she can't help but think about the previous evenings events. Her sister, Kymberlynne, threw a gala at the resort to celebrate it's 10th anniversary of being open. At the gala, Kymberlynne confronted her and revealed that she knew that Orvilla had been scheming to keep her nieces and nephew out of Meccanica. After Kymberlynne's husband, Samuel, died, he left a stipulation in his will that when his youngest child turned 18, the kids could take over the company, which Orvilla had been running for years.

So, Orvilla did what any woman would do who wanted to stay in power. She got her oldest niece, Lyzz, hooked on cocaine, only she had the dealer, Darcy, lace it with fentanyl. This caused Lyzz to crash her car and she ended up in a coma. Orvilla discovered that the front desk clerk, Chloe, hated Lyzz, so she convinced her to drug Lyzz to keep her in her coma.

With Lyzz out of the way, Orvilla set her sights on her nephew, Liam. She convinced her best friend, Arrow, to get his boyfriend, and Liam's tennis coach, Leaf to seduce Liam. What Leaf didn't know was that Arrow had planted a camera in the bedroom, so their sex was filmed. Orvilla, then, leaked the story to a local tabloid, the Hawaiian Hacker. Liam and Leaf were suspended from the tennis tour, which meant he had no time to have the desire to take over the company.

That left Orvilla's youngest niece, Rachelle. Rachelle was always a top student, so Orvilla knew that her education would have to be her downfall. She blackmailed Rachelle's art history teacher, Malcolm Summers, to make it appear that Rachelle, and her boyfriend, Nate, plagiarized their term papers, and they were expelled. Since then, Nate, who is like a son to Orvilla, has been getting Rachelle high to keep her mind off of Meccanica.

"All my plans," she whispers to herself. "Foiled by my sister. If that busybody hadn't come back to Maui, none of this would have happened."

She takes another sip of her coffee as she recalls how she went into the basement of the security cabin on the resort after Kymberlynne exposed her. In the basement, there is a cage, where an alive Samuel is being held hostage. Orvilla knows that she faked his death all those years ago to get what she believes is rightfully hers: Meccanica. After all, the entire concept of the company was her idea. Samuel just had the resources to make it happen, but she always should have been running the company, she believes. So, when the opportunity to fake his death presented it to her, she jumped at the chance. She made it appear that he was in a boating accident, but in fact, she has been holding him hostage for years.

She shuts her eyes for a moment and thinks back to their conversation.

[MEMORY FLASH]

The basement is completely cement, which makes it soundproof. In the middle of the space, there are some metal bars, almost like a jail cell. Orvilla used her flashlight to look inside the cell. There is a small cot, a toilet, a sink, and a fridge to hold food.

"Where are you?" she asked into the space. "I know you're here. I need your help, and I'm not leaving until you agree to do what I say!"

Suddenly, two hands grabbed the bars and a face moves closer to the bars. "What do you want, Orvilla?" a man's voice asked.

"It's nice to see you too, Samuel," Orvilla winks back at her prisoner. "You should shave. Your beard is getting unruly."

"Ugh," Samuel groaned back to her. "I highly doubt you came down here to comment on my appearance. What have you done this time that you need my help?"

"I, uh, well, I've done some things to the children to ensure they wouldn't take over Meccanica," she pursed her lips together. "You do remember that it was Rachelle's 18th birthday and you added that clause in your will."

"Rachelle turned 18?" Samuel asked her in surprise. "I…I thought it might have been coming up. Jesus, that means I've been done here for…"

"We don't need to hash out how long it has been," Orvilla cut him off.

"What did you to my children?" Samuel demanded to know. "Are they going to be okay?"

"Oh yes," Orvilla chuckled back to him. "I got a drug dealer to lace some cocaine with fentanyl to keep Lyzz busy; Liam is involved in a sex scandal with his tennis coach; and Rachelle, well she was caught plagiarizing in school, so she was expelled."

