THE SWITCH: Dane came to Kelsey Lake to do business with Mac. They hit it off and Mac invited him to Cole's wedding. Dane agreed. There, Dane came face to face with Lucinda and revealed that he was the father of Lucinda's son … Mac!

CHRISTMAS MINI SERIES: Dane approached Lucinda and requested that he stay in town until after Christmas so he could celebrate the holiday with Mac. Lucinda warned him that he was playing with fire but agreed to talk to Mac. He was thrilled when Lucinda told him that Mac gave the okay. Shortly after, Dane was summoned to the mansion where he saw Lucinda again. They ended up in a heated discussion about their secret, unaware that Slate had planted a bug in the study and heard everything. On Christmas Day, Dane and Mac grew closer. Shortly after, Nathan stunned everyone by announcing that Dane was Mac's father!

SEASON SIX: Dane was upset with Mac when he pushed him out of his life. Lucinda told her former lover that Mac's life was turned upside down by the paternity reveal and it will just take time. Dane, then, saw Mac and realized he was doing drugs and drinking to cope with the news that he is his biological father. He told Lucinda that he was worried about Mac. They grew closer while Lucinda worried about her feuding sons.

SEASON SEVEN: Dane supported Lucinda after Nathan was shot. He was mortified when Mac was arrested for the crime; he worried he would lose his son when he just got Mac in his life. After Mac was found guilty, Lucinda announced that she had to go out of town on business. He worried that Lucinda wouldn’t get to say goodbye to Mac before he was executed. He was stunned when Lucinda returned in time to save Mac with an alive Nathan. Once Mac was free, Dane was thrilled when Mac said he wanted a relationship with him. He then asked Lucinda if she had more secrets and she said no.

SEASON EIGHT: Dane was thrilled for Lucinda when Mac and Nathan started to get along. Dane, then, proposed to Lucinda and she accepted! Dane encouraged Lucinda to file for divorce from Mortimer, even though she had fears about Nathan taking over as his primary medical care giver. Still, Dane was thrilled when Lucinda agreed to the divorce. He hired Chase to file the paperwork and they started to plan their big day. After Nathan and Sabine's wedding disaster, Lucinda told Dane that she didn't want that to happen to their wedding and he vowed that nothing would stop them from marrying. He had no idea that Lydia had uncovered that he was Dyhannah's biological father.

CHRISTMAS - JINGLE BELL ROCK: Dane and Lucinda learned from Chase that her divorce from Mortimer was finalized. Dane and Lucinda realized that they could start planning their wedding, even though she told him she wanted to wait until after Christmas. Dane and Lucinda were then upset to learn that Nathan hired Dyhannah at Rockwell Mining. They had words with Dyhannah. On Christmas, Lucinda was put off to learn that someone made a change to Mortimer's will and they realized it was Nathan. Nathan and Lydia, then, announced that they got married!

SEASON NINE: Dane was put off when Lucinda, suddenly, decided that she didn't want
to get married as quickly as possible. He asked her why, but she just
claimed that the family needed her. Dane, then, supported Lucinda, and
the family, when Mortimer died. Dane was also stunned when Nathan, who
appeared to be losing his mind, admitted to killing Mortimer. Dane
supported Lucinda after Nathan was committed. Dane asked Mac for help
with Lucinda, but Mac told him that he needed to stay out of it. Soon
after, he overheard Casper and Lex talking about how Lydia
investigated Dane's past. He confronted Lucinda, who admitted that she
knew. He demanded to know what Lydia's investigation revealed and if
it was why she changed her mind about marrying him. Lucinda finally
revealed to him that Dyhannah is his biological daughter! Stunned,
Dane ended up going to the jail after Dyhannah was arrested and told
her the truth!

THE DIAMOND THAT STOLE CHRISTMAS: Dane and Dyhannah grew closer after he bailed her out of jail. Lucinda
saw them together and didn't like that Dane wanted to be in his
daughter's life, so she dumped him. Furious, Dane agreed to help
Dyhannah get revenge on the Rockwell's
