"You're pregnant?" a shocked Mac Rockwell looks at Celeste Rockwell
and Cole Rockwell, as his wife just announced to him that she is carrying his
child. He had walked up to Celeste and Cole in what seemed to be a heated moment,
when she revealed that she is with child. He can't believe it because they were
not planning on starting a family right now, not with everything else going on
in their life.
Celeste bites her lower lip before she nods to him. She
didn't want to tell Mac this way but when he saw her with Cole talking, it was
the only thing she could think of to cover up the truth; that she and Cole were
actually talking about their affair. "I wasn't going to say anything right
now because everything that is going on with Stacey," she tells him. "But
Cole knows and that's what we were talking about when you came up to us. He was
telling me that I should be honest."
"I always think honestly
is the best policy," Cole whispers to them as he looks into Celeste's eyes,
knowing he wishes that he could learn for sure if he was the father of Celeste's
baby or not. "I'll leave you too alone to celebrate the moment. I'll go find
Dr. Chen for an update on Stacey."
Celeste watches as Cole walks
away before she returns her focus to Mac. "I'm sorry I didn't tell you about
the baby as soon as I found out, it's just with everything that is happening here
"
"There's no need to explain," Mac tells her as he puts his hands
on her shoulders and looks into her eyes. "I can't tell you how happy this
has made me."
"Really?" she asks him. "I was concerned
with how you would react. You've already raised three children."
"And now, I'm about to have another one," he continues to smile. "I
love you, Celeste and you're giving me the greatest gift of all."
She smiles and kisses him on the lips. "I love you Mac," she says as
their lips part, hoping that he still isn't questioning her conversation with
Cole anymore.
"Mac, there are you," Lydia Rockwell announces
as she comes up to her ex-husband and his new wife. "Cole and I were just
about to get an update on Stacey from Dr. Chen. Would you care to be with us?"
"Of course," Mac turns and looks at his ex. "I was just greeting
Celeste, she just arrived today."
"Oh goody!" Lydia fakes
a smile on her face, since she is less than thrilled that Mac's new wife has appeared.
"And, you should know," Mac tells her, looking at her with a sly
grin. "That my wife is pregnant. She's going to have my baby."
Lydia's face drops by the news that Celeste is carrying a child. For the longest
time, Lydia loved the fact that she was the mother of Mac's children. Now, she
will have to share that title with someone else. And, Celeste, no less, a woman
she can barely stomach.
"I suppose congratulations are in order,"
Lydia manages to say. "But really Celeste, you choose now, when our daughter
may die, to reveal your pregnant? Have you no class at all?"
"Don't
answer her," Mac warns Celeste. "She's not worth your energy."
"No, she's not," Celeste spits back to Lydia. "And, she never
will be. Let's go see Dr. Chen, shall we? Let's find out when Stacey will wake
up."
***
Lex Rockwell opens
the door to his sister's, Stacey Rockwell, hospital room and sees her laying in
her hospital bed. He knows that his sister still has not awoke since she came
out of her brain surgery. The doctors have told the family that they do not know
when she will come out of her coma; or if she will. Lex just prays that Stacey
continues to fight and will wake up.
Lex moves to the chair next to Stacey's
bed and sits down. He watches his sister for a moment, wishing that she would
open her eyes.
"You know what I keep thinking about Stace?"
he whispers to her. "That breakfast you organized for you, me and Cole. You
were so happy, so full of life and you told us that you wanted us to stick together,
no matter what," he continues to tell her as he wipes his eye dry. "And
now, you have to do your part. You have to pull through this, because if you don't,
you're not keeping your end of the bargain. If you don't pull through, that's
not fair. I don't know how to do this without you."
Lex looks at
his sister again and realizes that there is no change with her. He was hoping
that the scene would play out like a movie, where Stacey suddenly awoke by his
suggestion. He shakes his head, realizing that it was silly of him to think so.
"Come on Stace," he whispers to her. "Fight! Don't give up
on life. Wake up for me; wake up for the family; we all love you and we all need
you."
***
"So, basically,
there is no change in my daughter?" Lydia asks Dr. Chen, as she stands with
Mac, Cole and Celeste, having just heard the doctor say that Stacey's condition
has not changed since the previous night. Lydia, while trying to stay calm, is
losing her patience with this doctor.
"That's not a bad thing, Mrs.
Rockwell," Dr. Chen replies to her. "We expected Stacey to be in a coma
for a while. The good news is that her brain is not collecting fluid anymore.
