SEASON ONE: Cole returned to Kelsey Lake after a year away in New York in a rehab center to help with his cocaine addiction. He immediately drove into Celeste's car and offered to help her get it repaired. Instantly, however, he was attracted to the tall blonde. He pursued her, despite her telling him that she was involved with someone else. Meanwhile, the Rockwell's welcomed Cole home. Mac offered him a job at Rockwell Mining, which Cole happily accepted. Cole and Lex, however, soon started to clash at work as Lex had taken over Cole's place at the company. Mac tried to get his son's to get along, but Cole didn't like Lex's idea to bride the Russian's into giving Rockwell Mining their mine. Lex's idea won out and Rockwell Mining got the mine.

Cole and Celeste, meanwhile, continued to flirt with one another. They shared a kiss and she finally told Cole and they couldn't be together. That night, Mac threw an engagement party to introduce friend and family to his new fiance. Cole was shocked to see Celeste as his father's new woman. In the aftermath of the reveal, Celeste told Cole that they have to stay away from each other. Cole tried but was still attracted to her. He watched as Celeste and Mac got married.

Following the wedding, Mac had to leave for a business trip leaving Cole and Celeste alone. During a storm, Celeste found a distraught Cole about to fall off the wagon. She kissed him and they ended up in bed together. Mac came home early and almost caught the two in bed! Celeste told Cole that their affair was a mistake, which crushed Cole.

When things didn't improve at Rockwell Mining, Cole quit and told Mac that he didn't believe in how things were being run at the company. Lydia took advantage of this and was able to get Cole to sign over his proxy of his shares to his mother.

Cole started to grow concerned when Celeste was seemingly feeling faint. At the end of the season, Celeste revealed to Cole that she was pregnant.

SEASON TWO: Cole was floored by Celeste's revelation that she was pregnant as he believed that he could be the baby's father. Celeste quickly shot him down, telling him that Mac had to be the father and nothing else would be acceptable. Cole agreed to keep the baby a secret until Celeste was ready to tell Mac the truth. They got word about Stacey's car accident and rushed to the hospital. Mac spotted Cole and Celeste together and wondered what was going on; to cover, Celeste revealed the pregnancy. Mac was overjoyed. He surprised Celeste with a nursery at the house, which upset Cole. Lucinda, meanwhile, overheard Cole confess his affair with Celeste to a comatose Stacey. At the mansion, Cole cornered Celeste in the nursery and professed his love to her and told her that their night together meant everything to him; he had no idea that Mac overheard their conversation via a baby monitor he purchased. The following day, Lydia arrived at the mansion to ensure everything was ready for Stacey, who awoke and was coming home. She caught Cole and Celeste in another close moment and confronted them, as she suspected something was going on between them. During the altercation, Celeste fell down the stairs. At the hospital, Dr. Chen told Cole that she miscarried the baby. Cole was gutted knowing that the baby could have been his. Mac, meanwhile, arrived at the hospital and saw them together again. He revealed that he knew about the affair and punched Cole. Cole, meanwhile, lashed out at Lydia for her role in the death of the baby. She tried to get him to forgive her to no avail. Shortly after, Mac made Celeste finally choose between him and Cole. Cole was gutted when Celeste chose Mac. Cole, then, was horrified to learn that Lydia lied about Lex's paternity for years. On the verge of a breakdown, Cole turned to Vivian for sex. They ended up in bed numerous times, and he comforted her on Houston's birthday. Celeste saw them together and felt weird. Shortly after, Cole was at a family dinner when Lex collapsed. He rushed to the hospital to see his brother. While waiting for an update, Odette burst into the waiting room and shot her gun at Mac!

