MOSCOW,
RUSSIA
The Hotel Metropol Moscow is a lavish hotel in the country's capital,
opened in 1905 and remains one of the most luxurious hotels in the world. It is
currently the residence for Sabine Andrews, Quinn Cunningham, and Deacon Cooper,
who are in the country as they are trying to track down Marat Kafelinkov, who
has kidnapped the son he shares with Quinn, Jumper, after he found out that he
was the child's father, and he was worried he was going to lose custody of him
to Quinn.
Sabine sits on the edge of the large king size bed in the room
that she is sharing with her daughter, while Deacon is in the room next to them.
She is on her laptop typing furiously as she is trying to figure out if Marat
is back to work at the Kremlin, where his father, Yuri, was the CEO for years.
"Have you uncovered anything yet?" a nervous Quinn asks her mother
as she passes Sabine a bottle of water.
Sabine looks up at her daughter
before she makes eye contact with Deacon, who is on the other bed in the room.
She can tell that they are both still nervous about finding Jumper as it has been
weeks since Marat took the baby; she can tell that Quinn is desperate to find
her son and she can't blame her.
"I am waiting for Google translate
to work," Sabine replies to her quickly. "The Kremlin's website is all
in Russian."
"That makes sense," Deacon nods back to her.
"The translate might not be perfect, either."
"All I need
to know is if Marat has returned to the organization," Sabine purses her
lips together. "If he has, then we can use that to our advantage. I can claim
that I am here on business and talk to him."
"You really think
that will work?" Quinn asks her. "He will realize that you will be concerned
that your grandson is missing."
"Not if I play it right,"
Sabine replies. "If I say that Jumper missing has made you realize that you
were too young to be a mother, we could spin it that you don't miss him; I can
say that you've returned to New York and are living your best life."
"I don't know," Quinn shakes her head back to her mother. "I
am not sure that he will believe that."
"We have to try,"
Deacon tells her. "I agree with your mother; this could be the way in."
"The biggest thing that we have to remember," Sabine locks eyes
with Quinn. "Is that the Kafelinkov's have connections to the Russian mob,
so we have to tread very carefully. We are dealing with some very dangerous people
here."
"I don't care how dangerous they are," Quinn maintains
her firm stance. "I won't leave here without my son; I will not let Marat
keep him from me."

Nathan Lockhart slowly moves down
the stairs of the Rockwell mansion and sees Lydia Rockwell putting some of her
belongings into her purse. He freezes for a moment and watches her as he recalls
the previous night when he heard the whispered voices in his bedroom again. The
voices repeatedly told him that he killed Mortimer and called him a murderer.
Nathan, despite trying multiple times, couldn't find anyone in the room that could
have been talking to him, but he has been hearing the voices so often, he knows
that someone must be talking to him. The voices, however, continued throughout
the night, which is now the third straight night of him not sleeping well.
"Lydia, where are you off too so early this morning?" Nathan asks
his wife as he moves into the foyer of the mansion.
"Oh, good morning,"
Lydia turns to Nathan as he leans in and gives her a quick kiss on the lips. "I
have a meeting at the country club and then I was going to head into Rockwell
Mining to see how things are going. I know we've all taken a step back since Mortimer's
death, but we still have to make sure the company is running smoothly."
"That we do," Nathan replies to her. "I appreciate you doing
that. Let me know if I need to jump in anywhere."
"I certainly
will," Lydia purses her lips together. "Is everything alright, darling?
You look exhausted."
"I am," Nathan admits to her. "The
last couple of nights, have you heard anything in the bedroom?"
"Heard
anything?" Lydia asks him quickly. "What sort of thing are you hearing?"
"I don't know," he shrugs to her. "Voices, almost like a whisper?"
Lydia arches her eyebrow. "I have not heard anything like that,"
she replies to him. "I have been so emotionally exhausted that I have slept
like a baby. What are these voices saying to you?"
"That's not
important," he forces a smile on his face. "Anyways, I won't keep you.
Like I said, let me know what I need to do at the company."
"I
will my darling."

Kent Blackmore steps off the elevator
at Blackmore Ltd. and moves towards the main office. Today is a new day, he realizes,
and it is a day that he has been looking forward to for a while. The last couple
of years, he has felt like he has been a shadow of his former self, and the reason
he feels that way is because he had retired from his company. After being back
at the company the last few days, Kent is feeling more alive, and more like himself,
than he has in years. Considering everything that is going on in his romantic
life with his wife, Vivian Blackmore, and his lover, Stacey Rockwell, the return
to work has been a welcome change.
