Kent
Blackmore, Houston Blackmore and Stacey Rockwell urgently walk through the long
corridor of the Kelsey Lake Hospital as they are looking to get more information
on Vivian Blackmore, who was in a car accident. Houston got a call from his half-sister,
Madison Stewart, advising him of the accident and he immediately called his father
about his mother. He has no idea how bad the car crash could have been, but the
worry in Madi's voice has left him thinking that it is lucky that Vivian is still
alive.
They arrive at the nurses' station and see a young woman behind
the counter. "We are looking for information on my mother," Houston
tries to ignore the large lump in his throat. "Vivian Blackmore; she was
brought in after a car accident."
The nurse nods back to him. "Are
you family?"
"I am her son," Houston replies to her. "And
this is my father, and this is the mother of her grandson."
"Alright,"
the nurse tells him. "I'll call the doctor to come and see you all. He should
give you the latest information."
They watch as the nurse turns and
picks up the phone. Stacey puts her hand on Kent's arm, and they lock eyes, unaware
that Houston sees the interaction. Houston tries to ignore the jealousy he feels
but he still hates the fact that his former lover is now sleeping with his father.
Then, Houston turns and sees Madi moving closer to them.
"Madi,"
Houston rushes up to her and pulls her into a hug. "How are you?"
"I've been better," Madi replies to him as they exit their embrace.
"Have you seen Mom yet?"
"We just got here," Houston
tells her. "The nurse is calling the doctor now. Do you know what happened?"
"It's a long story," Madi starts to explain to her half-brother.
"Apparently, it was snowing in Pasadena and Mom's car rolled 5 times; the
last I heard, she has a broken ankle and a head injury."
Houston
shakes his head in shock. "Snow in Pasadena? My God, so this could be bad
?"
Meanwhile, at the nurses' station, Stacey and Kent lock eyes while the nurse
continues to be on the telephone.
"How are you holding up?"
Stacey asks him quickly.
Kent shrugs back to her. "I am worried about
my ex-wife; the last thing we need is for Vivian not to come through the other
side of this."
Before Stacey can reply, she sees the doctor approaching
Houston and Madi. "Looks like we are about to get an update."
Kent
nods to her as they start to walk towards Madi and Houston. "Doctor, please
tell us what is going on with Vivian," Kent says as he stands behind Houston.
"Thank you all for being here," the doctor replies to the family.
"I'm afraid it's not good news. The number of rolls the vehicle took was
very damaging to Vivian," he tells them. "She has a broken ankle and
she's currently in a coma; we are hoping that the swelling in the brain will decrease
and she will start to show signs of improvement."
"I need you
to be honest with us," Madi looks back at the doctor. "Is my mother
going to survive? Will she pull through?"
"We are doing everything
we can to ensure that happens," the doctor replies to her quickly. "I'll
be back later with another update, but if you'll excuse me, I have other patients
to tend too."
Madi pulls Houston into a deep hug while Kent and Stacey
nervously look at one another, hoping that Vivian is able to survive this terrible
crash.
***
A short time later, Kent opens the door to the hospital
room where Vivian is resting in. He looks at his ex-wife, who is still in her
coma, and feels his eyes swell with water. He never thought that he would see
Vivian this way; she was always so full of life and energy; seeing her in a coma
is very difficult for him.
He grabs her hand after he sits next to her
and looks at her face. "Vivian," he whispers to her. "You're in
the hospital; we have the best doctors looking after you, but you, you have to
do your part, okay? You have to fight, you have to pull through. We can't lose
you, not now, not yet."
Vivian doesn't stir, despite Kent pleading
with her to get better. He sighs as he caresses her face. "Please Vivian,
don't give up, your family, we need you."
***
Back in the
waiting room, Houston looks over at Madi, who is pacing back and forth. He can
tell that she is worried about Vivian's chances of survival.
"I don't
like this," she finally stops walking and looks over at Houston. "The
doctor, he didn't seem convinced that Mom would pull through."
"Mom
is the strongest woman I know," Houston moves up to her. "We have to
believe that she will survive."