SEASON THREE: Cole jumped in front of the bullets that Odette fired towards Mac when he realized that Celeste was going to be shot. Brock Jennings, a high school friend of Stacey's, was rehabbing Cole back to health as it was only a flesh wound. The shooting, however, made Cole realize that he still had feelings for Celeste. He shared some kisses with her, but she told him that she couldn't hurt Mac again. Vivian, however, saw the two of them kissing. Cole went to end things with Vivian, but she professed her love for him. Cole got cold feet. After Lex's transplant was a success, Cole realized he couldn't delay it: he ended things with Vivian, who vowed revenge on him and Celeste. Mac, meanwhile, realized that Celeste still had feelings for Cole. Mac confronted Celeste, who admitted it. Mac agreed to divorce her, but Celeste left town. Cole raced to stop Celeste from leaving; he did and they reunited. Cole was then devastated when Lydia was presumed dead. Cole and Celeste got engaged, but she was keeping another secret from him: she learned that she couldn't have any more children. Marat convinced Celeste to be honest with Cole before wedding; she did and Cole was upset but supportive. Vivian crashed the wedding and announced that not only did Marat and Celeste have a child together that they gave up for adoption, but Vivian had adopted her! Cole was shocked at Celeste's lies and ended things with her, leaving Celeste devastated.

SEASON FOUR: Cole, desperate to get over Celeste and her betrayal, poured himself into Rockwell Mining. He learned quickly that the contract for the Kelsey Lake mine was coming up and he told Mac. Mac suggested Cole to go New York to meet with Grant Shaw, the foreman of the mine. Wanting space from Celeste, Cole agreed to go. In New York, Grant told Cole that all bids would be reviewed and the best company would wine. Cole fought his demons while in NYC as he continued to think about Celeste. Cole went out drinking and then got some cocaine. He got high and called his former junkie buddy, Dixie Ryan. They got high together and had sex. Dixie returned to Kelsey Lake with Cole, and they continued to mix sex and drugs together. Cole was then called to testify for Vivian at her custody hearing against Celeste and Marat. Cole was upset, but Vivian told him that all he had to do was drag Celeste through the mud on the stand, and she would wine. Meanwhile, Cole advised Mac to add an 11% or 12% bonus to the Kelsey Lake mind bid and they would win, since this is how Lex obtained the Kremlin Diamond contract. Mac thought it was brilliant, and thanked Cole. The morning of the custody hearing, Cole got stoned and Dixie went to get more drugs. While Dixie was away, Brock emerged and he gave an aroused Cole a blow job. Mac saw Cole after and advised him to get to the court house ASAP or he would be arrested. Cole, still high, took the stand and slammed Celeste for all of her lies on the witness stand. Devastated, Celeste slapped him across the face. After the trial, Cole found Dixie. They got high again and got a room at the club. Cole went to shower and emerged to find Dixie dead in the hotel bed, having overdosed! Cole called Mac to help, who assisted his son in getting rid of the body. Cole was forced into rehab from Mac. He was also stunned to learn of Stacey's shooting and that Houston & Lydia were alive. He, and Lex, reunited with their mother. Cole then saw Celeste and realized the error of his ways, as she lost custody of Ashlee. He vowed to make it up to her. Cole went to Vivian and agreed to a date with her. On their date, Cole turned on his charm and got Vivian to admit that Ashlee isn't Celeste's daughter. Cole told her would never be with Vivian again and left. Cole revealed this truth to Marat, Celeste and Stacey. Celeste thanked him and, soon, they were back in bed with one another. At the party, Lex overheard Cole & Brock talking about their sexual encounter.

