The inside of the police station on Maui has a faint smell of mildew which has left Orvilla Anderson wishing she was anywhere else. The truth is, she is at the police station to see Alejandro "Alex" Sanchez-Lorenzo, who was arrested after he accidently shot, and killed, his mother, Paola. Orvilla realizes that she is, somewhat, responsible for what happened as she and Justin "Arrow" Williams had Paola kidnapped by Darryl Westin because she and Alex had discovered the actions that Orvilla took against her nieces and newphew, Lyzz, Liam, & Rachelle, to ensure that they wouldn't take over the CEO position of Meccanica. To counter that, Orvilla came up with the idea to kidnap Paola as no one should threaten her.

What happened next was mind boggling to Orvilla; after Alex was arrested, he called Orvilla and revealed to her that he is also a Thornton as Samuel had an affair with Paola years ago. This is news to Orvilla as she had no idea that Samuel had strayed from his marriage to her sister, Kymberlynne. Alex suggested that he would be able to help Orvilla keep the company as the stipulation in Samuel's will stated that once all of his children turned 18, they could choose to run the company. In the event that more than one of his children wanted to run the company, it would automatically default to the child that is the oldest, which would be Alex.

Orvilla, now, needs to ensure that this story that Alex has told her is in fact the truth; she has to discover if he is truly a Thornton because if it is true, she can use him to ensure that the company doesn't leave her hands. She has worked far too hard for that to happen, especially after everything she went through trying to keep the Thornton children out of the CEO position.

She looks up when she hears a loud and obnoxious buzzer go off. Just then, a police officer emerges with Alex following behind him. Alex is wearing an orange jumpsuit and is looking exhausted. Orvilla studies his face closely and can see the effects of killing his mother are impacting Alex's mental health; she knows how close they were, so she can only imagine how difficult this has been for him. That being said, she knows that she has regain her focus as she can't let this opportunity go by.

"You have five minutes," the officer tells Alex, who sits across from Orvilla. A thin layer of plexi-glass separates them, and Alex picks up the small black phone that is next to him. He watches as Orvilla also picks up her end of the receiver.

"You came," Alex whispers to her quickly as they lock eyes with one another.

"Your last call left me consumed with thoughts," Orvilla admits to him. "I haven't been able to think about anything else."

"You mean the fact that I am Samuel's oldest child?" he asks with a chuckle. "You must believe me if you're here."

"I didn't say that," Orvilla taps her finger on the edge of the glass. "I need proof, Alejandro. Without that, this little game will not be played."

"I lived with my other in a small house in town center," he replies to her. "There is a spare key in the flowerpot on the porch; use it, Orvilla. Inside, you'll find a toothbrush or my hair in combs. You can use that to complete a DNA test. It will be easy for you to get some DNA from a Thornton. It will prove that I'm telling the truth."

"Very good," Orvilla nods back to him. "I will handle this and get back to you. In the meantime, you take care of yourself."

Orvilla stands up and quickly moves away from the visiting station. Alex slowly hangs up the phone and sighs. He knows that the DNA test will prove his story, but he also knows that he is holding another secret deep inside. The last words that his mother ever said to him, 'Your father is alive,'.

"Once I get out of here," he whispers to himself. "I will find evidence that Samuel is alive. It might be my way to get complete control of everything that I deserve."

At the Thornton mansion, Caramel Colby enters the foyer after the maid lets them in. They check their IPhone quickly and sighs heavily when they doesn't see a new message from their best friend, Rachelle Thornton. Caramel has been rattled by the fact that Rachelle has been distant with them lately and they have no idea why. The truth is, Caramel has been worried about Rachelle's relationship with Nate Meadows as he recently kissed them, which threw Caramel through a loop. Furthermore, they know that Rachelle was not completing some of her homework because she was too busy having sex with Nate, which is unlike Rachelle. For years, Rachelle's main focus has been being the valedictorian, which would help her take over at the CEO of Meccanica. This is exactly why Caramel has arrived at the mansion; they are determined to figure out what is going on with their best friend.

