"The
key piece, Cole," Mac Rockwell tells his son, Cole Rockwell, as they stand
in the living room of the Rockwell mansion. "Is that we never say anything,
to anyone, about what happened with Dixie Ryan."
Cole takes a long
sip of his brandy as he listens to his father's words. He recalls how Grant Shaw,
the foreman of the Kelsey Lake mine was in town from New York City because he
was concerned about the whereabouts of his sister, Dixie Ryan. Cole, of course,
knows that he and Dixie were lovers while high on cocaine and then she overdosed
in his bed. In the wake of her death, Mac helped Cole remove the body and he got
clean. They both assumed that this entire mess with Dixie was going to be a thing
of the past, but with Grant back in town wondering where she is, they might have
to deal with it now.
"You're right," he nods back to Mac. "No
one can tie us to Dixie. We are in the clear. We just have to keep our cool around
Grant."
"And, I'm thinking that after a couple of days, everything
will blow over with him and he'll return to New York. He does have work to do,
he won't be able to stay away for too long."
"I hope you're
right Dad," Cole replies to him. "Because, with everything else going
on in my life right now, this is the last thing that I needed to come back and
haunt me."
"I know you're going through a lot because of Celeste's
lies," Mac tells his son. "But this is one problem that will stay buried.
Trust me on that."

Lex
Rockwell opens the door to the office at Rockwell Mining and moves inside quickly.
He has a huge smile on his face as he moves to the bar and pours himself a brandy.
He takes a drink of it before he turns around and recalls hearing Mac and Cole
talk about Dixie's death and how Cole was with her when she died. While he realizes
that Grant will be upset by this news, Lex realizes that he has enough ammunition
to really put Cole in his place now since he knows Cole was with Dixie when she
died. The other details don't really matter. After all, Lex wants to get back
at his older brother for having a sexual encounter with his deceased lover, Brock
Jennings. Having heard what he did, Lex feels like he can now bring his brother
down.
He looks at the door when it opens and Tanner Young walks into
the office. Tanner looks at Lex and smiles over at him; they were supposed to
get together to have sex, but when Lex texted him and told him that he was too
busy, Tanner ended up meeting Grant Shaw and they had sex. Of course, Tanner won't
reveal this to Lex because he and Grant are working together to get a pay day
from Odette Williams, whom is plotting against the Rockwell's.
"I
didn't think you'd be here still, I was going to leave you a note," Tanner
tells his lover as he walks up to Lex and pulls him into a hug. "Did you
accomplish everything that you wanted to get done?"
Lex looks back
at him and then kisses him passionately. When their lips part, Tanner grins back
to him. "What was that for?"
"I figured it out,"
Lex cryptically tells Tanner as he looks into his eyes.
"You're
going to have to explain that to me," Tanner chuckles back to him, secretly
hoping that Lex hasn't figured out that he is working with Grant and Odette. They
have come too far now for their plan to fail. "What, exactly, have you figured
out?"
"Dixie Ryan," Lex looks back at him. "I know
what happened to her, and I can nail my brother to wall with it. He's going down
for this."
***
Tanner walks
quickly into the country club and immediately sees Grant sitting at the bar with
a drink in front of him. Tanner moves up to his lover. "Is now a good time
to talk?" Tanner sits next to him.
Grant
smiles back over to him, still remembering their intense love making session a
few hours earlier. "Of course," Grant winks back to him. "We can
chat here or go back upstairs."
Tanner chuckles back to him. "I
just left Lex," Tanner reveals to him. "He knows what happened to Dixie."
Grant feels the blood drain from his face. "What? Are you serious?"
"I am," Tanner nods back to him. "Look, I'm going to make
this quick because I don't want anyone to see us together. But, there's no easy
way to tell you this."
"Dixie, she's dead, isn't she?"
Grant asks him. Since he has been back in Kelsey Lake, he has this sinking feeling
that Dixie is dead. After all, how many missing persons show up alive and well?
"I'm sorry," Tanner puts his hand on Grant's leg and squeezes it.
"It was Cole Rockwell though. He had something to do with her death."
"What?" Grant gasps back.