"Oh good, you're here," Kent
announces as he moves into the office and sees his son, Houston Blackmore, sitting
behind the desk in the office. "We need to talk, son."
Houston
looks up and wonders if his father is going to talk to him about the situation
with Stacey and Vivian. He knows that Stacey is, seemingly, close to a breakdown
and he wants to do everything in his power to ensure that she doesn't.
"Morning
Dad," Houston replies to him as he stands up from the desk. "Is everything
okay? Nothing has happened with Stacey, has it?"
Kent looks back
at him uneasily as he recalls how Stacey ended their romance because she found
out that he slept with Vivian, which Kent only did because he found out that Stacey
and Houston had made love. Of course, this happened before Mortimer passed away,
so he is sure that Stacey's head is spinning even more quickly now.
"I
am assuming you heard about Mortimer's passing?" Kent asks him as Houston
nods back to him. "I expressed my sympathy to Stacey, but I sense that she
needs time. She seems to have a lot on her plate right now."
"I
couldn't agree more," Houston sighs back to him. "I just hope she's
okay."
"Stacey
is a strong woman," Kent tells her. "It might take her some time, but
she will get through."
"If you didn't want to talk to me about
Stacey, then what is this all about?" Houston asks him, wondering what Kent
is up too now.
"I've made a decision," Kent looks back at him
with intent. "I'm coming back at Blackmore Ltd, full time."
Houston
arches his eyebrow. "What does that mean, full time? What are you going to
do here?"
"I'm taking back my rightful position as CEO, Houston,"
Kent reveals to his son. "I know you've been doing a good job around here,
but I am back, and I am ready to steer this ship again."
***
Nathan moves into the living room of the Rockwell mansion, still wondering
about the voices that he has been hearing in his bedroom. He can't explain why
he is hearing the voices, but the fact that they continue to tell him that he
killed Mortimer is upsetting to him.
He sighs when he sees his brother,
MacKenzie Rockwell, in the living room pouring himself a cup of coffee. He recalls
how, the previous night, Mac suggested that he changed Mortimer's will, which
is why Nathan inherited the majority of Mortimer's assets.
"Nathan,
you're finally up," Mac says as he turns around and sees his brother move
into the room. "You slept through breakfast."
"Slept is
an overstatement," Nathan replies to him as he moves to get himself some
coffee. "I feel like I barely slept, again, last night."
"Father's
death is impacting all of us," Mac tells him quickly. "I am sure, in
time, you will start to sleep better again."
Nathan takes a long
sip of his coffee as he thinks about the voices that are telling him that he has
killed Mortimer, which is the large part of the reason that he isn't sleeping.
That being said, he knows that he can't tell Mac that, because everyone already
suspects he has completed some form of foul play.
"That being said,"
Mac looks at his brother. "If you're having guilt pains about changing father's
will, then you might never sleep well again."
Nathan looks back at
Mac in horror. "You, and everyone else in this family, have got to stop accusing
me of altering the will because I did no damn thing!"
"You better
hope not," Mac grits his teeth back to him. "Because you will pay if
I find out that you did anything to Mortimer's will, brother dearest."
***
"It feels like the last few days, you've spent more time
in this office than any other room," Chase Cooper chuckles as he opens the
door to Dyhannah Cooper's office at Rockwell Mining and sees her busy working
at her desk. He feels like he hasn't seen much of fiancé the last few days
and he is hoping that he can change that.
Dyhannah looks up from her work
and gets a smile on her face. "Darling, hi," she purses her lips together.
"I have been busy here, that is for sure. I am not sure if you heard, but
Mortimer Rockwell passed away. I have been one of the few people running the ship
around here while the family grieves."
"I did hear about Mortimer,"
Chase nods back to her. "I can only imagine how the family is feeling right
now."
"It is actually working out to my benefit," Dyhannah
chuckles back to him. "I am getting the opportunity to really show my skills
now."
"Well, I am proud of you for that," Chase smiles
back to her. "How about we go and have dinner, maybe some champagne to celebrate?"
"Oh, sweetness, I wish I could," Dyhannah tells him quickly. "But
I still have a million things to do. I promise that this won't last forever, it's
just while the family is away, I must prove myself around here. Surely, you understand,
right?"
Chase sighs heavily, wishing that Dyhannah would have more
time for him. He would like nothing more than to have a meal with his fiancé,
and plan more of their wedding. He forces a smile on his face as he looks back
at his fiancé.
