Cole
Rockwell turns his back from the guests as his father, Mac Rockwell, just revealed
that he is engaged to Celeste Baldwin and tries to calm his racing heart rate.
Since he has been back in Kelsey Lake, Cole has had numerous encounters with Celeste,
including sharing a passionate kiss as he was actually developing feelings for
her. She continued to tell him that she was involved with someone, but Cole never
imagined that the man Celeste was seeing was his father. And, not only are they
seeing each other, but they are now engaged to be married. He has no idea how
this could have happened; how did he not know she was engaged to his father?
He quickly finishes his gin and tonic and then leaves the room, unable to
handle any sort of congratulations to his father right now. He needs time to wrap
his head around this.
"Let me be the first to congratulate you,"
Lucinda Rockwell comes up to her son and hugs him.
"Thank you mother,"
Mac whispers back into hear ear before they exit their embrace.
Lucinda
moves over to Celeste, who keeps the smile on her face even though she's scared
of what Lucinda has to say to her. She knows that Lucinda has a reputation of
being very protective of her family.
"Welcome to the family, dear,"
Lucinda tells Celeste, surprising the younger woman. "I hope you will let
me know if I can do anything to make this transition easier for you."
Celeste awkwardly nods back to her. "Thank you Mrs. Rockwell,"
she manages to say back to her, still in shock.
"Please, call me
Lucinda," she purses her lips together. "And, I'm being nice. But, if
you hurt my son, that will quickly disappear."
***
"Cole, why did you leave the party without congratulating Dad?"
Lex Rockwell asks his brother, as he steps out of the den and sees Cole sitting
on the large staircase that leads to the second level of the mansion. Lex can't
help but wonder why Cole would leave the party right after the announcement, but
he is determined to find out. If there is something that Lex can use against Cole,
he wants to know what it is.
Cole looks back at his brother and then
takes a swig of the scotch he has poured for himself. "I'll send him my well
wishes once the crowd has died down. I'm sure everyone in that room wants to talk
to Dad and Celeste right now. If you don't mind, I would like to be alone."
Lex arches his eyebrow, wondering if he should believe anything that Cole
is saying. "You know how Dad is," Lex replies to him. "His family
comes first. You should have been first in that line to send him congratulations."
"And why the hell are you not in there giving him your well wishes,
brother?" Cole asks him as he stands up and moves closer to Lex. "Ever
since I got back, all you've done is come for me. What is that you want from me,
Lexington?"
Lex shakes his head as a smirk comes across his face.
"I don't want a damned thing from you. I just wish you'd get your head out
of our own ass and realize that there are more people in this family then just
you."
"Don't you think I know that?" Cole snaps back at
him as he comes closer to Lex.
"Careful brother," Lex warns
him. "Don't come any closer, or people may start believing you can't handle
your alcohol the same way you couldn't handle your cocaine."
"Shut
the fuck up," Cole barks back at him.
"Temper, temper,"
Lex continues to goat him. "I'm heading back into the party. I suggest you
go and get some air to try to sober up before you see Dad. Don't ruin this moment
for him with more of your antics, okay?"
***
Inside the den, the congratulations line has finally calmed down enough for
Mac and Celeste to move and grab another glass of champagne, which they both want
desperately.
"I've never been introduced to so many people before
who just met me but are happy that I'm engaged to you," she tells Mac as
she takes a sip of her champagne, as she chuckles a little.
"You
look radiant tonight," Mac replies to her. "That dress is amazing. Do
you know how lucky I am?"
"Almost as lucky as I am," she
says back to Mac as she smiles to him, before they share a tender kiss.
"I certainly hope you feel that way in a year or two," Lydia Rockwell
comes up to the newly engaged duo, having ignored the lineup of congratulations
to them. "If your engagement and marriage is anything like mine was to Mac,
you'll need all the luck you can get."
"The difference between
you and Celeste," Mac snaps back to her. "Is that Celeste has class.
She would never turn to another man like you did with Kent Blackmore."
"I'm very happy with Mac," Celeste tells Lydia, secretly scared
that someone will find out about her and Cole sharing a kiss. "And believe
me, Lydia, our marriage will be nothing like yours. Now, if you'll excuse us."
Lydia arches her eyebrow as the couple walks away from her. "You handled
that very well," Mac tells his fiancé.
"I've handled
women like her before," Celeste smiles to her. "She won't bother me."
"Good," Mac nods to her. "Now, the only person I haven't seen
yet is Cole, my eldest son."