They put their phone back into her purse and then storms towards the stairs. They make their way towards Rachelle's room and knocks on the door when they arrives.

"Rachelle," they call out. "It's me, Caramel, we…we have to talk," they continue to say. They knock on the door, again, but doesn't hear any response. "Rachelle, come on, we have to talk. We can't keep having this distance between us."

Still, no response. Caramel, suddenly, gets a feeling in the pit of their stomach that something is very wrong. They move their hand to the door handle and slowly turn it. They open the door and peers inside. "Rachelle?" they call out as they move into the room. They move to Rachelle's bed and gasps when they see a bag of drugs laying on the blanket. "Rachelle? Where are you? Rachelle!"

Caramel rushes towards the washroom and screams out in horror when they see Rachelle laying on the ground. There is some vomit by Rachelle's mouth and her leg is still twitching slightly.

"Oh my God, Rachelle! Help me! Somebody help me! Rachelle! Rachelle needs help!" Caramel screams out as she rushes down to their best friend, hoping that she isn't dead or close to being dead.

In the living room of the Thornton mansion, Kymberlynne Thornton paces back and forth as her mind races over recent events at the Barracuda Blue. She was at the bar enjoying a drink relishing in the fact that she and Carson just finished making love; it was the first time since her return to the Barracuda Blue that they had been intimate again. She had been keeping her former lover at arm's length, however, after he suggested that one of her children take over as CEO of the Barracuda Blue, her emotions got the best of her and she and Carson made love in his office.

As she sat at the bar, glowing in the post-ecstasy frame of mind, her sister, Orvilla, approached and reminded her that she knew of her affair with Carson. Orvilla threatened her sister by telling her that if she didn't back off trying to get her removed as CEO of Meccanica, she would tell her children about her affair with Carson.

Kymberlynne can't believe that just when she and Carson reconnected, her sister is blackmailing her with more damaging information that could hurt her relationship with her children. Ever since she returned to Maui, she knows that her children have been distant with her because she left town after their father, her husband, Samuel was killed. The truth is, however, she was not in any capacity to raise children at the time; she needed the mental break to cope with her grief. She does wish that her time away didn't expand to six years, but she can't change that now.

"What I do know," she whispers to herself as she pours herself a stiff drink at the bar. "Is that if Orvilla tells my children that I was sleeping with Carson before Samuel's death, they will hate me."

She takes a long sip of her drink as she wonders how she can counter this latest attack from Orvilla. "Damn you, Orvilla," she tells herself. "You always seem to be one step ahead of me and I need to find a way to stop you from blowing up my life any more than you already have."

It is a glorious day at the Barracuda Blue as the sun is beating down on the pool deck, which means there are many guests lounging in chairs under umbrellas and other's enjoying the cool water of the pool. Inside the Café Tropical, which doors spill into the pool deck, Lyzz and Liam Thornton sit across from one another with some sparkling waters on their table. There is a thick tension between the siblings as they have both agreed to take over as the CEO of Meccanica. The problem lies, however, that there can only be one CEO.

"This can't go on forever," Lyzz sighs heavily to her brother before she takes a sip of her water. "We have to decide which one of us will take over the company from Orvilla."

"Ugh, I know," Liam waves his hand back to her. "I am just finding this entire thing very ironic."

Lyzz nervously chuckles back to him. "Ironic? How?"

"Well," Liam looks back at her with intent. "For years, you and I were content to sit on the sidelines. We all believed that Rachelle would take over the company once she graduated. Now that she can't, you and I both want the position even though we were against it before."

"I guess our priorities changed especially after we learned what Orvilla did to all of us to prevent us from taking over," Lyzz reminds him. "Orvilla has to be stopped."

"I don't disagree," Liam looks back at her with intent. "So, how are we going to decide this, Lyzz? How are we going to determine who will take over as CEO of Meccanica?"