"Look, if you want to talk
about it, we can go upstairs. I'll go up now; you come up in 10 minutes?"
Grant slowly nods back to him. "Yea, sure, thanks."
Tanner
stands up and moves to the stairs and walks them. Grant waits a couple of moments
and then is about to leave when Vivian Blackmore walks up to him. "Grant,
are you okay? It looks like you've been punched in the stomach."
"No, Vivian, I'm not okay," Grant replies to her quickly. "I know
what happened to my sister. I know who killed her."
Vivian
gasps back to him in shock. "Killed? Are you sure? Those are strong words,
Grant."
"Yea, they are. But I know it's true. And I'm going
to make the son of a bitch pay for this."
"Who?"
"Cole Rockwell," Grant replies to her quickly as Vivian covers her mouth
in shock.
"Please, don't do anything," Vivian shakes her head.
"I know Cole. I can deal with this. I promise you, I can make sure Cole gets
what he deserves."

"I
was surprised to get your call this late," Sabine Andrews tells Kent Blackmore
as he opens the door to his penthouse and she moves inside. She recalls how they
had a drink together earlier at the country club when she revealed information
to him that she provided Yuri Kafelnikov before he died in the bomb. Sabine now
believes that she and Kent can use the information to help them get Mac and Lydia
back, and away from each other by threatening to take Rockwell Mining away from
Mac if he doesn't agree. She just hopes that Kent is finally ready to use the
information for their plan. "Does this mean that you've made your decision?"
"Can I get you a drink?" Kent asks her as he moves to the bar and
pours two glasses of champagne. "I think what I'm about to tell you is cause
for celebration."
Sabine accepts the champagne and looks back at
Kent with big eyes. "You're spoiling me, Kent."
"Not at
all," he tells her. "You have provided us with the information and the
plan to get our loved ones back, this toast is to you."
"I'll
drink to that," she chuckles before they take a sip of their champagne. "I'm
glad that you're on board. I wasn't sure at first."
"Nor was
I," Kent admits to her. "But, once I knew what you know, I couldn't
help but think the plan is genius."
Sabine takes another sip of
her bubbles. "So, we'll go to Mac tomorrow with this information?"
"Absolutely," he nods back to her. "He won't know what hit
him!"
Sabine laughs with him. "And, that is the best part,"
she says moving closer to him and pulling him into a hug. "Thank you Kent.
Thank you for giving me hope."
"Thank you for giving us this
ammunition," he says as they exit their embrace. They stop and look into
each other's eyes for a moment and leans in and their lips touch for a moment.
"Sorry,"
she quickly pulls back. "I don't know what I was thinking."
"Its fine," Kent waves his hand in the air.
"How are you
feeling?" Sabine asks him, changing the subject manner. "I tried to
see you the other day at the office but you had gone to the hospital, accordingly
to your secretary."
Kent
turns away from her; he didn't want many people to know about his heart condition,
but now he realizes that it is out in the open with so people. "I'm fine,"
he tries to tell her. "I just had a scare."
"Well,
we have to ensure that you're strong enough to handle anything," Sabine replies
to her. "God only knows how Mac will take this news."
"Don't
worry about me," he reassures her. "I'll be fine. I am fine, Sabine."
"Good,
because you will need all of your strength, Kent. Nothing bad can happen to you."

The next morning, Stacey Rockwell
is pouring herself a cup of coffee in the living room of the Rockwell mansion,
thinking about the previous day when her husband, Marat Kafelnikov left Kelsey
Lake for Moscow, because his father died and he is taking over the Kremlin Diamonds
company. She was supposed to go with him, but her ex-fiancé, Houston Blackmore
revealed that Marat had gotten Celeste Baldwin pregnant. Stacey, of course, was
livid and refused to go to Moscow with her husband. Now, she is left wondering
what she is going to do.
"Why does everything always have to be
such a mess?" she asks herself as she takes a sip of her coffee. She turns
around and sees Celeste slowly walking into the living room.
"Good
morning," Celeste manages to say back to her.
"What the hell
are you still doing here?" Stacey asks her; shocked that she is still living
in the mansion. "You have no business being here."