"I
" Madi looks back
into his eyes. "I need to call my Dad. He should know what is going on."
Houston nods back to her. "You're right, Chase should know," he
agrees with her, thinking about how close Vivian and Chase Cooper were for many
years. "You call him now, and I'll see how my Dad's visit was."
Madi moves to her large Gucci purse and pulls out her cell phone. She quickly
dials a number and then waits for her father to answer his phone.
"Daddy,
it's me, Madi," she says into her phone. "It's Mom
she's
she's
been in an accident," she says as chokes on her words. "And it's bad,
it's really bad."

The dining room at the country club
has been transformed into a romantic setting; there is only one table, which is
placed in front of the large fireplace; in the corner of the room, there is an
8-piece orchestra, which is playing soft music while a bottle of champagne chills
at the table.
"When you said that you wanted to have a romantic dinner,
I had no idea that you were going to rent out the entire country club," Helena
Grant smiles over to MacKenzie Rockwell, as he pours two glasses of the champagne
and passes her one. Helen was pleasantly surprised when Mac asked her to dinner
after she tried to convict him of Nathan Lockhart's death, which was overturned
when Nathan turned out to be alive.
Mac chuckles back to her. "I
like to make grand gestures," he admits to her. "Especially when I am
trying to impress a woman that has caught my eye."
Helena blushes
back to him. "Is that what I have done? I've caught your eye?"
"Do
you remember the first day we met?"
Helena looks back at him quickly.
"The day at the hospital? After Nathan had been shot?"
Mac nods
back to her as he takes another sip of his champagne. "You were trying to
figure out who shot my brother," he reminds her of when they first met. "And
you were asking me a lot of questions, hell you even arrested me," he chuckles
to her. "But the first time I saw you, I saw you and my heart skipped a beat.
I thought you were the most beautiful woman I had seen."
"You
flatter me," Helena replies to him quickly. "I have to admit, I am surprised
that you have gone to all of this trouble for me. I almost had you killed."
"It all turned out," Mac says as he moves up to her. "Are you
having a good time?"
"I am."
"Good,"
Mac licks his lips before he leans in and kisses her on the lips. "Because
this is the start of a beautiful relationship, Helena. I can feel it."
Helena looks back into his eyes before she is drawn into another deep kiss
with Mac, as the soft music continues to play behind them.

Nathan
Lockhart moves up to the bar that is in the living room of the Rockwell mansion
and pours himself a healthy glass of brandy. He takes a sip of it as his mind
races back to a few days earlier when he was at the hospital and he overheard
his fiancé, Sabine Andrews, talking to her nephew, Cole Rockwell, about
her pregnancy and miscarriage. To Nathan's horror, he overheard Sabine admit that
she didn't know who the father of her unborn child was: him or Mac. After everything
that happened between himself and Mac, he thought that they were going to try
to co-exist and end their feud.
"How convenient," he whispers
to himself as he takes another sip of his brandy. "Mac wants to bury the
hatchet, all the while knowing that he slept with my fiancé!"
He shakes his head in disgust at the thought of Sabine being with his brother.
"How could she do that to me? She tells me she loves me and then she sleeps
with my brother? Oh, I don't think so," he glares forward. "The question
is, what am I going to do about it? How will I make Mac and Sabine pay for playing
me for a fool? Once I figure that out, the games will begin."
***
The following morning, Lydia Rockwell moves into the country club and waits
for a table to be assigned to her. She hopes to have some breakfast before she
touches base with her children to see where they are in their lives. For the first
time, she feels like there might be a sense of calm with the family.
The
hostess takes Lydia to her table, where she sits alone. She opens the menu and
looks up, where she sees Lucinda Rockwell dining with Dane Ashby. She arches her
eyebrow at the two of them, who are chuckling with each other.
"They
have been growing closer for a while now," Lydia whispers to herself. "I
just wonder if we should be concerned, after all, we barely know anything about
Dane."
Lydia takes a sip of her mimosa as she continues to watch
Dane and Lucinda. "I think it's time that we find out everything about Dane,
before Lucinda gets in any deeper with this man."