About an hour later, Kymberlynne moves into the Café Tropical and she, immediately, sees her two children still sitting together as Lyzz and Liam continue to hash out which one will take over the company. Kymberlynne pauses for a moment as she realizes that this is her chance to tell them that she was wrong; they can't take over the company. Kymberlynne has realized that she has to put a pin in her children taking over until she can come up with a concrete plan to stop Orvilla's blackmail scheme.

"Oh good, you're here," Kymberlynne announces as she moves up to her children. "I can just say this once then."

Lyzz and Liam look at one another in confusion as they wonder what their mother is about to spring on them now.

"What is now, Kymberlynne?" Lyzz hisses back to her mother. Lyzz is still struggling to come to terms with the fact that Kymberlynne is back in town after abandoning her and her siblings after their father died. She has a lot of resentment built up towards her and that won't go away quickly.

Kymberlynne sits down and sets her large Gucci purse down on the table. She takes a deep breath as she has no idea how she will convince them to change their minds about running the family company but Kymberlynne knows that it's her own chance or not ruining their relationships even more.

"There…there is no easy way to say this," Kymberlynne gulps heavily. "But…"

Before she can say anything else, her cell phone starts to ring. She looks at the screen of her IPhone and arches her eyebrow when she sees that it is Carmel.

"Hang on, it is Carmel," Kymberlynne tells her children. "This might be important."

Kymberlynne, then, accepts the call and moves the phone to her ear. "Caramel, hi, it's been a while, how are you?"

Kymberlynne feels the blood drain from her face as she hears what Caramel is telling her. "Oh my God…" she says as she looks at her children, who look back at her in curiosity. "It's Rachelle, she's at the hospital…we have to go…"

Orvilla storms into the Barracuda Blue and makes a beeline for the elevator. Her head spinning from her visit at the jail with Alex. She has access to his DNA to help prove that he is, in fact, a Thornton, but she will still need some form of DNA from one of the Thornton's. As the elevator doors open, she gets an idea and a sly smile comes across her face.

When the elevator doors open, she steps out and moves towards the small accounting office; the office that Lyzz has worked in for a years. She opens the door and steps inside. She is not surprised to see that the office is empty; in fact, it will help her cause.

"There must be something in this dreadful office that I can use to compare to Alex's DNA," she whispers to herself as she starts to rifle around the desk. "Lyzz has spent so much time in here."

She opens the desk drawer and rolls her eyes at the sight. She pulls out a glass ashtray, which has cigarette butts in it. "This is a smoke free property," Orvilla hisses as she drops the ashtray down on the desk. "But, you have left some cigarettes here, which means your lips have touched them. I can use these to compare your DNA to Alex's."

She opens a cupboard door and finds some plastic gloves. She places one on her hand and, then, collects some of the cigarette butts and places them into a small plastic bag. She places the plastic bag into her purse and then throws the rest of the contents of the ashtray in the garbage. She looks at the ashtray and then throws it, as well, into the garbage can.

Kelvin Jetter moves into the main lobby of the Barracuda Blue pushing a luggage cart. The cart is empty as he just finished helping some wealth guest's check into their suite. This is a part of his job, but pushing the heavy cart all day makes him realize that he doesn't have to work out every day; his arms look naturally toned from the work he does at the resort.

As he puts the cart back by the front door, he happens to see Justin "Leaf" Matthews move into the lobby. Immediately, Kelvin recalls how he heard Leaf and his mother, Jacqueline, talking about the idea that Leaf could be with Liam, which would ensure his future is financially stable. Kelvin hasn't told anyone about the conversation he heard as he knows that if Liam is out of the picture, he might have a chance with Marco Belli. Kelvin knows that he and Marco have had sex a couple of times, but when he's tried to push something more with Marco, he has said that he has deeper feelings for the Thornton heir. Seeing Leaf in the lobby, Kelvin realizes that he can seize the chance to try to push him and Liam closer together.