SEASON FIVE: Lex was still upset with Cole about getting a blow job from Brock, but they worked together when they were near each other in the aftermath of the bombs at the Rockwell mansion. They discovered a dead Brock. Celeste, meanwhile, was injured in the chaos and insisted she move back into the mansion. Celeste agreed. Cole, then, was put off about Grant Shaw showing back up in Kelsey Lake and was looking for his sister, Dixie. He told Mac, who assured him that no one would know their secret. At Rockwell Mining, Mac uncovered some new land he wanted to mine on; it turns out the land was a preserved land mine. Cole wanted to try to extract the diamonds, but Lex was opposed to it. They clashed at work even more, which was already fueled by Lex's determination to get back at Cole. Houston then announced that Celeste was pregnant and Marat was the father! Cole was furious with Celeste and kicked her out of the mansion. Cole told his parents that the news wouldn't cause him to fall off the wagon. Mac and Cole continued to discuss Dixie's death, unaware Lex overheard. Lex realized this was his way to get back at Cole. Vivian, meanwhile, learned about Cole's role in Dixie's death and told him she'd keep his secret if they had sex. Reeling from Celeste, Cole jumped into bed with her. But she revealed that Grant told him about Dixie, he was livid and ended things with her for good. He was then arrested for Dixie's murder; he insisted he was innocent. Mac vowed to help his son. He produced Dixie's body and had an autopsy performed which confirmed she died from an overdose. Cole was cleared. At Rockwell mining, Cole and Lex seemingly came to an understand on how to handle the preserved land and grew closer. The arrest made Cole realize that he still cared about Celeste but she told him she had to leave town to be with Marat until the baby was born. Garrett then summoned the Rockwell's together. The family was horrified as Lex was talking to himself. Garrett arrived and made an announcement as to who gaslighted Lex, caused Stacey to drink more and created the arrest for Cole: Odette! She lashed out at the family and pulled a gun on them. Lucinda knocked Odette out; Garrett grabbed Lucinda and revealed that they were blackmailing Dr. Chen to keep Lucinda medicated. Lex then pretended to see Jarek when Odette awoke causing her to put the gun down. Mac wrestled with her and the gun went off, Odette was killed. Lex and Cole made amends and Cole started dating Madi, the woman who worked that the wild preserved reservation. Celeste and Marat crashed Houston and Stacey's engagement party; Celeste made it clear she wanted Cole back.

CHRISTMAS SPECIAL: Cole was upset to learn that his parents were divorcing. He encouraged his mother to rethink the divorce. He then saw Madi and vowed to make her Christmas special. Celeste heard and realized he was going to propose. Cole told Lydia and Stacey he wanted to propose to Madi; Stacey agreed to design a ring for him. He then interrupted a confrontation between Madi and Celeste and told Celeste to back off. On Christmas Day, he proposed to Madi but Celeste interrupted and announced that Madi's mother was Vivian Blackmore!

GOLD DIGGERS: Cole told Celeste that despite Vivian being Madi's mother, he was in love with her and would marry her. Celeste was devastated but realized that she had to move on from Cole. Cole and Madi reunited and planned to be married. Madi then stunned Cole by revealing that her father was back in town and wasn't happy that they were together. Cole and Madi paid Vivian and Chase a visit and tried to get through to her parents, which seemingly worked. Celeste accidently told Madi the truth about Cole's torrid past with Vivian. Madi was furious and slapped Cole and announced that she could kill Celeste. Cole and Mac discussed and realized that something bad could happen should Madi and Celeste come face to face. They went to Madi's office and found Celeste's dead body! The police ruled it a murder. Cole wondered if Madi killed Celeste. Madi was furious that he suggested it. On the day of Stacey and Houston's wedding, however, Madi was arrested for Celeste's murder.

WALKING DEAD: Cole continued to worry about Madison, who was still in jail as she was awaiting trial for "murdering" Celeste. He went to his father to see if Mac could get the charges dropped but Mac warned his son that any fowl play before the trial would look too suspicious. Cole was upset but agreed. Cole went to Chase and Vivian for help, unaware they were plotting against him and Madi even being together. Cole visited Madi and professed his love to her. He then told her that the trial date had finally be set; this further annoyed Madi's parents as they wanted to be the ones to tell Madi the news about the trial. Cole supported the family while Stacey was hospitalized. The day before Madi's trial, Cole got a text from Vivian to meet him at her place. Once there, Vivian and Chase drugged Cole, who passed out. While out, Vivian stripped him and put on a blonde wig before crawling into bed with him. Chase snapped pictures of them in what appeared to be a compromising position. The next day at the trial, Madi plead guilty to murdering Celeste! Cole was stunned and had no idea why she changed her mind. Cole told Lydia he couldn't remember the previous day; they thought Vivian could have done something to him.

CHRISTMAS SPECIAL: Cole continued to be reeled that Madison changed her murder charge plead to guilty. He visited her in jail and she told him that she
plead guilty because of her broken heart. He was floored when she told
him that she "knew" of his affair! Cole told Lydia about this, who
figured out that Vivian must have drugged him. Cole enlisted the
helped of Stacey and Lex to figure this out, they agreed. Lex broke
into Vivian's mansion and found her blonde wig. Stacey put it on and
when Vivian and Chase arrived home, they confronted the "blonde".
Stacey demanded the truth from them; Vivian admitted it all, unaware
that Cole was taping the entire conversation. Cole raced to Madi with
the truth; she was devastated and vowed to never see her parents
again. Cole, meanwhile, was devastated by the death of Mac. He was
even more upset when Carmen took over as CEO of Rockwell Mining.