"Dear God," Samuel looked back at her in shock. "You really went to the extremes to keep Meccanica. You're…you're obsessed!"

"It's just…I don't know what to do, Samuel," Orvilla admitted to him. It is not often that Orvilla admits that she doesn't know what to do, so she is feeling a bit apprehensive being so vulnerable, especially with the man that she is holding hostage.

"Surely you didn't get your hands dirty, Orvilla?" Samuel asked her quickly. "You've always had someone else do your dirty work for you. That must be the case now?"

"Come to think of it," Orvilla got a wicked grin on her face. "You're right. Darcy is the one who sold the drugs to Lyzz, Arrow is the one that convinced Leaf to sleep with Liam, and Malcolm is the one who altered Rachelle's paper. You're brilliant Samuel! I don't know how I will ever thank you."

"How about by letting me the fuck out of here?" he asked as he gripped the metal bars tightly.

Orvilla broke out into a laughter. "You've always had such a wonderful sense of humor," she waved to him. "I'll see you soon. In the meantime, clean yourself up, would you? Ta, ta!"

[MEMORY FLASH]

"And he is absolutely right," Orvilla tells herself as she comes back into reality. "My hands are clean, and if anyone tries to tell me otherwise, they will live to regret it."

In the living room of the Thornton mansion, Kymberlynne Thornton pours herself a vodka spritz from the bar and takes a sip of it. Her mind is racing over the previous night when she confronted Orvilla over her actions against her children. Orvilla ended up pushing Kymberlynne into a large cake and rushed off; Kymberlynne is furious because her dry-cleaning bill will be outrageous, but also because she never got to finish her conversation with her sister. She wanted to get to the bottom of her deception, but instead she got left in the cake stand.

She turns when she hears someone move into the living room and she sees her youngest two children, Liam and Rachelle, entering.

"Good morning," Kymberlynne purses her lips together. "I hope you two had a good sleep."

"I barely slept at all," Liam admits to his mother before he looks over at his sister. "I couldn't stop thinking about Orvilla and how she has set us all up. I…I just can't believe it."

"Yea, same," Rachelle agrees with him. "It just seems surreal."

"The fact of the matter is, we have to get Orvilla out of Meccanica once and for all," Kymberlynne tells her children. "That is the only way justice will be served."

"But how?" Rachelle asks her mother quickly. "How are we going to remove Orvilla from the company?"

Before Kymberlynne can respond, her cell phone starts to ring. "Excuse me for a moment," she tells her children as she picks up the call. "Cole, good morning."

She Kymberlynne had seen on her screen that Cole Rockwell was the one calling her. She knows that he is likely at the hospital checking in on her oldest daughter, Lyzz, who was still in a coma following her car accident.

"What? Oh my God," Kymberlynne gasps back to him as Liam and Rachelle look on, wondering what has happened. "Yes, yes, we will be right there."

"What was that about?" Liam asks her as Kymberlynne hangs up the phone.

"That was Cole," Kymberlynne replies to them as she gets tears in her eyes. "He…he said that Lyzz is awake! Our prayers have been answered…Lyzz is out of her coma!"

/\/\/\

A short time later, Kymberlynne and her children are in Lyzz's hospital room with huge smiles on their face as Lyzz is sitting up in her bed eating some red jello. Cole is sitting next to her making sure that Lyzz has everything that she needs.

"You have no idea how worried we have been," Kymberlynne looks over at her daughter, who shoots her a death glare. Kymberlynne realizes that right before Lyzz crashed her car, she held an intervention for her daughter to make her realize that she had a problem with cocaine. Kymberlynne knows that Lyzz was turning to the drugs because she was trying to numb the pain she was in from the death of her fiancé, Ash, the previous year. Not only was Kymberlynne telling her to stop doing drugs, Lyzz was also furious with her mother for abandoning her and her siblings after Samuel died.