Celeste freezes in her tracks. "Your
son's name is Cole?"
"Yes, why? I'm sure I've mentioned him
to you before?"
Celeste shakes her head. "No, I don't believe
you have. It's just
a very nice name, that's all," she gulps, thinking
it must be a conscience. "I think I'm going to get some air, will you excuse
me?"
"Of course," He tells her as he kisses her cheek.
"And while you're gone, I'll find Cole."
***
"I
haven't seen Cole," Lucinda tells Lex and Stacey as she looks through the
hall trying to see her eldest grandson. "Have either of you seen him?"
Lex
bites his tongue about seeing Cole leave the party. He doesn't want to get Lucinda
upset, and he knows that she would be if he told her about Cole.
"I
just can't believe Daddy is engaged to someone so much younger than he is,"
Stacey ignores Lucinda's worry for Cole. "I mean, Celeste looks like she's
my age. Cole's for sure!"
"She
is beautiful," Lex observes back to his sister.
"Is
that all you men think about?" she asks him, clearly not realizing that Lex
is gay. "I mean, yes, she's beautiful, but that won't last forever!"
"There's
no need to get so worked up, dear," Lucinda tells her granddaughter. "If
Mac loves Celeste and she loves him, who are we to judge if they should be together
or not?"
"I
think I need another glass of champagne," Stacey says before she excuses
herself and scurries off to find another waiter.
***
In the garden, Celeste tries to calm her quickly increased heart rate. How
could she not have known that Mac has a son named Cole? She shakes her head as
she tries to tell herself that Mac's son couldn't be the same Cole that she has
had run-in's with the last few weeks.
"They can't be the same person,"
she whispers to herself as she comes up to the pool and sees someone sitting on
a lounger. She almost feels faint when she realizes that it's Cole.
Cole
looks up and sees Celeste walking towards him, so he stands up and puts his hands
in his pockets. "I guess congratulations are in order?"
"I
can't believe this is happening," she whispers back to him. How did this
happen? I told you I was seeing someone!"
"You didn't tell
me it was my father," he whispers back to her. "Or was that your plan
all along?"
"Plan? You think I planned this?" she asks,
trying not to raise her voice. "I never knew your last name, and Mac, he
never mentioned you to me."
"Isn't that rich," Cole spits.
"I guess he was ashamed that I was away in rehab while he was wooing you.
Not that I can blame him, you're a beautiful woman."
"Cole,
you have to stop this," she tells him, looking around to make sure no one
is seeing them speak. "Yes, we shared a kiss and some nice times together,
but I'm engaged to your father. Whatever we had, it can't go on."
Cole nods back to her as he moves closer to her. He finds himself leaning and
kissing her on the cheek. "Congratulations on the engagement, Celeste. I
mean that."
She quickly wipes a tear that strolls down her cheek
as he walks away from her, knowing he needs space. She tries to collect herself
before she turns back and slowly walks back to the large mansion, hoping that
no one can see that she's upset.
***
Celeste opens the door to the master bedroom and rushes inside, with Mac
closely following her. The party has ended and the two are dying to get out of
their fancy clothes and into something more comfortable.
She throws her
heels off and sits on the bed. "This bed feels so good right now," she
tells her fiancé. "I had fun tonight, but it's been a long night."
"Are you tired?" he asks her as he comes up and sits next to her,
after he undoes a couple of buttons of his white shirt.
"Exhausted,"
she admits to him. "But I'm so glad the party was a success."
He leans in and kisses her passionately. "I knew that my friends, business
associates and family would love you," he whispers to her. "The same
way I do."
"I love you too," she whispers back to him.
"I have a present for you," he reveals to her as he stands up and
moves over to his large dresser. He opens the top drawer and pulls out a box before
walking back to the bed. "This is yours."
"What is this?"
she asks as she opens the box and gasps a little. "Oh, Mac, this is beautiful,"
she says as she looks at the matching diamond earring and necklace set. She's
never seen diamonds so big before in her entire life.
"It is a little
something," he tells her. "To show you how much I love you."
"Oh Mac," she says standing up and wrapping her arms around him
to kiss him.
"I thought you were tired," he smiles back to
her as they exit their embrace.
"I'm never too tired to show you
how much I love you," she purrs to him as she falls back into the bed. "Get
over here and make love to me."
***
In the morning, the dining room table is rather empty for breakfast as Celeste
is still sleeping from the late night, Cole and Lex have already went into the
office, so it leaves just Mac and Stacey Rockwell at the table eating
"Did you have fun at the party last night?" Mac asks his daughter before
he takes a bite of his toast.