Quinn
Cunningham steps off the elevator on the second level of the country club where
the suites are located. She moves towards the suite where Deacon Cooper has been
staying; she hasn't seen him since she went into labour, but she is hoping that
she can talk some sense into him. She can't help but recall how when she woke
up after giving birth to her son, James "Jumper" Cunningham, Marat Kafelinkov
revealed to her that Deacon had filed annulment papers. Quinn knows that when
the truth came out that Marat is really Jumper's father, not Deacon, he was furious
and that's why he filed for an annulment, just hours after they were married.
She takes a deep breath before she starts knocking on the door to the suite.
"Deacon? Deacon, it's me," she calls out as she continues to knock on
the door. "I'm not leaving here until we talk, so if you're in there, you
might as well open up!"
Deacon, finally, opens the door only with
a white towel wrapped around his waist; his toned chest is still wet as he was
in the shower when Quinn started knocking on his door. "You have a lot of
nerve showing up here, you know that?"
"We need to talk,"
Quinn says as she licks her lips as she moves into his suite. "You've been
avoiding me long enough."
Deacon smirks as he shuts the door behind
her before he turns to face her. "You lied to me for months about being Jumper's
father, and you expect me to be warm and fuzzy with you? What delusional world
are you living in?"
"It wasn't like that," Quinn purses
her lips together. "You and I, we had been growing closer, Deacon. I just
wanted a chance to be with you, I still do."
"You lied to me
about being the baby's father!" he yells back at her. "The minute the
truth came out, Quinn, you showed your true colors! You are a lying bitch! And
I never want to see you again!"
"You don't mean that,"
Quinn shakes her head back to him. "You will realize that you still love
me, Deacon. I know this for sure."
"Get out of my suite and
my life, Quinn," he spits back to her. "I never want to see you again."
***
A short time later, Quinn is sitting across from her mother, Sabine
Andrews, at the country club as they are catching up with one another.
"You
must still be in shock that Nathan is actually alive," Quinn tells her mother
before she takes a sip of her champagne cocktail.
"I
am," Sabine nods back to her. "Everything happened so quickly, I have
to tell you, but I am so glad that he is back. And because it means that Mac isn't
going to spend anymore time behind bars."
"We all should have
known that Carmen Santos was the one behind the shooting," Quinn quips back
to him. "Her and her bother caused nothing but heartache with the family."
Sabine chuckles back to her before she takes a sip of her drink. "Tell
me, how is my grandson? My goodness, I can't believe that I am a grandmother."
"Jumper is getting bigger and bigger each day," Quinn admits to
her. "Part of me can't believe that I am a mother."
"Motherhood
looks good on you darling," Sabine winks back to her. "And later, I'd
love to see Jumper to spend some time with him."
"We'd love
that."
"What is going on with you and Deacon? Or you and Marat?"
Quinn sighs back to her. "Interestingly enough, I just came from seeing
Deacon; I hadn't seen him since I gave birth."
"And? How did
that go?" Sabine asks before she takes another sip of her champagne cocktail.
"He's furious with me," she tells her mother. "But I am determined
to make him realize that everything that I did, I did because I wanted to be with
him. I won't let him go without a fight."

"Oh Levi,
good morning," Lucinda announces to her son as she moves into the Rockwell
Mansion and sees Nathan pouring himself a cup of coffee. "I mean, Nathan.
It is still a process for me to call you Nathan and not Levy."
"It
is fine, mother," Nathan chuckles to her. "Can I get you a cup of coffee?"
"Yes, that would be lovely," Lucinda replies to her. "Are you
going into Rockwell Mining today?"
"Mac and I are going to have
to learn how to work together since we agreed to end our feud."
"Did
I hear my name?" Mac asks with a grin on his face as he moves into the living
room. "Good morning mother."
"Mac, good morning,"
Lucinda turns to him as Nathan passes her the coffee. "You seem to be in
a chipper mood."
Mac nods back to her as he thinks about the previous
night when he had a date with Helena. "I am in a good space today, yes. And
Nathan, you're right. We do need to discuss how we can run Rockwell Mining together
moving forward."