"Everything
happened so quickly, I didn't have time to book a room at the club," Celeste
replies to her. "I can leave today, if you'd like."
Stacey
rolls her eyes back to her. "Yea, you can get the hell out of my family home,"
Stacey spits back to her. "There's no way in hell that any of us will forgive
you for what you've done."
"I'm sorry," Celeste bites
her lower lip. "I don't know what else to say to you or to Cole. I know that
I've caused a lot of pain, but damnit, this baby is still a miracle"
"Oh, Jesus, Celeste," Stacey barks. "You're always so dramatic.
We get it, you're pregnant. The only problem is, you got pregnant with my husband!"
"I don't want to fight with you. What happened was wrong, but it gave
me this baby," she holds her stomach for a moment.
"Then get
the hell away from me," Stacey yells at her. "I never want to see your
disgusting face again!"
Celeste slowly shakes her head back to her
before she moves to the door. She turns and looks back at Stacey. "For whatever
its worth, Marat never loved me. He's only loved you, Stacey. Don't throw away
the best thing that's ever happened to you."
Stacey turns and glares
at her, which causes Celeste to leave the room. Stacey turns around and puts her
hands on the table in the room, trying to control her beating heart rate. "Who
the hell does that bitch think she is?"
"Stacey," a voice
calls out from behind her, causing Stacey to turn around and see Houston standing
in the living room.
"God, what is there a lineup of people who betrayed
me outside waiting to take their turns beating me up?" she asks him, already
feeling deflated from the visit with Celeste.
"You have to know
why I came to see you," he moves closer to her. "I told you what I knew
because I wanted you to stay in Kelsey Lake. I couldn't let you go to Moscow with
Marat knowing what he had done."
"So, you want me to thank
you?"
"I don't know," Houston shrugs back to her. "I
guess I was hoping that you'd see me in a different light now. I was hoping that
this could make up for some of the hurt that was between us."
"My
husband sleeping with Celeste doesn't change the fact that you slept with my mother,
Houston," she quips at him. "Not even close."
"So,
you still don't think there's a chance for us?"
"NO!"
Stacey yells at him. "I don't want anything to do with you or Marat! Now
get out of here! I can't do this today, I just cant'!"
"Stacey
"
"NO, GET OUT!"
"Hey, what the hell is going on in
here?" Tanner asks as he comes into the living room.
"Nothing,
I was just leaving," Houston replies while he keeps looking at a fuming Stacey.
"Good luck, you'll need it."
Tanner watches Houston leave the
room before he turns his attention to Stacey. "Hey, are you okay? Can I help
with anything?"
"No, I'll be fine now that he's gone."
"Are you sure?" Tanner asks her. "Here, let me at least get
you a drink. It looks like you need one."
"Thanks," Stacey
tries to smile back to him. "It's just my life kinda sucks right now."
"Drink this," Tanner passes her a brandy. "It'll make you
feel better. And if it doesn't, have another one until the edge has been lifted.
It works for me."
Stacey takes a sip of it and looks back at Tanner.
"I did need this, thanks Tanner."
***
A
short time later, Stacey is moving down the hallway of the Rockwell mansion heading
towards her bedroom. Tanner provided her with a couple of drinks, so she was going
to lay down and try to sleep off some of the buzz before she headed into Rockwell
Mining. She doesn't know why she started to drink so early in the day, but she
realizes that it might not be the best idea.
She
stops when she hears some voices coming from Lydia's bedroom. She moves closer
to the door and peers inside, seeing Lex sitting next to their mother. She finds
herself pressing the door open and moving inside. "I'm not interrupting,
am I?"
"Oh
Stacey, of course," Lydia looks over at her. "Lex and I were just talking.
You're welcome to join us."
"I
will give you your space," Stacey turns to leave the room.
"Stace,
please don't go," Lex calls out to her. "You and Mom, you can't be mad
at each other for ever. Why don't you stay?"
Stacey
takes a deep breath and turns back around putting a half grin on her face. "If
you insist."
Lex
stands up and feels the room start to spin a little. He puts his hand down on
the bed to cover in front of his mom and sister that he is feeling faint. "Come
sit," he tells her, trying to get himself to focus. He thinks knowing about
Dixie has suddenly caught up with him; maybe he has been overdoing it lately.