Stacey nods back to him. "Yea,"
she says before she takes a sip of her orange juice.
"Yea? That's
all you have to say?" he chuckles, "Usually you can't stop going on
about the parties you attend."
"The party was fine, Daddy.
What else do you want me to say?" she snaps at him, not realizing her tone.
"Okay, now I know something is wrong," he replies to her quickly.
"What's going on with you Stacey?"
Stacey sighs heavily and
looks back at her father. "You know I wasn't happy that you and Mom got a
divorce, Daddy," she tells him. "So, I'm sorry if this engagement isn't
the best news for me. Especially because it's to Celeste Baldwin!"
"What's wrong with Celeste? She's a lovely young woman," Mac tells his
daughter.
"Yes, she is a young woman, she's just a few years older
than I am! She's Cole's age, for crying out loud!"
"So, you
are concerned about the age of my fiancé?" Mac asks her in surprise.
"Love comes in many different ways and forms, Stacey. I didn't purposely
set out to find a younger woman. But what I feel for Celeste is very real and
I will marry her."
"And she'll marry you and your millions!"
Stacey snaps at him. "I'm sorry Daddy, I shouldn't have said anything, but
I can't lie to you. I don't know if Celeste loves you or everything that comes
attached to you!"
"That's enough Stacey Rockwell!" Mac
yells at her. "As long as you live under my roof, you will learn to respect
Celeste, do you understand me?"
Stacey nods back to him. "I
will try Daddy, I'm only telling you this because I love you."
"I
know you do," he tells her as he comes up to her and hugs her. "But
so does Celeste. Once you get to know her better, you'll see that."
***
Cole opens the door to Mac's office
at the Rockwell Mining building and immediately rolls his eyes as he sees Lex
sitting behind Mac's desk. He knows that his brother hasn't been his biggest supporter
since he came back and he wishes he understood why.
"Morning,"
Cole announces to Lex, causing Lex to look up at him.
"Morning,
how are you feeling this morning?" Lex asks him as he stands up and pours
himself a cup of coffee.
"I'm fine, why do you ask?"
"Because you had a lot to drink last night at the party," Lex notes
to him. "But if you say you're okay, I believe you."
"Thank
you for that," Cole snaps at him. "Because, I don't have a drinking
problem. And it's really shitty that you would even suggest that I do."
"I don't want to have a fight with you this morning," Lex informs
him as he takes a sip of his coffee. "We have to ensure Mac lands this Russia
deal, we have to work together on this. Do you think we can put our differences
aside and do this?"
"Of course," Cole tells him. "What
have you uncovered?"
"Well," Lex begins to tell him. "We
can bid whatever we want, the problem is that Blackmore Ltd can also bid whatever
they want. And, if they outbid Rockwell, then they will get the Russia mine. We
can't let that happen."
"And how do you propose that we ensure
we get the deal?"
"We have to sweeten the deal," Lex tells
him. "We have to give them something more than just cash."
"Are you suggesting that we bribe them into taking our deal?" Cole asks
him, shocked by what Lex is suggesting.
Lex nods back to him. "I
wouldn't call it a bribe, I would call it an extra incentive. I don't see the
problem with this idea, do you?"
Coles shakes his head in disgust.
"I think it's a terrible way to do business! Do you really want Rockwell's
reputation to be that we bribe people to get our deals? I think this is a horrible
idea."
"Fine," Lex crosses his arms as he sits back down
in Mac's chair. "We will ask Dad when he comes and if he's okay with, we
will do it. And if he's not, we'll think of something else."
"Great,"
Cole rolls his eyes back to his brother as he moves to the sofa and sits down.

The Kelsey Lake mine is large because
it's one of the few mines in the United States. There are 3 foremen and the mine
employs about 150 men. The cafeteria is large because it has to fill so many men
at once. Stacey looks around and tries to remind herself why she is at the mine
in the first place.
In her mind, the place is a complete mess. There's
dirt all over the place, because obviously the men come in carrying dirt in from
the mine. The lack of décor and cheap looking furniture, leave a bad taste
in her mouth as well.
"But I'm here because I want people to change
their perception of me," she whispers to herself. "This will be a good
thing."
"Stacey," Janice Young calls out. Janice has been
employed at the mine for years and is one of the most senior staff in the cafeteria.
Everyone seemingly respects her because she knows what she is doing and talking
about. "The men are coming in soon, get in line."