"Together?" Lucinda asks him in surprise
as the brothers look at one another.
"We agreed to bury the hatchet,
so this is what the new normal looks like," Nathan says as he gets a sly
grin on his face, knowing that he is still thinking about how he is going to get
back at his brother for sleeping with Sabine. "Everyone will just have to
get used to the fact that Mac and I are getting along now."
***
Lexington Rockwell steps off the elevator at Rockwell Mining and makes a beeline
to the main office. He had taken some time off working but he is back, and he
knows that he is a good asset to the company. He opens the door to the office
and sighs heavily when he sees Cole Rockwell sitting behind the desk. Lex looks
at his brother and can't help but recall him admitting that he and Casper Ross
had an affair; of course, Lex and Casper ended up growing much closer, however
learning that Casper and Cole were sleeping together left a bad taste in Lex's
mouth.
"What are you doing here?" Lex asks as he moves into
the office. "I thought Mac and Nathan were going to be here?"
"Apparently
they are coming in together," Cole replies to him as he stands up from behind
the desk. "And hello to you too, Lex. Let me guess? You're still upset about
learning about my brief fling with Casper?"
"How would you feel
like if I told you that I fucked Celeste?" Lex asks him quickly, thinking
about Cole's on again and off again relationship with Celeste Baldwin. "Never
mind, that's a bad example because I'd never sleep with her. The thing is, Cole,
the gay community is small; it's not like I can meet guys anywhere. It really
sucks that the guy I was into, you were also into. It's gross."
"So,
you're going to walk around with an attitude with me now? Because a brief affair
that ended years ago?" Cole huffs back to him.
"I don't know,"
Lex admits to him as they lock eyes with one another. "All I know is that
this has left a really gross taste in my mouth and I'm not sure if you can do
anything to fix it, Cole."
***
"What is the latest on
Vivian's condition?" Chase Cooper asks as he moves into the waiting room
of the hospital, where he sees Stacey, Houston, Kent and Madi all sitting. "I
brought some coffee for everyone; hopefully it is better than the cafeteria."
"Anything is better than that swill," Madi moves up to her father
and hugs him. "Thanks Daddy."
"We are expecting the doctor
to come anytime," Houston informs him. "We just hope that the update
is good."
"It will be," Stacey comes up behind him and
puts her hand on her ex's shoulder. "We have to believe that Vivian is getting
better."
"Stacey is right," Kent chimes in. "We can't
assume the worst; Vivian is a very strong woman. We have to believe that she will
pull through."
Before anyone can say anything else, the doctor appears
in the waiting room. "Doctor, hi," Madi moves up to him. "What
is the latest on my mother? How is she doing?"
The doctor sighs back
to the family. "I wish I had better news," he admits to the group. "But
I just got her latest test results back; the swelling in her brain is still severe,
which is why she is still in her coma."
"Can you do anything
to help reduce the swelling?" Chase asks him.
"I'm switching
her medication," the doctor admits to them. "But this if the new medication
doesn't work, there isn't much more I can do. The rest will be up to Vivian."
"Oh God," Houston whispers as he turns and pulls Stacey into a hug,
which Kent sees. He knows that his son is trying to be strong, but Kent still
doesn't like seeing his lover in the arms of his son, considering their complicated
history.
***
Celeste Baldwin sits at the bar of the country club
with a Manhattan in front of her. She picks up her drink and takes a long sip
of it as she recalls how she and Houston recently ended up in bed together as
they were growing closer as they both felt rejected from the ones they truly love,
Cole for her, and Stacey for him, respectively. She never thought that she and
Houston would become lovers, but she can't help but think that the sex was great.
"I know that the sex was good," she whispers to herself before she
takes a sip of her drink. "But if I am honest with myself, I am still in
love with Cole. I always have been."
She wonders if they will be
able to get back together, since she knows that he is still upset with her for
her role in Sabine's miscarriage, which was an accident. Still, after she had
to confess that she had an affair with Nathan, she can understand why Sabine was
upset with her.
"Somehow, someway, I have to make Cole realize that
we belong together," she whispers to herself before she turns her head and
sees Cole moving into the country club.