"I'm sure you lost sleep over it," Lyzz quips back to her.

"That's how I can tell you're going to be okay," Rachelle smirks back to her sister. "You have your sense of humor back."

"When do I get to leave this place?" Lyzz asks everyone in the room. "I don't know how long I will be able to stomach this food."

Cole chuckles back to her. "The doctor should be here any moment to give us an update," he tells her. "But Lyzz, you've been in a coma for weeks. You need to rest to make sure you don't overdo it."

"Cole is right," Liam tells his sister. "Let's not rush this, okay?"

Just then, Lyzz's doctor, Trevor Davidson, opens the door to the hospital room and moves inside. Kymberlynne looks at him with intent. "Doctor, how is my daughter?"

"I am fine," Lyzz huffs back to her. "I wish everyone would realize that I am perfectly fine. And doctor, I want to get out of here!"

Dr. Davidson chuckles. "One step at a time," he tells her. "I do believe that based on the most recent test results that Lyzz will make a full recovery," he reveals as the family breathes a sigh of relief. "As for being discharged, I think that can happen soon. But there is some concern from the police."

"The police?" Cole asks with an arched eyebrow. "What do they have to do with Lyzz being discharged?"

"When Lyzz crashed her car, she was high on cocaine," the doctor explains. "We also found a very high amount of fentanyl in her blood stream. Lyzz is not only lucky to be alive, but she is lucky that she didn't hurt anyone else in the accident."

"I'm so sorry," Lyzz whispers to the room. "This was never my intention."

"So, as a result of this, the police are requesting that you seek help for your drug use," the doctor reveals to Lyzz. "That or they will press charges against you."

Lyzz gasps a little before she looks at her siblings and then at Cole. "I…I will go to rehab," she nods back to the doctor. "It's time I get my life back on track, it's time that I start to deal with my grief for Ash. I'll go, Doctor. Please make the arrangements and I'll do whatever I have to do make this right."

"I'm so proud of you," Kymberlynne smiles to her daughter, thrilled that she is going to get help for her drug use.

"Shut up," Lyzz spits back to her. "I haven't forgiven you, Kymberlynne, and I don't think that I ever will."

Alex Sanchez-Lorenzo emerges from the elevator on the third floor of the Barracuda Blue and makes a beeline towards the CEO office. The previous night he and his mother, Paola, decided to make their move against Orvilla as they told her that they knew her secrets about what she had done to prevent the Thornton children from taking over Meccanica; they had agreed to meet to discuss the situation after the gala was over, but Arrow ended up telling Alex that his mother was missing! Alex knows that either Orvilla, or Arrow, must have done something to Paola, and he won't rest until he has his mother back.

He opens the door to the office and barges inside as he sees Orvilla sitting behind her desk looking over some files. "We need to talk," he demands as he moves to the desk.

Orvilla takes off her thick-black framed glasses and sets them on the desk with a heavy sigh. "You know being a bartender means you have no understanding of what it takes to run this company," Orvilla hisses back to him. "You simply can't barge into my office and demand to speak to me."

"Like hell I can't," Alex grits his teeth together. "I need to find out what you did to my mother. I am not leaving here until I know where she is!"

"Perhaps you should have thought of that before you and your mother threatened me," Orvilla stands up from her chair and moves around the desk to face Alex. "No one threatens me and gets away with it. And, just so you know, everything you think you know about me, my family is already aware."

Alex feels the blood drain from his face at her comments. "How is that possible? You actually confessed your wrong doings to your nieces and nephew? And you expect me to believe that?"

"I could care less what you choose to believe," Orvilla snaps back at him. "In any event, I did not confess, but my sister was able to uncover the truth. Your little plan blew up in your face."

"If that's true then you can let my mother go!" Alex barks back at her. "This game can be over, Orvilla."

Orvilla chuckles back to him. "The problem, Aljeandrao, is that you threatened me and I took action," she reminds him. "You and your mother crossed a line and you need to suffer the consequences of your pathetic actions."