Once she's had time to heal, the swelling should go down. Then, maybe, she could
wake up."
"It sounds like things are going well then?"
Celeste asks him, as Lydia rolls her eyes.
"Thank you Dr. Chen,"
Mac tells him as they shake hands. "Please keep us updated with any changes,
any changes at all."
"Of course, I will," Dr. Chen replies
before he walks away.
"I wish you'd be more positive with the doctor,"
Mac tells Lydia, once Dr. Chen is out of ear sight. "She's not getting worse,
for crying out loud!"
"And she's not getting better!"
Lydia snaps back to him. "I have to get to the office, but I wanted to let
you know something first."
Mac arches his eyebrow. "You don't
mean Rockwell Mining, do you?"
"Of course I do," she purses
her lips together. "Dr. Chen knows to let me know if there's any changes
at all with Stacey."
"I'm not going to fight with you over
Rockwell Mining," Mac quickly replies to her. "Not now, not with everything
else going on."
"What was it that you wanted to let us know?"
Celeste asks Lydia.
"I know why Stacey was driving with Houston
Blackmore when the car crashed," Lydia reveals to them. "It turns out,
they were engaged."
"What?" Mac asks shocked. "How
is that possible? How did we not know this?"
"I don't know,"
Lydia waves her hand in the air. "But Houston left Stacey, his fiancé,
his shares in Blackmore Ltd. I only learned this morning at Houston's will reading.
Kent and Vivian were rather surprised too."
"That must have
been what Stacey wanted to announce at the meeting?" Celeste puts her hand
on Mac's back, knowing that Stacey wanted to announce something at the same meeting
that Lydia took over Rockwell Mining.
"You're right," Mac covers
his mouth, looking at his wife. "She's going to be devastated when she wakes
up and learns that Houston is dead."
"And we will be there
for her when that happens," Lydia replies to him. "But now, I really
must get to work. My company needs me," she winks at Mac, who turns and fumes
at Celeste, still livid that Lydia has taken over his company.
***
Lydia opens the door to Mac's office at Rockwell Mining and triumphantly
walks inside, thrilled that she is walking in as CEO for the first time. It is
a day that she has dreamt about for a very long time and she plans on relishing
it. The fact that she got the shares to take over Rockwell Mining is something
she is very proud of.
She sets her purse down on the desk before she
walks over to the bar and pours herself a brandy. As she takes the first sip,
she turns and sees Lex standing at the doorway of the office.
"A
bit early to be drinking, isn't it?" he asks his mother as he moves inside
the office.
"After everything that has happened with your sister,
I felt like I could use a drink," she replies to him. "I know that we
should be at the hospital, but we still have a company to run. Dr. Chen told me
he would call me if there are any changes with her."
"Yes,
he advised me of the same," Lex nods back to her. "Can we finish our
discussion that we were having at the hospital now? You know, about how I have
no memory of signing any proxy over to you? This seems as good of time as any."
"No," Lydia stops him by putting her hand up. "Darling, what
happened has happened. There's no point in dwelling on it."
"Like
hell there isn't! I want to know how this happened!"
"I want
to discuss this Russia mine deal," Lydia ignores him as she moves to the
desk. "I was briefly looking at the file and I see that Mac offered Marat
Kafelnikov 5% of the profits from the diamonds that are mined from him. Is that
true?"
"Yes," Lex advises her. "That's how we ensured
we got that deal. We couldn't afford to lose another mine, like we did in Serbia.
So, we had to think outside the box. And, you know what? It worked."
"I see," Lydia nods back to him before she takes another sip of
her brandy. "Well, that will end. There's a claus in the contract that we
can alter it at any time. I will be advising Kafelnikov that we will be revoking
the 5%."
"You can't do that," Lex protests to her. "He
will leave Rockwell Mining at his earliest opportunity then!"
"Not
if we impress him with our work ethic," Lydia tells him. "We do not
have to give him anymore profits than we already have offered him with our bid.
He will have to accept that. We need that capital to expand other departments
of Rockwell Mining."
"You're purposely trying to ruin Rockwell
Mining, aren't you?" Lex asks her, still in disbelief by what Lydia is proposing.
After all the hard work he and Mac did on this deal, Lydia is throwing it away
on her first day as CEO.
"I'm doing no such thing," she tells
him as she looks her son in the eye. "But I am the CEO of this company, and
I will make all the final decisions, so you better get used to this, Lexington."