Stacey finds
her position in line at the hot table. The table is long and there are 5 women
that serve the men whatever food they'd like. She's in the centre of the hot table,
and she will be the one to provide potatoes and gravy, if they'd like it.
"Just one scoop, right?" she asks Janice.
"Unless
they specifically ask for two," she tells Stacey.
"Got it,"
Stacey smiles back to her as the men start coming into the cafeteria. Stacey watches
them and is rather appalled by how they look, smell and treat each other. She
starts handing out scoops of potatoes.
"Faster," Janice whispers
to Stacey. "We want the line to move to move as quick as possible."
"Right," Stacey says back to her as she tries to pick up her speed.
She looks up and feels her heart skip a beat at the sight in front of her. A young
man with dark hair and piercing eyes looks back at her.
"One scoop,
no gravy," he says looking back into her eyes.
"A
absolutely,"
she replies to him, her eyes never leaving his face.
"Thanks,"
he tells her before he moves down the aisle.
"Who was that?"
Stacey asks Janice.
"Houston," she replies quickly. "He's
cute, huh?"
Stacey shakes her head, not wanting to reveal that she
thinks a guy is cute on her first day. "He's alright, yea."
"Well,
be careful," Janice warns her. "He's a player. That boy hits on everything
with breasts on her chest," she laughs back to Stacey, who watches Houston
eat his lunch.
"No
need to be careful," Stacey tells her back. "I'm not looking for any
kind of relationship."
***
"What have I walked in on?" Mac asks his sons as he enters his office
and he can feel the tension between Cole and Lex.
Cole stands up from
the sofa and looks at Mac, hoping he sees this his way. "I didn't get to
say congratulations last night," he says coming up to his father and hugging
him. "So, congratulations. I hope you and Celeste are very happy together."
"Thank you Cole," Mac smiles to his son after they exit their embrace.
"That means a lot to me. Where did get to last night?"
"I
was tired and went to bed early," he tells his father, as Lex listens on.
"I'm sorry I didn't stay up later."
"No need to apologize,
we all had a long day," Mac says back to him. "Now, let's move on to
business. What have you two uncovered about the Russia deal? Anything at all?"
"I had an idea," Lex reveals to Mac, who sits at his desk. "But
Cole wasn't on board. So we shelved it until you came in."
"Okay,
interesting," Mac replies to him. "What is this idea?"
"I wanted to add a little something extra into the bid for the mine,"
Lex continues to explain to him. "You know, give the Russian's something
other than just cash because everyone will offer cash."
"He
wants to bribe them," Cole lays it out for Mac. "I didn't like it because
if it ever got out, how would that make Rockwell Mining look?"
"No
one will ever find out," Lex informs Mac. "We can add a stipulation
in the contract. The bottom line is, if we sweeten the deal, we will get the mine.
We can't afford to not get this mine."
"I agree with Lex,"
Mac tells his sons, which upsets Cole greatly. "We have to do whatever it
takes to get this mine. Our company depends on it."
"Great,"
Cole says in frustration over the decision. "To hell with the consequences,
right?"
"We will get the deal now," Lex tells Cole. "You
have to grow thicker skin if you want to play with the big boys, Cole."
"Maybe I don't want to play at all," Cole snaps as he walks out
of the office, leaving Mac and Lex alone.
***
"I was surprised to get a text from you asking to meet me on your lunch
break," Jarek Williams tells Lex as they sit across from each other at the
Grind. "Mostly because you never take a lunch break."
Lex chuckles
back to Jarek, unsure of where they stand right now because he saw his lover with
another man just the other day. "Well, I had to see you and I didn't want
to see you at your place. It needed to be on common territory."
Jarek arches his eyebrow. "That's ominous," he says as he licks his
lips a little. "What do you have to talk to me about that you wanted to be
on 'common ground'?"
"I was here the other day grabbing a coffee,"
Lex begins to reveal to him. "And I saw you, with another guy."
Jarek nods his head back to him. "Ah," he says, not going to apologize
for what happened.
"I know that you were upset with me when I said
that I wasn't ready to move in with you yet, but I didn't realize that meant that
you were going to start seeing other guys. I mean, what's up with that?"
Jarek shakes his head back to him, his mind for some odd reason, thinking
about Odette's comments to him to about making his relationship with Lex work.
He wishes he truly understood where he is coming from.
"I certainly
got your attention, didn't I?" Jarek says with a half a chuckle to him. "Look
Lex, you know that I'm crazy about you. But the fact is, I want more than just
great sex with you. I want to know that the guy I'm with wants to have a future
with me. I know that you're nervous and scared or whatever, but I won't place
my life on hold forever."