Stacey
moves up to the bed and looks at her mother. "How are you feeling?"
"Better
every day," Lydia nods back to her. "How are you? Have you had a drink?
I think I can smell the booze on your breath."
"Just
one," Stacey lies to her. "I just had a rough morning, that's all."
"I
have an idea," Lex tells them, the room still spinning for him. "Why
don't the two of you go to Avondale together to visit Grandma. It will let you
two spend some time together and Lucinda will love the company."
"That
is an excellent idea, Lex!" Lydia beams back to him. "Stacey, what do
you say?"
Stacey
uneasily looks over at Lex and then back at Lydia. "Uh, sure," she nods
back to her. "Just let me go freshen up?"
***
A few hours later, Stacey is sitting in Lucinda Rockwell's room at Avondale
with Lydia Rockwell in her wheelchair next to Lucinda, as per Lex's idea to them.
"I just can't believe this is the state of that Grandmother is in,"
Stacey manages to tell Lydia as she looks at her mother.
Lydia looks
back at her daughter. "I think you did two very brave things today, Stacey.
First, you came to see your Grandmother. I don't want her to think the family
has abandoned her despite her health issues. And secondly, you came here with
me. I know we haven't been on terms, and I don't blame you. But, I'd like to think
that this is a positive step forward."
"Can I ask you a question?"
Stacey asks her mother, who nods back to her. "How did you forgive Lucinda?
She organized the plane crash, faked your death and held you against your will
for months. How were you able to look into your heart and forgive her?"
Lydia takes a deep breath. "Honestly? It was the most difficult thing
I've ever had to do in my life," Lydia admits to her. "You know the
history between Lucinda and I hasn't been ideal. But, after I escaped and I was
reunited with my children and my family, your father told me that I needed to
forgive in order to truly move on. And, when I saw Lucinda, in this state, such
a shell of her former self, I was able to find inside of myself to forgive her.
No one is perfect, and what she did was horrible, but I am back with the people
I love and she's
well, she's here and she will be for the rest of her life."
Stacey uneasily smiles back to her. "I guess you're right, we are still
with our loved ones."
"I know it will take time Stacey,"
Lydia tells her, but I do think that you will get beyond this affair. We will
get past this."
A single tear falls down Stacey's cheek. "I
hope so," she whispers. "Come on, let's get out of here, Grandmother
needs to rest," Stacey says as she kisses Lucinda's forehead. "See you
soon, I love you."
With that, she starts to push Lydia out of the
room. Once the door to Lucinda's room has closed, the older woman clutches the
arm of her rocking chair. "Stttttacccccccey," she mumbles. "Heeeeeeeeeeelp
mmmmmmmeeeeeee!"

Cole
moves out of the living room of the Rockwell mansion and into the foyer and sees
Celeste walking down the stairs with two bags. He arches his eyebrow wondering
why she is still in the mansion.
"Before
you ask," she stops him once she reaches the bottom of the stairs. "I
couldn't book a room at the club last night, but I am leaving today."
"That's good," Cole nods back to her. "Because, you're not
welcome here anymore."
Celeste shakes her head back to him. "You
know what? I'm really sick and tired of you and your entire family treating me
like a piece of trash! You all have made multiple mistakes in your lives and you
always forgive one another, but when an outside makes a mistake, God forbid, you
throw them away like yesterday's newspaper."
"That's right
Celeste," Cole nods back to her. "Play the victim. You slept with another
man. You got pregnant with his baby. But me and my family, we are the bad guys.
That makes perfect sense!"
"Ugh," Celeste groans back
to him. "Sometimes I wonder how I ever fell in love with in the first place."
The words make Cole's blood boil. "How dare you, get out of here,"
Cole spits at her. "We are over, Celeste."
"I
know," Celeste nods back to him. "But just so you know, I am sorry for
hurting you. But I will never apologize for my baby. He or she is a miracle!"
"Yea, yea, have a nice life!" Cole yells at her as Celeste walks
out the front door and slams it behind her. Cole sighs heavily and runs his hand
over his face, wondering how they got to this place when they were so happy a
few days earlier.