CABO WABO: Cole, Stacey and Lex were all horrified when Mac's will was read and they were each left with a quarter of his shares in Rockwell Mining with Carmen getting the last quarter. This meant that Carmen was going to retain the CEO position of the company, despite the company suffering as a result of her leadership. Lydia asked her children to come up with a way to get rid of Carmen. Cole, however, was also still visiting Madi in jail, who was placed in a state prison after she pleaded guilty to "killing" Celeste. Lydia and Lucinda realized that if they found Celeste, not only would the help Cole and Madi, but it could be their way to getting rid of Carmen so they told Cole that Celeste was alive. Cole was stunned and told Madi that he had a lead on getting her out of jail. Cole hired Casper Ross to help him find Celeste. Casper was instantly attracted to Cole, who told him that he was straight. Casper got a lead on Celeste in Seattle so the two flew out to see if panned out. In the hotel, Casper and Cole grew closer as Cole fought his attraction to him, as he thought about his time with Brock Jennings previously. Eventually, they had sex. In the aftermath, once the lead didn't pan out, Cole fired Casper. Casper told him that it was just sex and Cole needed to realize that he liked it. Cole finally agreed to see Casper again but then was stunned to see Mac and Celeste alive and well.

THE SWITCH: Cole and Madi were reunited as she was released from jail. They were planning their wedding, however, Cole wasn't able to get Casper out of his mind. He went to his lover to end things but they ended up in bed again. They both agreed it was the last time. Chase, however, witnessed them kiss. Cole, meanwhile, continued to tell Madi that he wanted her to make nice with her parents, but she ended up forcing them to split up. On the day of the wedding, Chase had a secret meeting with Madi. Once the ceremony began, Cole said his vows but Madi burst into tears and admitted she knew about his affair! Madi slapped him and rushed off, leaving Cole stunned. Chase told Cole that he told Madi the truth about his affair. Cole was then stunned to learn that Nathan Lockhart is really Lucinda's son. Cole booked it to Casper's and they shared a steamy kiss.

CHRISTMAS MINI SERIES: Cole and Casper continued their affair, even though Cole admitted to his lover that he wasn't looking for anything serious. He then ran into Madi, who told him that they were over for good. Cole admitted to Lydia that he felt lost since Madi left him at the altar. She encouraged her son to find himself again. Cole, as a result, dumped Casper, who was devastated. Cole then saw Madi again, who told him that she was leaving town. They seemingly ended on good terms. Cole, then, was approached by Casper, who revealed that he was already seeing someone knew. Cole and Vivian had a drink together and got along. Cole and Vivian kissed and ended up in bed together! In the aftermath, Cole told her that while he needed her, they couldn't hurt Madi by being together again.

SEASON SIX: Cole and Vivian ended up in bed together but he told her nothing serious could happen between them because of Madi. Vivian soon said goodbye to Cole and she left town. Cole, like the rest of his family, was stunned by Mac’s paternity reveal. He tried to comfort Mac, and Lucinda, but both of them told him that they needed him to focus on Rockwell Mining. Cole went to Rockwell, after Nathan took over as CEO, but realized that Nathan wouldn’t tell him any information. He was then stunned to see Celeste at the company! She explained that she got an early release and Nathan gave her a job at the company. A short time alter, Nathan hired a man named Richard Coleman at the company, who was really Cole in disguise. Cole reported to Mac all the on-going’s at the company. Soon, however, Celeste realized that Cole and Richard were one and the same! To cover, Cole kissed Celeste and they made love. In the wake, he told her that this was their chance to be together but Celeste had a soft spot for Nathan as he gave her a second chance. Cole told Mac that he had to stop snooping because Celeste knew the truth. Celeste agreed to keep Cole’s secret but refused to spy on him. Shortly after, Celeste heard Nathan threaten to kill Cole and Nathan was shot.