"So, you decided to see someone else?"
Lex asks him, trying to keep his cool.
"No, I'm not," Jarek
informs him. "We had a coffee date and nothing happened. I haven't seen him
again since that day."
"Have you texted him? Have you had any
communication with him at all?" Lex continues to ask him, trying to get all
the information he can.
"No Lex, I haven't," Jarek sighs. "And
it's because I care about you. The entire date, I kept thinking about you and
us and what we had. But I need you to understand where I'm coming from."
Lex nods back to him. "I do get it, trust me I do," he says, feeling
relieved. "How about after work, I come over and we can reconnect?"
Jarek smirks back to him. "I'd like that a lot, but we have to talk
about the future at some point."

"I'm so glad you could tear yourself away from work to have lunch with
me," Celeste smiles to Mac as they sit on the patio at the country club.
"I know how busy are you."
"I am never too busy for my
beautiful fiancé," he grins back to her before he takes a drink of
his pinot grigio. "And, now that everyone knows we are engaged, I want to
you move into the mansion with me. You will be my wife soon enough, so you should
be there all the time."
Celeste gulps a little wondering how Cole
would feel about her living in the mansion. If she is honest with herself, she
finds it difficult not thinking about him on a regular basis; living in the same
house as him could be even more trying, even though she knows nothing can happen
since Cole is her fiancé son.
"Are you sure?" she finally
responds to him. "I mean, that is the house that you shared with Lydia."
"I'm positive," he tells her. "That is my house that I share
with my family. Just because I am divorced doesn't make that house someone else's.
And, there's so much room there
"
"58 rooms to be exact."
"Exactly," he nods back to her. "Please, tell me you'll move
in?"
"Of course I will," Celeste tells him. "Your
home will be my home. I can't wait to live with you."
He leans over
and kisses her on the lips. "You're so amazing, I'm a very lucky man."
She pulls him into a hug and tries to get her mind of Mac's son, as she realizes
how much packing she has to do.
***
"Can I take your plate away?" Stacey asks a miner as she walks
around with a large plastic bin, collecting dirty plates from the lunch. The man
nods to her and Stacey reaches over to grab it. This is the part of the job she
dislikes the most so far; cleaning up the dirty dishes is something she'd never
thought she'd have to do so it's taking a while to get used to.
She moves
to the next miner and asks the same question. To her surprise, Houston turns and
passes her his plate. "Thanks for lunch, it was great today," he flashes
his million dollar smile to her, which makes her weak in the knees.
"You're
welcome," she tries to keep her cool with the attractive young man.
"You're new here, aren't you?"
"Yea, first day. Can you
tell?"
"Nah, you were great. You can scoop a good spoon of
potatoes," he teases her, as his eyes remain locked on her.
She
chuckles as she feels her cheeks flush. "Gee, thanks?"
"Seriously,
it's good to see a fresh, pretty face around here. See you tomorrow? Cause, I'd
love to see it again."
"Same time, same place," she winks
back to him. "And thanks, you've really made me feel welcome today."
***
Lydia opens the door to the mansion
and walks into the foyer. She doesn't care that she doesn't live there anymore;
she has always felt like the Rockwell mansion was her home and just because she
is divorced from Mac, doesn't mean that she's changed her way of thinking.
She moves into the study and sees Cole pouring himself a scotch. "Cole,
baby, is everything okay?" she asks him out of concern.
"Yea,
I just wanted to see how you're doing," he tells her as he takes a sip of
his drink. "Can I get you a drink?"
"No," she tells
him as she comes up to him and takes the drink of out his hands. "And, I
don't think you should be drinking either."
"Mom, what are
you doing?" he asks her. "I asked you over because I've been away for
a year and I've missed you. Is that so wrong?"
"Of course not
darling," she turns to look at him. "But, can you understand why I am
concerned? You just got back from a rehabilitation center and now, I find you
drowning your sorrows in alcohol. Oh, Cole, you can't replace one drug with another."
"That's not what I'm doing!" he protests to her, not wanting to
be lectured. "I'm having a drink after work, that's all. I'm fine."
"Are you?" she asks him. "I saw you last night at the engagement
party. You looked like you were hit by a car. What is wrong?"
"Nothing,
absolutely nothing is wrong," he lies to her, which he immediately regrets,
as he knows no one can know of his and Celeste's attraction. "I'm telling
you I'm fine."
She comes up to him and pulls him into a hug. "You
know you can lean on me for anything, right?"