Cole sees Celeste is about to
ignore her, but he finds himself moving towards the bar to see his former lover.
"Hi Cole," Celeste says as he approaches her. "Do you have time
for a drink?"
"No," Cole shakes his head back to her, as
he recalls seeing her and Houston in bed together. "I just wanted to tell
you to stop thinking that we are going to get back together; that ship has sailed,
and it's time we both move on, for good this time."
Celeste feels
the blood drain from her face at his words to her. She tries to not get tears
in her eyes, but she can't help but feel emotional about it.
"You
don't mean that
"
"I do," Cole nods back to her. "And
if you ask yourself, you'll probably know why that is the case."

"Well, this is a sight for sore eyes," Lydia smiles as she opens
the door to the main office at Rockwell Mining and she sees Mac sitting behind
the CEO desk. After months of Mac being on trial for murder, Lydia never thought
she would see him back in his element: running the family company.
"Lydia,
good morning," Mac stands up from behind the desk and greets his former wife.
"This is a nice surprise."
"After we almost lost you, I
wanted to come and see for myself that you were actually back at work," Lydia
teases him. "Are you and Nathan really going to work together at the company?"
"That's the plan," he chuckles back to her. "I am going to
give it my best effort. The last thing Nathan and I need is to be at each other's
throats again."
"I couldn't agree more," Lydia replies
to him, as she looks at Mac and recalls how they shared a close moment recently.
Deep down, she has always wondered if they would get back together and try to
make their relationship work again, but she knows that he mentioned that he was
having dinner with Helena Grant. "So, how was that dinner with Helena?"
Mac continues to smile back at her. "It was wonderful," he admits
to her. "I know it is early days, but I feel like Helena and I might be a
great match."
Lydia gulps heavily. "That's
well, that's
great," she manages to say back to him. "After everything you went through,
it is good to see you happy MacKenzie."
"Thank you, Lydia,"
he tells her. "I feel like I have a new lease on life, and I am not going
to let it pass me by."

Nathan finishes putting some files
into his briefcase as he stands in the living room of the Rockwell mansion. He
wants to go into office so he and Mac can iron out how the division of duty at
the company.
He turns his head when he hears someone else walk into the
living room. He arches his eyebrow when he sees Helena moving into the living
room.
"Ms. Grant," Nathan looks over at her. "This is a
surprise. What brings you by?"
Helena clears her throat as she looks
over at Nathan. "I was actually here to see Mac. Is he home?"
"I'm
afraid you've missed him," Nathan replies to her. "He has already gone
to the office. Were you looking for him as a follow up to the case? Is there something
I can help you with?"
Helena chuckles back to him. "No, this
has nothing to do with the case. Once we discovered that Carmen Santos was the
killer, the case was closed officially."
"I see. Then, if I
may enquire, why do you need to see my brother?"
Helena feels her
cheeks flush back to him. "I
I guess you hadn't heard?" she tells
him. "Mac and I
we had a date the other night. And
it was really
wonderful."
Nathan looks back at her in surprise. He was not expecting
to hear that Mac asked the police detective out on a date, yet alone that it was
"wonderful."
"Did my news catch you by surprise?"
she asks him, noticing that he looks stunned.
"I just wasn't expecting
to hear that," he admits to her. "Not that I can blame my brother, you're
a very beautiful woman."
"Why, thank you."
"Of
course," Nathan nods back to her. "I have to get running, but should
I tell my brother you stopped by? I will see him at the office."
"No,
it's fine," Helena waves her hand back to him. "I will send him a text
and we can connect when he's free. It was nice seeing you, Nathan. Take care of
yourself."
"You as well detective."

Lex
sits at a table in the country club with a brandy in front of him while he types
into his laptop as he tries to come up with a new proposal for Rockwell Mining.
While he tries to focus on his report, he can't help but think about his conversation
with Cole earlier in the day; Cole was telling him that his affair with Casper
was years ago, and so, Lex should just move on.
"I wish it was that
easy," Lex tells himself. "I just hate that the guy I was falling for
was involved with my brother. It's not right."