"Leaf, hey, how's it going?" Kelvin says with a grin on his face as he approaches the former tennis coach.

Leaf takes off his sunglasses and smiles back at the bellhop. "Doing alright, Kelvin. What's good with you?"

Kelvin chuckles back to him. "Can we talk for a second?"

"Uh, sure," Leaf nods back to him. "Let's go to Café Tropical quickly?"

Leaf and Kelvin move into the restaurant, unaware that Marco has spotted them and follows them as he is curious as to what they are doing together. Marco moves around behind a large palm tree and listens to the conversation unfolding between the two men.

"So, what did you want to talk about?" Leaf asks Kelvin as they face one another.

"Well, I've…I'm going to be frank," Kelvin looks back at him with intent. "There are many rumors that you and Liam are getting closer…"

Leaf nervously chuckles back to him. "I suppose we are."

Kelvin nods back to him. "I just wanted to tell you to go for it," he tells him as Marco arches his eyebrow as he listens to the conversation unfold. "I…I think you two make a great couple. I…I just wanted you to know that you have my support."

"Thanks?" Leaf replies to him, unsure about why Kelvin is saying this to him. They've never been that close so Kelvin giving him his support in his relationship with Liam. "I guess I appreciate that but this is a little weird."

"I don't mean to overstep," Kelvin tells him. "I just want gays to be happy, that's all."

"What are you up to, Kelvin?" Marco whispers to himself as he leaves the area, wondering what is going on with Kelvin.

A short time later, Leaf is sitting outside on the pool deck with a cocktail in front of him. His mind is racing about his conversation with Kelvin; he still has no idea why the bellhop would give his support to his relationship with Liam, but he is trying to focus on what matters and that is continuing his relationship with the Thornton heir.

"Have you put sunscreen on? It's supposed to be ghastly today," Jacqueline tells her son as she moves up to him. "I don't think I will be able to handle it."

Leaf chuckles to her as she sits next to him. "I did apply some sunscreen, and you will survive; just stay in the shade."

"Yes, you're right. What are you thinking about? Liam, I hope?" Jacqueline asks him, knowing that she wants her son to be with Liam so his future would be secured.

"I haven't been thinking about much else," Leaf admits to his mother. "Liam and I, we are in a good place…I…I don't want to rock the boat."

"I think you need to act quickly," she informs him. "You two are in a good place right?" she asks as he nods back to her. "Then now is the time to secure Liam; you need to do whatever you can to make sure that you two are together, Justin. Trust me on this, please? I want you to have your financial future set."

"I'll do what I can," Leaf nods back to her, wondering what he could do to secure his relationship with Liam.

Meanwhile, across the pool deck, Justin "Arrow" Williams sees his former partner and his mother talking. He can't help but wonder what they are talking about Liam and their new relationship. Deep down, Arrow still wants to get back together with Leaf, but he knows that Leaf is not handling his role in Orvilla's plan to stay CEO of Meccanica very well.

"One day," he whispers to himself. "We will be together, I know we will."

Cole Rockwell slowly pulls his Mercedes into the parking lot of the Aloha Apartments, which is a walk-up apartment in the village on Maui. He turns his car off and takes a deep breath as he prepares to leave his vehicle. He is at the apartments today to see Chloe Peller; he is still reeling from the fact that she announced that she is pregnant with his child. He did sleep with Chloe, however, he only did that because he was trying to figure out if she was drugging Lyzz while she was in her coma. If Chloe is pregnant with his child, he doesn't know how it will impact his budding romance with Lyzz.

He exits his vehicle and heads to the front door of the apartment building. He rushes up the staircase to the second level and knocks on the front door of Chloe's apartment. Within a few minutes, Chloe opens the door and, immediately, gets a smile on her face at the sight of former lover.

"Cole, uh, what are you doing here?" Chloe asks him as she lets him into her modest apartment. She knows that her place is probably much less fancy than what Cole would be accustomed too as his family is incredibly wealthy.