"Tell me where my mother is!"

"I will tell you on one condition," she purses her lips together.

"Name it," Alex tells her quickly. "I will do anything for my mother."

"You and your mother," she locks eyes with him. "You will leave the Barracuda Blue forever. And you will never come back. Now, do we have a deal?"

In the staffroom behind the front desk, Chloe Peller has her locker open. She is putting all of her personal belongings into a backpack. Her head is spinning over the fact that the previous night at the gala, the front desk manager, her boss, Carson McGuire, fired her because he believed that he had proof that she stole a golden necklace from one of the hotel guests. Chloe has no idea what proof Carson has, but she knows that she didn't steal the necklace. What's worse is that her reputation with Cole and Alex is now in jeopardy as a result because, deep down, she hated her job, so she isn't too sad to have lost it.

"Please take all of your things," Carson announces as he moves into the staffroom and sees Chloe at her locker. "This will be the last time you are allowed back here, Ms. Peller."

Chloe rolls her eyes heavily before she slams the locker door shut and turns around to glare at her former boss. "You must be loving this, aren't you, Carson?"

"I don't enjoy any part of this," Carson shakes his head back to her. "Learning one of my employees, whom I trusted, is nothing more than a common thief is not enjoyable."

Chloe chuckles back to him. "I have no idea what proof you think you have," she informs him. "But I will tell you this, I did not steal any necklace, Carson. This is all a huge mistake, and when the truth comes out, you're going to eat crow, and I'm going to make sure of it."

"Is that all, Ms. Peller?"

"Watch your back," Chloe spits back at him. "I'm not one to take shit laying down, and being framed for something I didn't do is something I'm going to work overtime to prove. You've been warned."

"Noted," Carson gulps back to her. "Now, kindly get off the property, before I call security and have you escorted out."

Kelvin Jetter sits at a table at Café Tropical with a beer and some nachos in front of him. He decided to have some lunch at the resort after his shift ended so he wouldn't have to cook when he got home. One of the perks of eating at the resort is that he gets a staff discount, which makes it a lot more affordable. Secretly, he is also hoping that he will run into Marco Belli, the man that he has a crush on. As he takes a bite of the cheese nacho, he can't help but think back to how and Marco worked together to find the evidence that Orvilla was behind the leak of Liam and Leaf's affair in the Hawaiian Hacker. The rush of the experience made them turned on and they had sex with one another in a storage room at the resort. Afterwards, however, Marco claimed he just wanted to be friends as he continued to crush on Liam. When Marco told Liam, and Kymberlynne, what they uncovered, Liam kissed Marco, which left Kelvin upset. He has no idea if Liam and Marco are going to get together now, but he feels like he has lost his chance to be with Marco.

"Kelvin, hey, it's been a while," Marco announces as he comes up to Kelvin's table and sits next to him. "How've you been?"

"Keeping busy," Kelvin nods back to him. "Want some nachos? I won't be able to finish them all."

"Nah, I'm about to have a shift at the pool," the pool boy flashes his smile back at Kelvin, which makes his heart skip a beat. "I don't like to eat too much in case I have to get in the water."

"I get it," Kelvin tells him. "What's new with you?"

"Not a lot, to be honest," he says back to him. "Just the same old."

Kelvin arches his eyebrow back to him. "Can I ask you something?"

"Uh, sure? What's up?"

"After you told Liam the truth about the Hawaiian Hacker," Kelvin begins as he looks over Marco. "He…he, uh, kissed you."

"Yea, it was great," Marco chuckles back to him. "I mean, it was more of a peck, but still."

"I guess I have to ask," Kelvin continues. "What's happened since then? Have you seen Liam?"

"I haven't other than briefly at the gala last night," Marco reveals to him. "But I think this is my chance to be with him. Everything I've ever wanted is about to come true, I can feel it," he tells his friend, even though he doesn't realize that he is breaking Kelvin's heart by his admission.