"You're
back from visiting Lucinda," Mac announces to Lydia as he opens the room
where she is staying. "I hope you didn't overdo it with your adventures."
"Nah, I'll be fine," Lydia smiles back to him. "But thank
you for caring."
"Of course, how was my mother today?"
"She was the same," Lydia replies to him. "I think it was
good for Stacey to visit her. It was an eye opener for her."
"I
was surprised that she agreed to go with you," Mac admits to her. "You
two have been at odds the last couple of weeks."
"I know, but
you know, I think this visit today could be the turning point for us," Lydia
tells him. "Stacey really seemed to understand what I was telling her, which
she hadn't done since before the truth came out."
"That's good,
I'm glad to hear that," Mac replies to her. "Because, we have to ensure
our children are back on track Lydia. Ever since that party, everything has been
chaos."
"Well,
one down, two to go. How do you think Lex and Cole can repair their damaged relationship?"
"I wish I knew," Mac sighs back to her. "But we have thought
of something. We must."
***
"Are you sure you're up to this?" Mac asks Lydia as he pushes into the
dining room of the country club. They were discussing their children when Lydia
had the idea to come out for lunch. Mac wasn't sure if it was a good idea because
he didn't want her to overdo it, but Lydia insisted that she was up for it because
she was getting tired of eating in her bedroom.
"For
the last time, yes," Lydia smiles back to him. "It's good for me to
get back to some kind of normalcy. This will be a great first step in that."
"I'm not going to argue with you."
"Smart man,"
Lydia chuckles back to him. "I've missed this place."
"Oh,
Mac, Lydia," Sabine says coming up to them from her chair at the bar. She
had seen her sister and former fiancé come in and decided to approach them.
She smiles at them knowing that she is meeting Kent very soon to drop a bomb shell
on Mac. "It's so nice to see you out and about."
"What's
gotten into you?" Lydia asks her sister. "You're not this nice to me,
usually."
"If memory serves me correctly, it was you who threw
me out of your room at the hospital," Sabine reminds her of their last visit.
"Despite everything, Lydia, I do care about you a great deal, and I'm glad
to see you making progress."
"Thank you," Lydia replies
to her. "I'm going to lead my example and tell you that I am working towards
forgiving you."
Sabine arches her eyebrow and looks up at Mac. "It's
nice to see you Mac, you're looking well."
"Same to you, Sabine."
"Thank you," Sabine purses her lips together. "For what it's
worth, I know my behavior at the gala was out of line, and I've gotten a hold
of myself. I'm not pining away for you anymore. I've
I've moved on."
Lydia rolls her eyes but keeps a smile on her face. "That's good to
hear," Mac replies to Sabine. "It's been nice to see you, but Lydia
and I have a reservation. Excuse us."
Sabine watches the two move
to their table before she pulls her phone out of her purse. She sends Kent a quick
text message, "Rockwell Mining in one hour."

"Toby? Toby, are you here?" Lex calls out as he walks through the
stables looking for his new friend. He wants to tell him about the fact that he
has the information he needs to get back at Cole for his sexual encounter with
Brock Jennings; after all, Toby has been key in helping Lex figure out how to
get his revenge on his brother.
"Hey stranger," Toby comes
out from behind a stable with a grin on his face. "I was wondering when I'd
see you again."
"You've been thinking about me?"
"How could I not be?" Toby asks him as he licks his lips. "We kissed
the last time we saw one another. I haven't been able to think about anything
else."
Lex blushes back to him. "You're a sweet guy,"
Lex tells him.
"Are
you saying you haven't been thinking about it?"
"No, I didn't
say that," Lex admits to him. "I've been thinking about it a lot, actually."
"Oh yea?" Toby moves closer to him. "I'm not going to apologize
for doing this then," Toby leans in and kisses him on the lips.
When they part, Lex looks at him. He knows that part of the reason he blew off
having sex with Tanner the other day is because he was thinking of Toby. But,
he knows that he has to stay focused on Cole and getting revenge on him. He can't
be distracted by this attractive man in front of him.