"Yea, sure, of course I understand. Of course,
I do," Chase tells her quickly.

Houston folds his arms
across his chest as he stands in the main office at Blackmore Ltd. He is still
reeling from the fact that Kent has revealed that he is going to return to Blackmore
Ltd as the CEO, a position that he has held for the last few months since his
half-brother, Lexington Rockwell, returned to work at Rockwell Mining. He realizes
that his father built the company from the ground up, but he also believes that
he has been doing a great job running the company.
"You don't look
impressed by my announcement," Kent chuckles back to his son. "Does
this mean you're not happy that I am coming back to wok?"
"This
is your company, you can do whatever you want," Houston hisses back to him.
"But I have to be honest with you, this feels personal instead of a business
decision."
"Personal?" Kent asks him back in surprise.
"Why would this be a personal decision?"
"Because of my
relationship with Stacey," Houston informs him. "You and mother only
slept together because you found out that I slept with Stacey before Sabine and
Nathan's wedding. Is this another way of you getting back at me for being wit
Stacey?"
"Was I upset to learn that you and Stacey slept together
behind my back?" Kent responds to him quickly. "You're damn straight
I was, but this decision has nothing to do with that, Houston. I've been away
from the company, from the fold, way too long. It's time I return and run this
company the way that it needs to be run."
"So, I wasn't doing
a good job? Is that what you're implying?"
"No, of course not,"
Kent tells his son. "You've done a great job and I want you to continue to
work here, but I will be running the company Houston, and that is not up for discussion."
***
A short time later, Houston opens the front door to the mansion
that he lives in with his mother, Vivian Blackmore, and his father. He storms
into the living room and makes a beeline for the bar, desperate for a drink. He
doesn't notice that his mother is sitting on the sofa playing Candy Crush on her
phone.
"Houston," she stands up as she sets her phone down.
"It's a bit early to be drinking, is everything okay? Did something happen
at work?"
Houston sighs back to her before he takes a sip of his
brandy. He turns around to face her and shakes his head in disgust. "Yea,
you can say that something happened alright," he grits his teeth back to
her. "My father is making a powerplay, and I am the one that was just sucker
punched."
Vivian arches her eyebrow back to him. "Kent made
a powerplay? What does that mean?"
"He's decided to return to
work as the CEO of Blackmore Ltd," Houston reveals to her. "So, guess
what that means? I'm not longer in charge."
"Well, darling,
if you want my opinion, your father retired far too early," Vivian admits
to him. "He might have needed a break for a while, but I think this is a
good thing for him."
Houston chuckles back to her. "The odd
thing about his decision, mother, is that it came after he learned that Stacey
and I made love," he tells her. "I think this is a personal dig at me;
a way to get back at me for sleeping with his precious Stacey."
"Oh
Houston," Vivian moves closer to him. "I wish you and your father would
just get along. You both want the same thing: to have the company succeed. Can
you please tell me that you will try to work with him?"
Houston takes
another long sip of his drink. "I will try but I have to tell you, this feels
like a low blow right now. A very low blow."
***
Stacey moves
into the living room of the Rockwell mansion and sees Mac looking out of the large
French doors into the garden. She gets a coy grin on her face when she realizes
that they are alone, which is perfect because she needs some alone time with her
father.
"Daddy, do you have a moment?" she asks as Mac turns
to face his daughter.
"My beauty, you know I always have time for
you," Mac smiles back to her. "Come sit with me?"
Stacey
nods back to him as she moves to the sofa and sits next to her father. "How
are you coping with all this? The last few days haven't been easy for anyone."
Stacey sighs back to him. "I am okay," she admits to him. "I
am trying to be there for you and Lucinda because I know how close you were to
Mortimer."
"I appreciate that more than you," Mac grabs
her hand. "We feel your love and your support. But when you say you're okay,
Stacey, I know you, and you're not okay. What is wrong?"
Stacey feels
her eyes swell with water. "You're right, I am not okay right now,"
she gasps for air. "I
I think I just need time away. I think I need
to leave Kelsey Lake."
"Because of your grandfather's passing?"
"No," Stacey wipes a tear from her eye. "This is more personal.
Oh Daddy, my life is a mess and I feel like I am close to snapping completely.
I feel like some time away will do me, and everyone, some good."
"You
know I will support you in any decision that you make, Stacey," Mac looks
back into her eyes. "And I am proud of you for realizing that this is what
you need. Anything you need from me to help make this happen, you can count on
me."