Orvilla storms into the library at the Barracuda Blue and looks around. She spots Nate Meadows sitting in one of the plush armchairs that has a view of the ocean. She gets a smile at the sight of the younger man; she still considers him to be a son to her because he was very young when his father, Augustus, was killed. Augustus was the love of Orvilla's life, and after he was murdered, she took it upon herself to raise Nate. This is why he will do anything for her, including helping her keep Rachelle at arm's length to ensure she didn't become the CEO of Meccanica.

"Nathan," Orvilla says as she approaches him. "We have to make this fast; I…I can't risk anyone seeing us together."

Nate nods back to her as he sits up in the chair. "Rachelle texted me," he whispers back to her. "She knows everything that you've done?"

"I'm afraid so," Orvilla shakes her head back to him. "That damn sister of my has to ruin everything!"

"What is your plan? Surely, you're not giving up on Meccanica that easily?"

Orvilla chuckles to him while she points her long, manicured finger at him. "Of course, not," she says back to him. "I still have a couple of cards up my sleeve and that's where you come in, my sweet Nathan."

"What can I do?" he asks her as he leans closer to her. "You know I will do anything to help you."

"That's why I adore you," she says as she caresses his face. "You've helped Rachelle, unwind, so to speak, correct?"

Nate nods back to her with a grin on his face. "She's been doing coke," he reveals to her. "I think she's getting pretty used to having multiple hits a day."

"Perfect," Orvilla get a grin on her face. "I want you to ensure that she fails that damn art history class. If she fails, she be devastated and she won't be able to think about college or running the company."

"How can I make sure she fails?" Nate asks her quickly.

"Keep her high as a kite," Orvilla sneers at him. "If she's doing cocaine, she will not be in the right frame of mind to do well in school. Do you think you can handle that?"

"Leave it to me," Nate winks back at her. "I can handle this for you, you have my word."

The following day, Lyzz is being pushed in a wheelchair towards the exit of the hospital. She has been discharged and there is a sprinter van waiting to take her to a rehabilitation center, where she will spend some time getting over her addictions and learning how to deal with her grief in a positive manner.

She smiles when she sees Cole waiting by the van. "You didn't have to come to see me off," she says as she reaches Cole, who smiles back at her.

"After everything you've been through, you didn't think I would let you go without some fan fair, did you?" Cole chuckles back to her. "I kind of uprooted my life to be here, Lyzz."

"I get that," she replies to him. "Thank you for being here, it means a lot to me. I'm surprised my mother is here."

"I asked her to stay away," Cole admits to her. "I know that you're still dealing with the fact that she is back in town. I wanted this moment to be as peaceful as possible."

"See, that's why you're my friend," she winks back to him. "You know me so well. By the way, I heard you. When I was in the coma, I mean. I heard what you said to me."

Cole uneasily chuckles back to her before he gulps heavily. He recalls how while she was in a coma, he suggested that they were meant to be together.

"You did, huh?" he asks as she giggles back to him. "Well, what do you think about what I said?"

"I think you should kiss me goodbye," Lyzz tells him. "And then we can talk about it more when I'm back…unless you have to get back to Portland?"

Cole leans down and kisses her softly on the lips. "I'll be here when you get back because I think what we have to talk about is important."

"Based on that kiss, I think I agree with you," she tells him. "I'll be back soon, Cole."

"All that matters is that you get better," Cole replies to her. "Everything else can wait."

Justin "Arrow" Williams quickly moves into lobby of the Barracuda Blue as he is running late for his shift. He is still the resort manager but he is hoping that, soon, he will be an executive at Mecannica as this is what Orvilla has promised him since he has helped her with her plans to ensure she remains the CEO. The worst part is that he convinced his partner, Justin "Leaf" Matthews, to seduce Liam. Not only did Leaf have sex with Liam, but Arrow recorded the act so Orvilla could leak images to the Hawaiian Hack. Once Leaf realized that Arrow recorded him and Liam, he was furious with Arrow. He dumped him and moved out. What grinds Arrow's gears the most is that Liam offered Leaf a place to stay at the Thornton mansion.