Lex
uneasily smiles back to him. "I came to tell you that I have the information
I need to bury my brother. I'm going to get revenge on him."
"Really?"
Toby grins back to him. "Lex, that's amazing! I can't tell you how happy
I am for you!"
"I couldn't have done any of this without you,"
Lex looks back at him. "I owe all of this to you."
"I'll
give you a list of ways you can thank me," Toby winks back to him.
Lex laughs back with him. "You're relentless, you know that?"
"I am, I know I am."

"I
wish you wouldn't worry about me," Kent tells Houston as he pours his son
a brandy as they stand in the living room of the penthouse. Kent knows that his
son is checking on him because of his recent minor stroke. "I'm fine, Houston."
"I'm
glad that you're fine," Houston nods back to him. "That doesn't mean
that I won't worry about you. You're my Dad."
Kent
passes him a brandy. "Well, I appreciate that. But, I am fine."
"Good,
and I'm glad that we are back on good terms, Dad. I hated the fighting between
us."
"So
did I son," Kent nods back to him. "I just hope you are okay with what
is about to happen."
Houston
arches his eyebrow. "What does that mean? What is about to happen?"
"Lydia
and I," Kent reveals to him. "We are going to get back together."
"I
thought she was living at the Rockwell mansion?"
"For
now, she is," Kent nods back to him. "But it's time she come home. It's
time she come back to me."
"If
this is what you want, Dad, then I support you, you know that."
Kent
pulls him into a hug. "You have no idea how much that means to me, Houston."
***
"Thanks
for meeting with me today," Cole welcomes a young woman into the main office
at Rockwell Mining. "As you know, my company is back in control of the Kelsey
Lake mine and we realize that the wild life preserve just north might have some
very rare, valuable diamonds."
"And,
let me guess," Madison Stewart uneasily smiles back to Cole. "You and
your family would like to mine the preserve? You know what a preserve is, don't
you?"
Cole
uneasily chuckles back to her. "Of course I do," Cole nods back to her.
"Surely, there must be some kind of compromise here?"
"Mr.
Rockwell," Madison looks back at him. "My only objective as the chair
of the preserve board, is to ensure that wild land is protected. I'm not sure
I can think of a way for your family to mine the land for diamonds and protect
the land, and the animals that live on it."
"Okay,"
Cole fakes a smile on his face. "Let me and my family think of something
and we will get back to you. How is that?"
"Fine,"
Madison tells him, secretly thinking that Cole is a very attractive man, but she
can't get lost in that now. She has a job to do. "But, I'm not sure I'll
be able to change my position."
***
"I've been waiting for you for over an hour," Odette Williams snaps
at Tanner, as he moves into the living room of Odette's home. Garrett Owen stands
next to Odette, as they have been waiting to get another update from Tanner about
their plan.
"I'm sorry," Tanner replies to her. "It's
not always easy to get away. There are many players involved in this scheme, some
of whom I have to see or questions will be asked."
"Well, what
do you have for me?" Odette asks him. "I don't have all day!"
Tanner tries to contain his annoyance. "Stacey was drinking earlier
than usual today," Tanner reveals to them. "I'll make sure that continues,
as we discussed."
"Perfect,"
Garrett tells him. "That will be the final nail in Stacey's coffin. What
about Cole?"
"Dixie Ryan is dead," Tanner informs them.
"And, Cole killed her."
"Ah-ha!" Odette claps her
hands together. "I knew it! I knew that there was something more to Cole
and Dixie. Are you sure of this?"
"Not really," Tanner
admits to her. "We know that he was with Dixie when she died. But we have
no proof."
"Good work, Tanner. You are definitely earning that
pay cheque that is coming. But, we have to make sure Cole gets stuck with this
murder wrap."
"What's next?" Garrett asks Odette.
Odette purses her lips together and looks back at Garrett. "I think
you know exactly what you have to do, Detective," she says as Garrett slowly
nods back to her. "Make Cole look guilty of this."
***
Kent stands in the foyer of the Rockwell mansion and looks at his watch.