"Thank you," Stacey pulls him into a hug and holds
him.

"What a day it has been," Lydia announces to
Nathan as she opens the door to their bedroom at the Rockwell mansion. She sees
her husband about to pour himself a nightcap at the bar in the room and purses
her lips back to him. "I am glad that it is over."
"You
and I both," Nathan turns to face her. "I am exhausted."
"I
hope you are able to have a better rest tonight," Lydia says as she moves
closer to him. "I know you have been struggling to sleep since Mortimer's
passing."
"I keep hearing those voices," he reminds her
quickly. "I just hope that I don't hear them again. They
they are haunting
me."
Lydia looks back at him in concern as Nathan can hear the whispers
start to speak to him again. "You
you killed Mortimer!"
Nathan
feels the blood drain from his face as he looks back at Lydia in shock and horror.
"Do
do you hear that?" Nathan's voice cracks as he looks at Lydia
with desperation in his eyes.
"Hear what?" Lydia asks him in
confusion. "What are you hearing?"
"You! You killed your
father! Murderer!" the whispers continue to fill the room.
"The
voices!" Nathan pleads with her to hear something. "They
they are
saying that I killed Mortimer! You can't hear them?"
Lydia looks
back at her husband with worry on her face. "Nathan, darling," she grabs
his hand. "Come sit down. You
you must be hearing things because I
I don't hear a single thing?"
Nathan runs his hands over his face.
"You killed your father!" the whispers continue to haunt Nathan.
He looks back at Lydia once he opens his eyes with a look of horror on his
face. "What is happening to me? Why am I hearing these voices?"
***
The following morning, Houston slowly walks up to the front door
of the Rockwell mansion. He spent most of the night thinking about what he could
do to make Kent's announcement that he was returning to Blackmore Ltd, and now
he finds himself at the mansion. Within a few minutes, the maid has left Houston
into the mansion and he makes a beeline towards the living room, where he sees
Lexington Rockwell putting some of his belongings into his workbag.
"Lex,
just the guy I was hoping to see," Houston announces as he moves into the
room.
Lex looks up at sees his half-brother moving closer to him. "Houston,
this is a surprise. What brings you by?"
"I realized that I
hadn't seen you since I heard about your grandfather," Houston tells him.
"I am sorry for your loss."
"Thank you," Lex chuckles
back to him. "But you didn't have to come all this way just to offer your
condolences."
Houston chuckles with his brother. "I suppose
I did have another reason to see you today."
"What's up?"
"I don't know when you last spoke to Kent," Houston looks back at
him. "But he has decided to return to Blackmore Ltd. He's going to be running
the company again."
Lex arches his eyebrow at the news. "That's
interesting," Lex nods to him. "I always thought that Kent might have
retired a tad too early. How do you feel about his announcement? It would mean
that you're not long running the ship."
Houston uneasily chuckles
back to him. "Exactly," he replies to him. "I don't have much choice,
it is Kent's company after all. But I was hoping
"
"Hoping
for what?" Lex asks him.
"That'd you'd convince him not to return
to the company," Houston stuns Lex with his request. "Tell Dad that
I should continue to run the company."
***
Nathan splashes
some cold water on his face as he stands in his bathroom in the Rockwell mansion.
He had, another, night where he couldn't sleep because of the voices that continued
to tell him, over and over, that he killed Mortimer. What is more troubling to
him is that Lydia was with him and she said that she couldn't hear the whispers.
He has no idea what is happening to him, but he must find a way to make it stop.
"I killed Mortimer," he whispers to himself before he dries his
face with the towel. "I am a murderer."
He moves back into his
bedroom and puts his robe on. "I need a coffee," he tells himself as
he moves to the door. He starts to move towards the stairs and continues to hear
the voices that are talking to him.
"I killed Mortimer," he
whispers to himself, as Dane Ashby moves into the hallway, having heard Nathan's
mumblings.
Dane arches his eyebrow to himself. "Why is Nathan saying
that he killed his father now?"
***
A short time later, Dane
moves into the living room of the Rockwell mansion and sees Lydia and Lucinda
Rockwell sitting on the sofa together, each holding a cup of coffee.
"I
am glad that you're both here," Dane announces to them as he moves closer
to the sofa. "We need to talk."
"Good morning, Dane,"
Lydia replies to him.
"Yes, good morning," Lucinda looks back
at her fiancé. "I hope this isn't talk about you trying to convince
me to get married. I already told you my reasons for wanting to wait
"
"Yes, I know," Dane waves his hand back to her. "This is about
Nathan and what I just overheard."