***
"Thank you for seeing me again
today," Vivian Blackmore announces to Kent Blackmore as she comes into the
penthouse that Kent shares with Lydia. "After the reading of the will, I
needed somewhere to go and I didn't feel like going home."
"That's
understandable," Kent tells her as he pours her a cup of coffee. "You
spent a lot of time with Houston at the mansion. There are a lot of memories there."
"Too many memories," Vivian accepts the cup of coffee from him.
"I don't know how to go on from this. Our son is gone forever. It still seems
surreal. I keep thinking I'll wake up and this would have been a horrible nightmare."
"I know," Kent agrees with her. "I know we haven't seen eye
to eye for awhile now, Vivian, but we should be civil. We are the two that lost
a child here. No one else; we are the only ones who know what one another are
going through."
"Tell that to Lydia," Vivian tells him,
her voice filled with hatred. "She's walking around like the victim right
now."
"To be fair, Stacey isn't out of the woods yet,"
Kent reminds her of Stacey's condition. He doesn't want to take sides in this
mess.
"I still can't believe that Houston was engaged to Stacey
Rockwell. How the hell did he meet her anyways?"
"I think I
know the answer to that," Kent replies to her quickly. "See, recently
Stacey went to work at the Kelsey Lake mine in the cafeteria. I am assuming that
is how they met."
"Ah yes," Vivian says back to him. "Houston
wanted to work his way up the latter but by starting at the bottom. He didn't
want any handouts not from you or anyone."
"That was our son."
"Something is really bothering me," she admits to her ex-husband.
"That Lydia is now in control of his shares at Blackmore Ltd. A Rockwell
has far too much control at Blackmore these days!"
"She's my
fiancé," Kent reminds her. "Or she is about to be."
"You're not still seriously thinking of proposing to that woman?"
"Of course I am. Why would you think any differently?"
"Are you out of your mind?" Vivian asks him shocked by his admission.
"That woman is part of the reason our son is dead! The Rockwell's are poison!
Promise me Kent, promise me you won't marry Lydia!"
"I love
her, Vivian," Kent tells her. "And after everything we have been through,
some good news would is exactly what we all need right now; this engagement, is
just that."
"I won't support you on this Kent," Vivian
informs him. "Not now, not ever. You can't marry that woman! You just can't!
I won't allow it. "

"So,
basically you're telling me that Lydia has every legal right to be in my office
right now?" Mac asks his lawyer, whom came to the hospital to see him while
he waits to hear for an update on Stacey. Mac, after seeing Lydia, knew that she
was going to Rockwell Mining and he needed to know if he could do anything legally
to get his company back. He will not stand for the fact that Lydia is running
his company. He will do anything to get his company back. The first logical step
was to talk to his lawyer.
Winston Marshall looks back at his long-time
client and shakes his head no. "Unfortunately, the proxy's that Lydia has
obtained, are legal Mac," Winston informs him. "The good news is that
all three signed proxy's indicate that they are only good for a year."
"I can't wait a damn year to get Rockwell Mining back, Winston! She
could ruin everything by then," Mac grits his teeth back to his lawyer. "I'm
sorry, I don't mean to take this out on you."
"I know, it's
fine," Winston tells him. "I must admit, I am surprised that Lex signed
his proxy over to his mother. Cole and Stacey, I can see them being convinced
by Lydia, but not Lex. That one surprises me."
"My son has
no memory of signing his proxy," Mac reveals to him. "Maybe that is
the key. If I can figure out how Lydia got him to sign over that proxy, I can
stop her before it is too late."
"If I can help with anything
further, you know how to reach me," Winston tells Mac as they shake hands.
"Thank you for everything, Winston."
Mac watches his lawyer
leave the waiting room and Lex comes into the waiting room.
"Dad,
any news on Stacey?" Lex asks him as he comes up to Mac.
"No
change," Mac replies to him. "Why aren't you at the office? I need you
to watch Lydia like a hawk and make sure she isn't doing any damage to Rockwell
Mining."
"She went on a lunch date with Kent Blackmore,"
Lex replies to him quickly. "And, frankly, after what I saw this morning,
under her leadership, Rockwell Mining will be in trouble, big trouble."
"Why? What has she done?"
"She is revoking Kafelinkov's
5%," Lex reveals to Mac.
"What?" he gasps, in horror.