He still has time before has to meet Sabine at Rockwell Mining, but before he
goes through with their plan, he had to come see Lydia one final time. He had
her and Mac followed to the club where they had lunch, and he was told that Lydia
came home alone while Mac went to the office to do some work, so Kent knew this
was his chance to be alone with his former fiancé. He has spent so many
years loving Lydia; he had to make sure that this was his last step in getting
her back.
"It is wonderful to see you out of that damn bedroom,"
Kent announces to Lydia, as she sits in her wheelchair with a brandy and a book
in her handy. "I knew it wouldn't be long before you were up and at it again."
Lydia uneasily smiles back to him. "Well, I'm not there yet, but I have
been making a point of getting out more."
"I think it's great,"
Kent smiles as he sits next to her. "I'm glad that we have this time alone
together, too."
"I'm not sure what is left to say, Kent."
"After all the years we spent together, Lydia, there is lots to say.
You can't tell me that you have forgotten all the years together?"
"Of course not," Lydia replies to him. "But, so much has changed.
Even you have to admit that."
"I can admit that," Kent
nods back to her. "But, are you really saying that you don't love me anymore.
I don't know that I can accept that."
Lydia shakes her head back
to him. "I'm not sure what it means, exactly," she admits to him. "All
I know, is that I am enjoying my time away from you. I've enjoyed my time here,
at the mansion."
"Because Mac is here?" Kent asks her.
"It's fine, don't answer that. I know that is the reason. I guess I should
tell you; I've had some medical issues as of late."
"What?"
Lydia gasps back to him. "What's happened?"
"It's
nothing," Kent waves his hand in the air. "I just had a minor stroke."
"Kent,
my God," Lydia shrieks back to him. "A minor stroke is not nothing!"
"I'm
fine," he tells her. "I just wanted you hear it from me."
"Thank
you for telling me, please take care of yourself. The last thing we need is for
you to die on us."
Kent
chuckles back to her. "I'm taking care of myself. In fact, that's exactly
why I'm going to make my next move."
"What is your next move?"
Lydia asks him, taken aback by his words.
Kent stands up and slowly walks
to the doorway. "Kent? What is your next move? KENT?" Lydia shrieks,
but Kent continues to leave the house, knowing that he has an appointment at Rockwell
Mining.

Cole punches a boxing
bag in the gym that is in the Rockwell mansion. He continues attacking the black
bag, trying to blow off some steam of his frustration from seeing Celeste earlier.
He still has a hard time believing that they were so happy together just a few
days earlier, and now she is living at the club because she is pregnant with Marat's
child. How could he have been so stupid? He asks himself as he punches the bag
one more time. He catches the swinging back to stop it, and tries to catch his
breath. He looks over at the door, and sees Lex come in, wearing some workout
clothes.
"Ugh, I'll come back later," Lex stops from coming
all the way into the gym. The last thing he wants to do is be around Cole right
now, not when he is about to make sure his brother pays for what he has done.
"Lex, wait," Cole calls out to him. "You don't have to go."
"Are you leaving?"
"No," Cole replies to him.
"But we can work out in the same gym at the same time. We are still brothers."
"Maybe," Lex shrugs. "In name only. A real brother wouldn't
do what you've done to me."
"What can I do to make this up
to you?" Cole asks him as he looks into his brother's eyes. "I don't
want this to drag us down. I really don't."
"There's nothing
you can do," Lex spits back to him. "And, I'm going to make sure that
you get what's coming to you. I'm going to make you feel the pain you've made
me feel."

Vivian walks into the dining room at the club and immediately sees Celeste
sitting alone at the bar. Vivian gets a devilish grin on her face at the sight
of Celeste sitting there; she knows that it means that Cole must have kicked her
out of the Rockwell mansion, which is ideal for Vivian because now she believes
he will have a chance to reunite with Cole. Despite everything, she still loves
him very much.
"Well, look what the cat dragged in," Vivian
sits next to her rival and orders a champagne cocktail. "I guess I'll have
a drink to celebrate for both of us."
"Go away, Vivian. I'm
in no mood for you tonight," Celeste barks back to her.
"Well,
this is a public bar," Vivian replies to her as she holds up her cocktail.
"I hear congratulations are in order!"