"Levi?" Lucinda looks
back at him in concern. "What has happened?"
"I am not
sure," Dane admits to her. "I saw him leave his bedroom, he was looking
rather disheveled, and he was mumbling to himself."
"I am afraid
that he didn't sleep well last night," Lydia tells them. "That probably
explains his appearance."
"But it won't explain what I heard
him say."
"What did you hear him say, exactly?" Lucinda
asks him as she stands up and faces her fiancé.
"He
"
Dane starts to explain to her. "He said that he killed Mortimer."
"What?" Lydia gasps back to him in shock as Lucinda turns and looks
at her. "Why would he claim he killed Mortimer?"
"I have
no idea," Dane shrugs back to her. "But we need to find out, because
if he did do something to his father, there will be hell to pay."
***
"You will not believe what Dane just told me," Lucinda announces
to Mac as she moves into the study of the Rockwell mansion and sees her son sitting
in the armchair looking at a file for Rockwell Mining.
Mac sets his report
down on the table before he stands up and looks back at his mother. "Uh,
something about the wedding? I know he still wants to marry you sooner than later."
"This has nothing to do with the wedding or our engagement," Lucinda
replies to him quickly. "This is about Levi and Mortimer."
"What's
happened now?" Mac signs back to her.
"Apparently," Lucinda
intently looks back at him. "Dane overheard Nathan mumble that he killed
Mortimer."
"What?" Mac gasps back to her. "I thought
he said that Mortimer just flatlined; that he had nothing to do with it?"
"That's exactly what he said," Lucinda shakes her head back to him.
"But if Levi did do something to Mortimer, which could explain why he altered
the will, he will not get away with it. I will make sure that he pays."
"What can I do?" Mac asks his mother quickly. "How can I help
you prove that Nathan killed Mortimer? Because he won't get away with this. He
can't!"
***
"What the hell is wrong with you?"
a flabbergasted Lydia asks as she opens the door to the bedroom she shares with
Nathan and moves inside. She sees her husband laying on the bed, hoping to get
some rest since he barely slept the night before.
"What are you going
on about?" Nathan asks her as she moves closer to the bed.
"Dane
Ashby heard you say that you killed Mortimer," Lydia sighs back to him. "You
told me that you had nothing to do with his death? Did you lie to me?"
"No," Nathan shakes his head back to her as he leans up on the bed.
"It's just
those voices that I am hearing, they keep saying that I killed
Mortimer and that I am a murderer. I must have just repeated what the voices were
saying
"
"Well, you know damn well that Dane is going to
tell Lucinda, who is going to tell Mac
this is a nightmare, Nathan! Everyone
is, actually, going to think that you killed your father!"
"I'm
sorry!" Nathan replies to her quickly. "I
I don't know what's happening
to me!"
Lydia sits next to him and grabs his hands. "Darling,
we are going to have to do damage control. Lucinda and Mac, they aren't going
to let this go."
"What can we do?" Nathan asks her. "I
I
can't be punished for something that I didn't do."
"I have an
idea," Lydia tells him. "But I don't think you're going to like it,
but it might be our only option."
***
"You won't believe
the morning I've had," Lex says as he sits across Casper Ross in the country
club with some lunch in front of them. Lex is still surprised that Houston asked
him to return to Blackmore Ltd. because Kent is returning to run the company.
Casper finishes chewing some of his comb salad before he looks back at his
lover. "I can't wait to find out about it."
Lex chuckles back
to him. "I got told to tell Kent not to return to Blackmore Ltd, even though
he's already asked me to return to the company."
Casper smiles back
to him. "That's because you are amazing and everyone wants a piece of you."
"You're sweet," Lex winks back to him. "Besides, I couldn't
really leave Rockwell Mining right now considering my grandfather just died, right?"
"If you're asking yourself these questions, it must mean that you, on
some level, are interested in this job offer," Casper replies to him quickly.
"I say, you should think about it."
"Maybe I will,"
Lex says back to him. "Actually, speaking of work, there's something that
I've been meaning to ask you."
Casper arches his eyebrow before he
takes a sip of his white wine. "Ask away, I'll never keep anything from you."
"I, uh, I overheard you and my mother talking the other day," Lex
reveals to him. "Lydia was asking you to ensure no one knew about the case
that you were working on together. What case was it, Casper? And why is my mother
asking you not to say anything?"