He shuts his eyes
for a moment and thinks about how he made love to Jaxson Williams, Jarek's twin
brother. He hasn't seen Jaxson since, but he has been on his mind.
"Well,
fancy meeting you here," a voice calls out at the table causing Lex to look
up and see Jaxson standing in front of him. Lex immediately notices how tight
Jaxson's polo is, which show off his biceps and pecs. "How's it going, Lex?"
"Hey Jaxson," Lex replies to him as his lover sits across from him.
"I have been
uh
busy, I guess. How are you?"
"Been
solid," Jaxson tells him. "I was hoping that I would have heard from
you by now. Unless you didn't enjoy our night together?"
Lex uneasily
chuckles back to him. "I very much so enjoyed it," Lex admits to him.
"You are very good at what you do."
Jaxson winks back to him.
"Thanks. Then, why have you ghosted me?"
Lex uneasily sighs
back to him. "Honestly? It is because I am trying to get my head sorted out.
I have a lot going on; I was involved with another man before we hooked up, and,
I mean, you're Jarek's twin. My head is just spinning."
"I suppose
that makes sense," Jaxson looks back at him. "I'll give you some time,
but man, I don't have a lot of patience. So, you let me know what you wanna do,
but I might not wait around for you to make up your mind."
***
"I actually am okay with this division of duties," Mac admits to
Nathan as they stand next to one another in the main office of Rockwell Mining
and look at a computer screen. They just finished dividing up the CEO duties,
and they are both in agreement of what the other will do.
"So am
I," Nathan looks back at Mac. "How is it possible that we didn't realize
that if we worked together, we wouldn't have the huge workload of one CEO?"
Mac chuckles back to him. "I hope you know, Nathan, that I meant it when
I said I wanted our feud to be a thing of the past. You almost dying and me going
to jail and being on death row, I think we have both learned our lessons."
Nathan finds himself nodding back to him, as he recalls how he heard Sabine
admit her affair with Mac to him. "I couldn't agree more brother, shall I
pour two drinks to toast us getting along and not letting anything, or anyone,
come between us again?"
"That sounds like a great plan,"
Mac replies to him as Nathan moves to the bar, his head spinning about how he
will get back at Mac and Sabine.

"I can't believe that
bitch had the nerve to show up here and plead her case," an exasperated Dyhannah
Cooper tells Deacon as they face one another in his suite at the country club.
Deacon just finished telling his mother about the visit that Quinn paid him the
previous day; she can't believe that Quinn is still trying to get back together
with Deacon, despite lying about her son's paternity for months. "I hope
you told her were to go and fast she could get there."
Deacon chuckles
back to her. "I told her that I never wanted to see her again," he reveals
to his mother. "I just hope that she listens to me."
"I
can ask your father to get a restraining order against her if you'd like,"
Dyhannah suggests to him. "I know you want to stay away from her so you can
try to move on from this mess."
"I want nothing more than to
move on from Quinn Cunningham and her lies," Deacon replies to her. "Let's
give it a few days, okay? If Quinn is still pestering me, I will file the restraining
order."
"Sounds good, baby."
"Speaking of
Dad, how is he? I can only imagine that he is worried about Vivian Blackmore;
I heard about her accident."
Dyhannah uneasily sighs back to Deacon.
"Chase is at the hospital; I hadn't heard the latest but
well, never
mind, it's nothing."
"It's not nothing," Deacon looks back
at her with intent. "What is it? What's wrong?"
"I don't
want to admit this," Dyhannah admits to him. "But Chase and Vivian were
very close once upon a time. I just hope her return doesn't mean that your father
realizes that he still has feelings for her and not me."
"Oh
Mom, that won't happen."
"I hope so," Dyhannah uneasily
looks back at him. "I really hope so."
***
Chase slowly
opens the door to Vivian's hospital room and moves inside. He closes the door
behind himself before he looks over at his former lover, who is still in her coma.
He hates seeing her this way, with so many tubes running in and out of her, but
he hopes that they are helping her get better.
He sits next to her and
grabs her hand. "Viv, it's me, it's Chase," he whispers to her as he
moves some of her hair out of her face. "I came as soon as Madi called me.