"I am going to
have a baby," Celeste informs her. "And, despite what anyone else says,
it is a miracle."
"Yes, yes," Vivian waves her hand in
the air. "More importantly, congratulations on losing Cole forever. You've
really outdone yourself this time. I don't expect you to answer, just know that
I plan on giving Cole a nice shoulder to cry on."
"If you think
Cole will go back to you
"
"I don't think, darling, I
know. Just watch and see," Vivian purses her lips together, as Celeste looks
over her shoulder and sees Cole walking into the restaurant. "Watch and learn."
Vivian stands up and walks over to Cole. "Cole, darling, it's nice to
see you."
"Vivian," Cole replies to her. "I'm running
late for a meeting."
"This won't take long," Vivian tells
him as she puts her hand on his chest. "I know your secret."
Cole looks back at her in surprise. "What the hell are you talking about?"
"Dixie Ryan," Vivian whispers back to him. "I know everything.
But, I'm willing to keep your secret if
"
"if what?"
Cole asks her back.
"If, you give us another chance," Vivian
smiles back to him. "I'm willing to forget everything, but I want you back
in my bed tonight."

"Knock,
knock," Dr. Chen opens the door to Lucinda's room in Avondale and moves inside.
The doctor enters the main living space of her tiny room and sees Lucinda rocking
in her chair. He smiles a little to himself at the sight.
"You're
looking well today," he says moving up to her. "Now, I've brought you
your medication. Are you ready for your pills?"
Lucinda
doesn't say anything back to him; she just stares forward into the space. Dr.
Chen pulls some medication out of his pocket and looks back at Lucinda. For a
moment he wonders if he is doing the right thing; but he realizes that if he doesn't
continue with this, his life and career will be over.
"Here
we go," he says putting the pills into Lucinda's mouth and then passing her
the water glass with a straw in it. "Drink up, and you'll feel better in
no time."

Lydia
lays in the bed in the Rockwell mansion spare room that she is staying in, her
mind racing about Kent's last words to her; that he hoped she understood his next
move.
"What
move are going to make, Kent?" she asks herself. "And, why do I get
the feeling that it will change everything?"
She
shakes her head. "I have to walk again," she tells her. "I can't
just sit here and let my life, and my family's life, fall apart."
She
scoots herself to the end of the bed and slowly places her legs down on to the
ground. She remembers last time she tried to walk, she wasn't able too. But, she
is determined to make this happen.
"Okay
Lydia," she whispers to herself. "You can do this. You have to, damnit!"
She slowly
takes a step forward and doesn't fall over. Soon, her left foot is following her
right foot. "My God," she gasps. "I'm walking! I'm really walking!"

Mac
opens the door to his office and stops dead in his tracks when he sees Kent and
Sabine sitting on the sofa. He has no idea how they got into his personal office,
but seeing them together in his office is rather unsettling.
"What
the hell is going on in here?" Mac asks them as he continues to walk to his
desk. He sets his bag down and continues on with his day. "Start speaking
or I'm calling security."
"We are talking about the redecorating
plans of this office," Sabine stands up and looks at Mac. "Because,
we are here to tell you that we are taking over Rockwell Mining, effectively immediately."
Mac starts to laugh back at her. "Have you been drinking?" he asks
her as Kent stands up.
"She's
telling the truth," Kent crosses his arms across his chest. "You don't
have a choice but to give us the company, Mac."
"What the hell
are you are talking about?" Mac asks them, losing his patience.
"It's simple," Kent replies to him. "I know that you and Lex worked
together to get the Kelsey Lake mine contract. However, at the time, Lex was an
employee of Blackmore Ltd. You know what that is called? Insider trading. You
and Lex could go to jail for a very, very long time."
"But,
we would be willing to forget that, if you give us the company," Sabine moves
closer to him. "Or, we could make this all go away all together."
Mac shakes his head. "What the hell do you want?"
"You,"
Sabine purses her lips together. "You put that engagement ring back on my
finger and Lydia moves back in with Kent and we can let this go. And if not, we
get your company."
"So, the decision is yours," Kent tells
Mac, with a sly grin on his face. "What's going to be: Lydia or Rockwell
Mining?"