He peers into the Café Tropical and sees Leaf sitting with a coffee and some waffles in front of him. He knows that Leaf was suspended from the tennis tour, but he is still employed at the resort as a tennis instructor for some of the guests. He finds himself moving towards his partner.

"Leaf," he says as he sits across from him. "How…how are you?"

Leaf finishes chewing his waffle before he sets his fork down. "You don't get it, do you?" he asks his former lover. "I've asked you for time and space but every chance you get, you're in my face."

"I…I just wanted to see how you're doing," Arrow defends himself. "I couldn't help but see that Liam heard us talking last night. He…he might know about the plan."

"Everyone knows that Orvilla set this all up," Leaf informs him. "Kymberlynne pieced it together, Arrow. So, your idea of getting promoted might just go to hell now and all of this would have been for nothing."

"I wish there was something I could do to make you realize that I am sorry," Arrow whispers back to him. "I love you, Justin. I don't want to lose you."

"You might not want to lose me, but you already have."

"I…I can't believe that," Arrow admits to him. "We've been together too long to let this come between us forever. I'll tell you what? I'll give you the time and space you need, and then maybe, just maybe we can reconnect?"

"Don't hold your breath," Leaf hisses back to him. "You betrayed me, my trust, us…I don't know that I will ever be able to get over that."

Suddenly, at the entrance way of restaurant some clears their throat causing the two men to look over. Leaf, immediately stands up in shock. "Oh my God," he says as he rushes up to the beautiful woman standing there. "Mom?" he asks as he hugs her. "What are you doing here?"

"I just checked in," Jacqueline Matthews smiles back to her son. "After I heard that you broke up with Arrow, I came to see how you're doing. And I'm not leaving here until I find out every detail about what happened."

Orvilla storms through the hallway of the Barracuda Blue as she moves back towards her office. She is just arriving to the Barracuda Blue for the day when she got word that there was an emergency board meeting called. She has no idea who called the meeting or why but she is furious that all the board members flew to Maui instead of her going to the Big Island for the meeting, which is where the board meetings are usually held. She will make sure that the person, or persons, responsible are held liable.

She opens the door to her office and sees the board sitting around on the sofa and the armchairs in her office. The board consists of five members; Frank Dean, who was one of Samuel's best friends; Julia Samson, who was one of the first investors into Meccanica; Charles Carey, who was the lawyer to Samuel's father, Gregor; Mateo Lopez, who was a Mexican investor before he married an American woman, Lucy Collins, and he started to build his American empire; and, of course, Orvilla.

"What is this all about?" Orvilla asks as she moves into the office and gets the boards attention. "Who called this meeting?"

"We were just discussing that very thing," Mateo replies to her as he stands up and moves up to Orvilla as he kisses both of her cheeks. "We were all booked on the same float plane with instructions to be here."

"On the plane, we thought that you were the one who called this meeting," Julia tells her. "It's lovely to see you, as always, Orvilla."

"Yes, likewise," Orvilla smiles back to her. "Well, this is most curious. If none of you called this meeting, and I didn't, then who did?"

"I'm glad you asked," a voice calls out at the doorway of the office. Orvilla turns and feels her blood start to boil at the sight of Kymberlynne, who is wearing an emerald, green pant suit with a large white flower broach and a matching white sun hat. "I called this meeting. Since my husband was the founder of this company, it is within my rights to call board meetings when I see fit."

"Kymberlynne Thorton?" Charles asks her in shock as he moves up to her to embrace. "I haven't seen you since Samuel's funeral. You're looking wonderful."