"Is she out of her mind? That is how we landed that deal! He will bolt as
soon as the contract expires if she does that!"
"I tried to
tell her that," Lex informs him. "But you know Lydia, the power has
gone straight to her head."
"Which is why it is so damn important
that I get my company back, and soon," Mac looks back at Lex with worry all
over his face, as he realizes the longer Lydia is in power, the damage will be
done.
***
"I am glad that
you could escape your first day at the office to have lunch with me," Kent
smiles over to Lydia as they sit on the patio of the country club. He had been
looking forward to seeing her all morning.
"After everything we
have been through, I've learned that we can't take life for granted," she
tells him as she picks up her glass of wine and toasts him. "To making every
moment count?"
"To making every moment count," he replies
to her as they toast.
"How are you today? I know Houston must still
be on your mind a lot," she says back to him before she takes another sip
of her wine.
"He always is," Kent admits to her. "But
like you said, I've learned to make every moment mean something. Life is too short
to waste over simple little things."
"I couldn't agree more,"
she smiles back to him. "You know that you can lean on me when things get
tough for you, right? I know not every day will be an easy day. Grieving takes
time."
"I know and that's why I love you Lydia," he tells
her. "And that's why, I think it's time we make it official."
Lydia arches her eyebrow back to him. "What do you mean make it official?
Make what official?"
Kent pulls out a little black ring box from
his pocket and passes it over to Lydia. "Open it," he whispers to her
as he eyes light up.
She opens the box and sees a large, diamond ring.
"It is a Blackmore Ltd original," he ginrs to her. "Marry me, Lydia.
Be with me until the day I die as my wife."
Lydia looks back to
him with a smile on her face. "You know, the best part about this proposal
is that it is coming at a time when we've had so much sadness in our lives,"
she tells him. "You've picked the perfect time to ask me to be your wife
because now we can celebrate life again. Yes, of course I'll marry you Kent. It
would be my honour."
Kent leans forward and kisses her on the lips.
As soon as they part, he slides the large diamond on her finger. "It's beautiful,"
she gasps at the sight of the ring.
"Not nearly as beautiful as
you," he winks back to her, thrilled that they have some good news in their
lives now.
***
Lex opens the door
to Mac's office and scurries inside, noticing that Lydia hasn't returned from
her lunch yet. He moves back to the desk and wonders how he could possibly save
the Russia deal now that Lydia wants to revoke the 5% profits that Mac promised
them. He starts looking over some files that are on the desk, hoping to see if
Lydia has made any other decisions without his knowledge.
"Knock,
knock," Jarek Williams appears at the doorway. "Is this a bad time?"
"Not at all, come in," Lex smiles to his lover as he stands up
from the desk and moves up to Jarek and gives him a kiss on the lips. "I'm
glad I get to see you today."
"Yea, me too," Jarek tells
him as their lips part. "You wanna come over tonight?"
Lex
chuckles back to him. "You know I do," he winks back to him. "I
don't know how late I'll be though, things are getting interesting around here
with my Mom as the CEO."
"I can only imagine," Jarek replies
to him. "Just shoot me a text, I'll be up, waiting for you. Is there any
update on Stacey?"
Lex shakes his head no. "I wish there was,"
he tells Jarek. "But the doctors are saying she's getting better, so that's
the good news. We are all hoping that she will come out of the coma soon."
"You know I'm praying for her, right?"
"I do, thank
you," Lex replies to him. "So, what brings you by? Other than asking
me about tonight."
"I'm glad you asked," Jarek tells him
as he pours a brandy. "The last time I was in the office, you were going
to tell your family that you are gay and that you're in a relationship with me.
Then all hell broke loose and you never got the chance. I'm just wondering
"
"When I'm going to make my announcement?" Lex finishes his sentence
as Jarek takes a drink of his brandy and then nods back to Lex. "I know you
want me to do it soon, Jarek and so do I. It's just
between Lydia taking
over Rockwell Mining and Stacey being in a coma, I don't really want to put any
additional stress on my family."
"So that means, when?"
Jarek asks him, frustrated by Lex's back tracking. More so, the longer Lex waits
to come out, the longer Jarek's plan with his mother, Odette, will take to come
full circle.
"I don't know," Lex admits to him. "You know
I want to do this for you and for us, I just need more time. I'll know when the
time is right. Just bear with me a little bit longer okay?"
"You're
lucky that I love you," Jarek smiles back to him. "Because you're worth
the wait."