"Did you really think that I would stay away after the bombshell that you dropped on me and Lyzz?" Cole turns to face her. "You told me that you're pregnant with my child."

Chloe puts her hand on her belly and then looks back at him. "It's true," she nods back to him. "I'm not showing yet, but I am pregnant Cole. I'm going to have your child. Your son, Rocky, he's going to have a baby brother or sister. I'm…I'm just tickled by this news."

"I hate to burst your bubble," Cole looks back at her with intent. "But I'm going to need proof. I…I want to have a pregnancy test completed."

"Well, you're in luck," Chloe replies to him. "Because that's exactly how I found out that I was pregnant; I took a test."

Chloe leaves the room and scurries away to the restroom. Cole runs his hand through his hair as he waits for Chloe to return. When she does, she has a pregnancy test in her hand.

"Here," she passes him the test. "This is the test that I took to prove that I'm pregnant, Cole. I'm going to have your child."

Cole looks at the stick and sees that there is a positive sign. There is no denying that the test confirms that Chloe is pregnant.

"I wouldn't lie to you about this," Chloe tells him. "We are having a baby, Cole. What happens next is up to you, Cole. You can decide if you want to be a part of this baby's life or not, but either way, I am having this baby. I would just rather have you next to me."

Orvilla waits in a room of a small medical center that is on Maui. The clinic is a private clinic, so not just anyone would be able to be at this clinic as it is rather expensive. She specifically chose this clinic for that reason; she wanted to be somewhere that no one would know where she was.

"Ms. Anderson," a young female nurse says as she opens the office door where Orvilla is sitting. "It is my understanding that you are requesting a DNA test, is that correct?"

"Yes, that's correct," Orvilla purses her lips together. After she left the Barracuda Blue with the cigarette butts, she made a beeline to Alex and Paola's apartment. She found the spare key where Alex advised her that it was, and she was able to find Alex's toothbrush, which she has in her purse. "I came to this clinic for specific reasons."

"I see. What are those reasons?"

Orvilla tilts her head back at her. "I need the utter most confidence with this," she warns her. "Absolutely no one can know about this test other than me."

"You have my word."

"Perfect," Orvilla tells her. "Now, all I have are these cigarette butts from one of the candidates to know if they are related; is that enough?"

"It shouldn't be a problem," the nurse replies to her. "If I need anything else, I will contact you. But, this should be enough."

"And how long before I get these results? Time is critical for me."

"Not long, not long at all."

"I will expect your call soon," Orvilla tells her as she stands up and leaves the plastic bag on the desk. "And remember what I said, no one else can know about this."

Kymberlynne paces back and forth in the waiting room of the medical center on Maui. Lyzz and Liam are huddle next to one another in some chairs as they are waiting for some update on Rachelle. Caramel just stepped out of the room to get everyone some coffee or water.

"What is taking so long? Why haven't we heard something?" Kymberlynne finally stops pacing and looks at her children.

"The doctors are still with her, that must be a good sign," Liam suggests to her. "Once Rachelle is stable, we will find out more information."

"I never thought I'd say this but I agree with Kymberlynne," Lyzz says as Liam looks back at her in surprise. "I just want to know that my little sister is okay."

Before they can respond, a doctor appears at the entrance way of the waiting room. "Mrs. Thornton?" he asks her as Kymberlynne rushes over to him while Liam and Lyzz walk up behind their mother.

"Yes, that's me," Kymberlynne tries to keep her voice from cracking. "What happened to Rachelle? And…and is she okay?"

"I'm afraid your daughter overdosed on drugs," the doctor reveals as Kymberlynne covers her mouth in shock. The last thing that she expected to hear was that her sweet daughter had overdosed. Lyzz and Liam look at one another in shock as this is feeling very familiar since Lyzz was just in an accident related to drugs. Immediately, the family hugs one another, hoping that Rachelle will make a full recovery, even though that may or may not happen.