"Thank you, Charlie, you're a sweet man," Kymberlynne purses her lips together. "Hello Frank, Julia, Mateo, and of course, sister."

"What the hell is this all about?" Orvilla demand to know.

"Please have a seat," Kymberlynne tells her sister as the rest of the board returns to their seats. "You see, I called this meeting because I want my sister, Orvilla Anderson to be removed, effective immediately, as CEO of Meccanica."

"What?" Orvilla gasps back to her. Her temperature continues to rise as she is unnerved by what Kymberlynne is trying achieve with her meeting.

Kymberlynne sets her large Gucci bag down on the table and pulls out multiple files and starts passing them around to each board member. "I've prepared this dosier," Kymberlynne announces as she hands it to her sister, who glares back at her. "Inside, you will see the lengths that Orvilla has gone to ensure that my children, Samuel's heir's, will not be a part of this company. As a result, I would like your consideration in removing her."

The board collectively arch their eyebrows, and some gasp, as they read the doings of Orvilla towards Lyzz, Liam, and Rachelle. Kymberlynne's gaze moves to her sister, who looks back at her. Kymberlynne winks back at her knowing that she is sticking it to Orvilla.

"Now that you've had a moment to read the dosier, I'd like to have a vote. All in favor of removing Orvilla, you will vote 'yay'; all against the vote, you will vote 'nay'. Charles, why don't we start with you?"

Charles takes off his glasses and looks over at Orvilla. "As you know, Orvilla, I was the trust lawyer to Samuel's grandfather. I have known, and loved, the Thornton family for decades. What you've, it is unimaginable, and therefore, I for Yay."

"Thank you for your support, Charlie," Kymberlynne winks back at him before she turns her attention to Julia. "Julia, what is your vote?"

"While I appreciate that you're trying to defend your children, Kymberlynne, you need to realize some hard truths," Julia confidently tells her. "None of your children are fit to run this company. Frankly, the fact that you, who has been missing for six years, is bringing this to our attention is somewhat of a joke. If you were so concerned about Meccanica, you wouldn't have stayed away for so long. And, Orvilla, has done a fantastic job of running the company. Therefore, I vote Nay."

Orvilla looks over at Julia and gives her a nod of support. Kymberlynne feels her hands start to tremble a little as she believed the board would all vote in her favor. She takes a deep breath as she realizes she just needs two more votes.

"I…uh…I appreciate that input," she forces a smile on her face as she looks at Julia. Kymberlynne, then, looks over at Frank. "Frank, how do you vote?"

"I am in a similar position of Charles," Frank reveals to the group. "Samuel was one of my best friends. I was devastated when he died, tragically, on his yacht. I do not condone any misgivings towards Kymberlynne, and certainly, not his children. Therefore, I vote Yay."

Kymberlynne breathes a sigh of relief. One more vote and her plan will work. "Thank you, Frank. Mateo, let's move to your vote next. How do you feel about the dosier?"

Mateo throws the dosier back on the table with a chuckle. "Where I come from, these acts that you claim Orvilla did, they are child's play," he continues to chuckle. "In business, you have to be ruthless to stay on top. To me, Orvilla did nothing wrong. I vote Nay."

More panic sets into Kymberlynne as she looks over at Orvilla, who gets a wicked grin on her face. "I guess that leaves my vote," Orvilla tells her sister. "You think you're so clever, don't you? But once again, you show why I am the brains in this family. I, of course, vote Nay. Now, Kymberlynne, do me a favor? Get the hell out of my office before I call security."

Kymberlynne feels her eyes swell with water. She thought that she would be able to remove Orvilla, but she realizes that she will have to come up with another plan of attack. Kymberlynne collects her papers, places them back in her bag, and scurries out of the office. Once the office door is closed, Orvilla turns her attention to the board.

"I realize that I did some damaging things," she says. "But you have my word, that I will do whatever I can to regain your trust as the CEO. Now, let's have a drink before you head back to the Big Island?"