"Thanks babe," Lex grins back to him. "I'll
make it up to you later, I promise."
***
Lydia opens the door to the Rockwell mansion and moves inside. She's finished
her lunch with Kent and wanted to check in on Cole to see how he is doing. Moreover,
she recalls how she witnessed a close moment between Cole and Celeste and was
curious about their relationship. Now that she knows that Celeste is pregnant,
she's had a nagging feeling that Cole might be the father of the baby. She just
hopes that she is wrong because the family has been put through enough with Stacey
being in a coma following the car accident.
"Cole, darling, are
you here?" Lydia asks out loud as she moves into the living room, and spots
Cole pouring himself a brandy. "There you are, darling."
"Mom,
would you care for a drink?" he asks her as he starts to pour another brandy
for her.
"Yes, that would be lovely, thank you," she replies
as he passes her a brandy.
"What brings you by? I'm surprised that
you're not at Rockwell Mining or the hospital."
"Dr. Chen has
been advised to call me if there are any changes with Stacey," she informs
him. "And, I just had lunch with Kent. We are engaged, officially."
"Congratulations," he says back to her as he toasts her. "It's
nice to have some good news around here. That being said, I'm not exactly happy
that you used me to get my proxy to take over Rockwell Mining from Dad."
"Let's not dwell on that now," Lydia waves her hand to him. "I'm
here because I learned that Celeste Baldwin is pregnant."
"Word
travels fast," Cole smirks as he takes a drink of his brandy.
"She
moved fast," Lydia quips. "Marrying Mac one day, pregnant the next.
She sure knows how to sink her claws into him."
"That's enough
Mom," Cole warns her. "Celeste is a good woman. She doesn't deserve
that."
"Why are you always defending her?" Lydia asks
him, as Celeste appears at the doorway and listens to the conversation between
mother and son. "What is really going on between you two?"
"What are you suggesting?" Cole asks her. "Celeste and I have gotten
to know one another since she moved in her. I enjoy her company, but nothing is
going on between us."
"I certainly hope not, darling, because
you know this family has been through enough!"
"I get it Mom,"
Cole snaps back at her. "You have nothing to worry about."
"Good," she smiles back to him. "I need to get going. Chat soon,
okay?"
"Of course," he says as he kisses her on the cheek
and Lydia leaves the room.
Once Cole is alone, Celeste emerges into the
living room. "Thank you," she says as Cole turns around to face her.
"You heard?" he asks her.
"I did," she replies
to him quickly. "Thank you for defending me to your mother."
"I meant every word I said," he tells her with a smile on his face.
He grabs her hand. "We have grown closer and I won't let anything bad happen
to you."
"I appreciate that," she smiles back to him,
unable to stop looking into his eyes.
***
Mac moves up to the bar at the country club and sits down. He decided to
give himself a break from the hospital, so he went to the country club to have
a quick lunch. After all, the food at the hospital is not exactly the quality
that he is accustomed too.
"I'll have a scotch and the club chicken
on rye, hold the mayo," he tells the bartender.
The scotch comes
quickly and Mac quickly has a drink of it. The burn going down his throat feels
good, after everything he has been through the last few days, he needed a drink.
The only good news in his life right now is that Celeste is pregnant with his
baby; he knows that he will have to do something nice for her as a result. He's
just too overwhelmed with everything else happening in his life.
"Well,
isn't this a surprise," Odette Williams smiles to Mac as she comes up and
sits next to him at the bar. "We meet at this place yet again."
"So it seems," he replies to her as he takes another sip of his
scotch. "Looks like you're in better shape than the last time we met too."
"That's the truth," Odette nods back to him, recalling how Mac
helped her back to her seat after she had drank too much champagne when she was
with Jarek a few days earlier. "I haven't been drinking today."
"Would you care for one? I can buy you a drink, if you'd like."
"That's sweet of you," she purses her lips together. "I'll
have a gin and tonic, please," she tells the bartender. "It's not often
a handsome man buys me a drink."
Mac chuckles back to her. "I
suppose you and I are in the same boat," he replies to her. "Because
the only woman I usually buy a drink for is my wife."
"Ah,
you're married," Odette takes a sip of her gin. "It figures, all the
good ones are usually taken."
"You flatter me," Mac winks
back to her.
"How about a toast to that?" she suggests to him.
"To flattering you," she raises her glass as he toasts her and they
each take a sip of their drink, before looking back into his hazel eyes.