"Of course I
do."
"Good, because I won't let you go down another downward
spiral," she whispers into his ear. "I love you too much to see that
happen to you."
***
Lydia
opens the door to the den and starts to walk to the front door, needing to head
back to her penthouse to meet Kent Blackmore, since she and Cole finished their
discussion. The front door, however, opens and Celeste emerges in the foyer, carrying
a suitcase behind her.
"What are you doing here?" Celeste asks
Lydia, putting her hand on her hip, annoying that Lydia is there.
"How
dare you question me!" Lydia snaps back at her. "Just because you're
engaged to Mac, doesn't mean you get to boss me around. This is my house and it
always will be."
"This is my house now," Celeste tells
her. "And, frankly, if I ask you a question, you better damn well answer
me."
"I was here visiting my son, if you must know," Lydia
snaps back to her. "That's something you outta get used to, Celeste. All
three of my children live in this house and if they need me, I will be here. Do
I make myself clear?"
"Perfectly," Celeste forces a smile
on her face. "But, just so we are clear, this is my house now and you will
answer to me if I ask you a question, is that clear?"
"Okay,
little girl," Lydia smirks back to her. "You can act all tough if you
want, but you have no idea who the hell you are dealing with."
"Just
get out!" Celeste yells at her, as Lydia walks towards the door and is almost
trampled on by some movers.
"Ah,"
Lydia yells out. "Don't you men know how to move for a lady?"
Celeste rolls her eyes at Lydia before she walks towards the stairs that lead
upstairs, her mind wondering about if Lydia was here seeing Lex or Cole, and if
it was Cole, she wonders if he is doing okay.
***
"That woman has a lot of nerve," Lydia announces to Kent as she
opens the door to the penthouse, annoyed by her encounter with Celeste.
"Who, dear?" Kent asks as he looks up from a file that he's reading
at the desk in the corner.
"Celeste Baldwin," Lydia tells him
as she throws her purse on the sofa. "She just told me to basically never
go back to the mansion. Does she know that I lived for 30 years? Does she know
that my children still live there? Who the hell does she think she is? I will
be in that home whenever I damn well please!"
"She is the new
queen bee, Lydia," he reminds her. "If you were in her position, you
would feel the same. Anyways, let's not dwell on that. I'm reviewing this file
for the mine in Russia. I want to outbid Rockwell Mining, just like I did with
the Serbia mine."
"Do you have the capital to bid on another
mine so quickly?" she asks him, as she comes up to him and looks at the file.
"Of course I do," he tells her. "The question is, how much
do I bid this time? I got lucky last time, I hope my luck hasn't run out."
"And, it's not like the good old days where I helped you with your luck,"
she recalls to him, thinking of past times with him.
"I know,"
he nods to her. "But that's for the best, because I'd much rather have you
here with me vs working for Rockwell."
"I know baby,"
she tells him. "Let's try to put a good number together over some wine? What
do you say?"
"I love that idea," he replies to her. "Because
I need that mine. I want to crush Rockwell Mining, even if it's the last thing
I do."
***
Cole comes out
of the study when he hears a loud crash in the foyer. He looks and sees movers
bringing boxes and suitcases into the mansion.
"What's going on?"
he asks one of the movers, confused by the process that is happening.
"We had instructions to move these belongings into the house," the mover
advises him.
"Who advised you of this?" Cole asks confused.
"I did," Celeste announces as she stands on the stair case. "I'm
moving in, Cole. I'm going to be living in the mansion with your father."
"Ah,"
Cole sighs back to her. "Guess with the wedding in the next couple of days,
this was bound to happen."
"I
hope you're okay with this?" she asks him as she purses her lips together.
"What
choice do I have?" he shrugs his shoulders before he turns around and starts
to move back into the living room, already looking for another drink.

Lex sits at Mac's desk in his office
and looks over the file for the mine in Russia. He knows that he has to offer
them something special to ensure that Rockwell Mining wins this bid. The question
is, what can they add to the offer that will make the Russian's accept their deal.
"None of this would be happening if we hadn't lost Kelsey Lake,"
he whispers to himself, recalling how he got Mac to agree to hire a private investigator
to see if they could dig up the truth on how Mac and Rockwell lost the mine all
those years ago.
"I need to get on that," Lex whispers back
to himself. "I need to figure out how we lost the mine."
He
moves back to the desk and picks up the phone. "I need to speak to Larry
Frondall please," he says into the phone. "It's Lex Rockwell, and yes,
it's very important."