Our daughter, she is so worried about you, so am I."
He pauses for
a moment as he continues to look at her. "I am begging you, please get better,
okay? Please fight and come back to us. We are all waiting for you to open your
eyes and tell us how much you hate the hospital," he says with half a chuckle.
"In all seriousness, please keep fighting, you have too many people who love
you for you to give up now."

"How are you holding
up?" Stacey asks Kent as they stand in the corner of the waiting room. Stacey
knows that Kent, and Houston, are still concerned about Vivian's prognosis after
the car accident. She just hopes that they are taking everything in strides. "This
can't be easy for you."
Kent sighs back to her as he runs his hand
through his hair. "I am trying to stay strong, but I have to admit, it was
difficult being in that room with her."
"She was unresponsive?"
"Completely," Kent nods back to her. "I don't know if she could
hear anything I said or not."
"Oh Kent," Stacey pulls him
into a hug. "I am so sorry that you and your family are going through this.
Can I do anything to help?"
"You're doing it Stacey," he
says as hey continues to hold her. "I don't think that I could do this without
you."
"I'm not going anywhere, Kent. I'm right here, right by
your side."
At the entrance to the waiting room, Houston freezes
when he sees Kent and Stacey in each other's arms. He turns to leave, as he doesn't
want to interrupt, and he still hates the fact that they are together. After his
history with Stacey, he hates that she has now moved on with his father, and they
even share a child together.
"Damn it," he whispers to himself.
"Seeing them together still makes my blood boil. I don't know how I am ever
going to get used to seeing them like that."
"Houston,"
a voice calls out from the other end of the hallway. He looks up and sees Celeste
rushing towards. "Hey, I came as soon as I heard about your Mom. How is she?"
Houston hugs Celeste and holds her tightly for a moment. "Celeste, thanks
for coming. It means a lot to me."
They exit their embrace and look
into each other's eyes. "Of course, you are my friend, I am here for you
if you need me."
"It's bad Celeste," Houston admits to
her as he bites his lower lip. "It's really bad."
"Vivian
is a strong woman," Celeste encourages him. "She will pull through this.
She will make it through this accident."
"That's what I'm praying
for," he nods back to her. "That's what we are all praying for."

Cole moves through the front doors of the hospital carrying some
takeout food from the country club. He heard from Stacey that the Blackmore's
are still at the hospital waiting for another update on Vivian, so he thought
it would be nice to bring them some real food instead of eating the cafeteria
food.
As he moves towards the waiting room, he freezes in his tracks when
he sees someone emerge from Vivian's hospital room. Cole's mouth opens in shock
as he sees his former fiancé in the hallway in front of him.
"Madi?"
he calls out as he rushes up to her. "Madi, is that really you?"
Madi turns and feels her heart skip a beat when she sees her former. "It's
me Cole," she says as she looks back at him. "I'm back."

Nathan moves to the bar in the living room of the Rockwell mansion and pours
himself a brandy, which he takes a sip of immediately as he thinks back to how
he and Mac were getting along as they divided up the duties at Rockwell Mining,
but deep down, Nathan still wants to exact revenge on his brother for sleeping
with Sabine.
"The thought of them together still makes my blood boil,"
he whispers to himself as he takes another sip of his brandy. "How the hell
could she betray me like that? With Mac, of all people? No, she has to pay, they
both have to pay for this."
He moves up to the fireplace mantel and
looks at a picture of himself and Sabine. "I still have to figure out what
I am going to do but I can't let this go unpunished. They will not make a fool
out of me. I refuse to let that happen."
He sets the picture back
down and takes another sip of his brandy. He turns his head when he hears the
front door to the mansion open and, soon, Sabine appears in the living room.
"Nathan, hi," Sabine says as she moves a piece of her hair behind
her ear. "How are you? What's going on with you?"
Nathan looks
back at her and forces a smile on his face as he tries to keep images of her and
Mac in bed from haunting him. "I'm glad you're here, Sabine. I think it's
time we talk and get a few things straight, don't you?"