***
Cole opens the door to Stacey's hospital
room and moves inside. After sharing yet another close moment with Celeste at
home, he knew he had to talk to someone about what is going on inside his head.
He and Stacey have always been close, so she was the logical place to come too.
"Hey Stace," he says as he sits next to her bed. "It's me,
Cole. I hope you can hear me and I hope that you're fighting to come back to us.
I miss hearing you laugh and your bad jokes," he smiles at her before he
grabs her hand and squeezes it.
"If I am honest, I'm going through
a real rough time right now," he admits to her as he runs his hand over his
face. "See, Celeste is pregnant. I know, I should be thrilled, right? Dad's
having another baby. Only, I'm worried that I could be the father. I know what
you would say to me right now, 'Oh my God, Cole, how could you?' and I get it,
I really do. It only happened once, Stace, but honestly, it was the best night
of my life. I know that I shouldn't have these feelings for Dad's wife, but I
can't help myself. I just
I don't want this family to go through any more
pain," he says as he tries not to choke on his words. "I just need to
know if I'm the father of that baby. And, I need to try to get a hold of my feelings
for Celeste. Oh, Stacey, you have to wake up. I need my sister," he tells
her.
The door to the hospital room slowly closes, and Lucinda Rockwell
leans herself up against the wall, trying to take a deep breath from everything
that she just overheard Cole reveal to his sister. She has suspected something
was going on with Cole, but this is more than she anticipated.
"What
have you gotten yourself into Cole?" she asks herself in a whisper, wondering
what she can do to save her family from more heartache.
***
Lydia slowly walks through the cemetery, heading towards Houston's fresh
gravesite. She had tried calling Kent after her meeting with Cole and his assistant
revealed that he was at the cemetery visiting Houston's grave. She only hopes
that Kent is managing better than before; she knows he is going through hell right
now because of Houston's death.
She sees Kent bent over at the tombstone
and wonders if she should approach him or give him a moment to himself. He stands
up and sees her, so she continues to walk towards him.
"Do you want
to be alone?" she asks him as she arrives at the gravesite.
"No,"
he replies to her. "I like being with people right now. I just felt this
urgency to be here for some reason."
"You miss your son, there's
nothing wrong with that," she tells him. "It's only natural that you
miss him."
"I miss him more than I thought possible,"
Kent reveals to her as he gets a tear in his eye. "You know how we were talking
at lunch that life is short and precious?"
"I remember it very
well."
"It has me thinking," he continues to tell her.
"About Lexington."
Lydia feels her face go pale; she knows
that she switched that paternity test years ago to show that Mac is Lex's father
but the truth is, Kent is the father of her youngest son. The fact that Kent is
now mentioning this has Lydia scared to her very core.
"What about
him?" she bites her lower lip, already dreading the answer.
"I've
just lost a son," Kent tells her. "I could have my other son in my life,"
he sighs heavily, knowing the repercussions of what is saying. "Maybe it's
time, maybe it's time the truth come out, Lydia. I could have a son in my life
again."
Lydia looks at him and doesn't know what to say back to
him. She grabs his hand and hugs him as a tear falls down his cheek and her mind
racing about what she is going to do.
***
"I'm glad I found you," Lex announces to Mac as he moves into the
waiting room at the hospital. He has to see his father because he has to know
how he should be handling Lydia at Rockwell Mining with her cutting Kafelnikov
out of his 5% of the profits from the Russian mine. He needs his Dad's guidance
right now because he wants to do as much damage control as possible. "We
need to talk."
"Yes, we do," Mac agrees with him, fresh
from the country club from his lunch. "I still need you to be my eyes and
ears at Rockwell Mining until I figure out how I can get my company back."
"That won't be a problem," Lex replies to him. "I'm still
trying to think of a way to make Lydia realize that she can't pull out of the
5% with the Russian's."
"That will be a nightmare if she goes
through with that," Mac tells his son.
"If only I could remember
signing that damn proxy," Lex replies quickly. "I have a hunch though."
"What is that?"
"I think Lydia drugged me,"
Lex reveals as Mac's eyes open wider in surprise. "Think about it, Dad. The
day of Celeste's pool party, I blacked out and don't remember the end of the party.
We've been thinking I had too much sun, but that never made much sense."
"So you think your mother slipped something into your drink and she

"Yes, we will. Nothing will ever tear us a part, and