SEASON SEVEN: Cole was worried about Nathan after he was shot. He was floored when Mac was arrested for the shooting after Nathan claimed his brother shot him. Cole, then, told Celeste about the shooting and she acted oddly. Sabine revealed to Cole that she saw Celeste at the hospital checking up on Nathan. Cole began to wonder if Celeste was the one who shot Nathan. He confronted her and she was horrified at the suggestion. Cole had to testify at Mac's trial, but he still worried about his father. Celeste took the stand and was forced to admit that she and Nathan had an affair before he was shot! Cole and Sabine were horrified. In the aftermath, Celeste tried to get Cole to understand, but he dumped Celeste. At home, Cole told her to pack her bags and leave the mansion. While Celeste was leaving, Sabine returned home and the women had an altercation where Celeste pushed Sabine down the stairs! Sabine, as a result, miscarried her baby. Cole and Sabine blamed Celeste for the miscarriage, who tried to plead her case. Cole maintained that their relationship was over. Cole, meanwhile, learned that Lex and Casper were getting closer. Cole told Casper to stay away from Lex, but he didn't. After Lex told Cole that he and Casper kissed, Cole told Lex the truth about his affair with Casper, which left Lex rattled. After Mac was found guilty, Houston suggested to Celeste that she reach out to Cole for support but both Cole, and Sabine, pushed Celeste away. Sabine told Cole that if he was going to forgive Celeste he better do it quickly because she had seen Celeste and Houston together. After Mac was saved, Cole realized he did have feelings for Celeste and went to find her but he discovered her in bed with Houston!

SEASON EIGHT: Cole was stunned to see Madison back in town, following Vivian's accident. He supported her while she was worried that her mother was going to die. Soon, the former fiancé's were kissing again, which Celeste saw. Celeste, meanwhile, continued to tell Cole that they belonged together but he kept her at arm's length away because he saw her in bed with Houston. Celeste, eventually, realized that Cole saw her and Houston together and told him that it was just a onetime thing. Cole, however, told her that they were over and he continued to pursue Madison again. Celeste saw them in bed together and thought she had lost him, but she told Cole that she knew he still loved her; that's why he went to see her the day he caught her in bed with Houston. After Sabine and Nathan's wedding, Celeste went to Cole and revealed her naked body to him, just as Madison approached.

CHRISTMAS - JINGLE BELL ROCK: Cole realized that he had to do something to make Madison realize that he wanted to be with her, not Celeste. Madi, however, told Cole that she didn't want to go on the same old merry-go-round with him and Celeste. He promised her that he only wanted her. He told Celeste the same thing, but Celeste was determined to get Cole back. Madi, meanwhile, agreed to go on a date with Cole and they had a good time. Things heated up and they went back to his room, but Madi discovered another pair of women's underwear in his room! She stormed out and then told Cole that she was leaving town after Christmas. Cole, meanwhile, realized Celeste planted the underwear and confronted her. During their heated exchange, they ended up in bed together!

SEASON NINE: Cole was furious with Celeste for her role in breaking up him and
Madi. She protested that he made love to her, but he claimed that he
only did that to get revenge on her. Celeste was horrified. Cole went
to Vivian’s, but he learned that Madi had left town. Cole threw
himself into work, but was devastated when Mortimer died. He bonded
with his family in their time of grief. Celeste continued to try to
make inroads to no avail. Shortly after, Cole saw Celeste and Houston
sharing a drink and felt jealous. Lex suggested to his brother that he
did still care for Celeste and told him to re-examine his feelings
before it was too late. Cole realized that he did still care for
Celeste and decided to tell her, but he saw Madi back in town, with his son!

THE DIAMOND THAT STOLE CHRISTMAS: Cole was stunned to see that Madi was back in town, with a baby boy
named Rocky, whom she claimed he was the father too. Cole asked for a
DNA test, which Madi agreed too. Lex told his brother that regardless
of whether or not he was the father, he could still be with Celeste if
that's what he wanted. Cole told Celeste what happened and was
stunned. On Christmas Day, Cole and Celeste shared a close moment, but
it was interrupted by Madi announcing that the DNA results were back,
which confirmed that Cole fathered Rocky. Celeste watched as Madi and
Cole embraced.