MOSCOW, RUSSIA
Marat Kafelinkov
moves towards the crib that he placed in his office at the Kremlin and sees his
son, Jumper, fast asleep. He gets a smile on his face as he reaches down and caresses
the baby's smooth cheek. He stands up tall, again, and moves to the bar in the
office, where he pours some vodka into a glass.
"I am sure that,
by now, everyone has figured out that I have you, Jumper," he whispers to
himself as he takes a sip of the vodka. "I left Kelsey Lake and my son is
missing; they must have put the pieces together."
He slowly moves
back towards the crib as he takes another sip of his vodka. "The good news,
my boy, is that here in Moscow, the law will be on my side. Especially since my
family has long connections with the legal system. No one will be able to take
you away from me, especially not Quinn. She doesn't deserve to have you after
all of her lies, no, you will stay here with me and you will learn the family
company from me. And then one day, you will take over, the same way I took over
from my father. Yes, this is how this was meant to be, Jumper. You and me vs the
world," he grins as he takes another sip of his vodka.
***
"Alright,"
Sabine finally puts her laptop down on the bed and looks over at Quinn and Deacon,
who were playing on their phones, as they were trying to keep busy while they
were waiting for an update on Jumper. "I finally was able to confirm that
Marat is back at the Kremlin."
"Really?" Quinn asks, trying
not to get overly excited. "The Google translate confirmed this?"
"It did," Sabine nods back to her daughter. "Apparently there
was a press conference about a week ago where Marat announced his return to much
fan fare."
"So, does that mean that you're going to go to the
Kremlin tomorrow?" Deacon asks Sabine, who nervously looks at Quinn.
"Yes," she tells them. "I will go to the Kremlin, pretend that
I am there on business and tell Marat that losing Jumper was the best thing for
you, Quinn. I will tell him that you've returned to New York and are living your
best life."
"My God," Quinn's lower lip trembles. "This
has to work; it could be my only hope of getting Jumper back."
"Try
not to worry," Sabine tells her daughter. "I won't let Marat know my
reason intentions. I will help you get your son back."

Chase
sits at the bar of the country club with a whiskey sour in front of him. His mind
keeps replaying the events from earlier in the day when he asked Dyhannah to have
dinner with him, but she claimed that she was too busy at Rockwell Mining because
the Rockwell's are still grieving Mortimer. He is proud of her that she is making
such an impact at the company, but he is starting to feel like she isn't making
enough time for him, and the planning of their wedding.
"You look
a million miles away," a voice calls out from behind him.
Chase turns
and sees Vivian standing behind him. He, immediately, gets a smile on his face.
"Vivian, please join me. I haven't seen you in, what seems like, ages."
Vivian chuckles as she sits next to him and orders a champagne cocktail. "It
is because we haven't seen one another in a while," she reveals to him. "How
have you been?"
"I am fine, how are you?" he asks her quickly.
"You never would have guessed that you were in the hospital a few months
ago."
"You're too kind," Vivian smiles back to him. "I
am glad to say that everything is going well. Kent and I are remarried, and we
are happy."
"That's great to hear," Chase tells her before
he takes a sip of his drink. "You know that I only ever wanted the best for
you."
"I know Chase," Vivian tells him. "I will always
cherish our time together, and we have our daughter."
"That
reminds me, I should call Madi. She texted me but I'm afraid I haven't responded."
"What's going on with you? Normally you're so quick to respond, especially
when it comes to family."
Chase uneasily chuckles back to her. "I
am sure it's nothing," he admits to her. "It's just
Dyhannah has
this new job and I'm feeling a little left out."
"Have you spoken
to her about it?" Vivian asks him quickly.
"No."
"Chase
Cooper," Vivian scolds him. "You need to discuss this with Dyhannah.
The minute she knows that you're feeling this way, she will make time for you.
I know she will."
Chase turns and smiles to his ex-wife. "You
always gave the best advice," he chuckles to her as he grabs her hand. He
lifts it to his mouth and kisses it. "Thanks, Viv."
At the entry
way, Dyhannah freezes in horror at the sight unfolding in front of her: Chase
and Vivian, sitting together and he is kissing her hand. She turns and leaves,
quickly, having not been seen by her fiancé, but with a million questions
racing in her mind.

A short time later, Stacey is at the bar
of the country club waiting for her takeout order to arrive. She has ordered some
food that she will eat while she is packing. After talking to Mac, she has realized
that she needs to get away so she can clear her head. The sooner she can leave,
the better, she thinks to herself.
"Stacey," Kent says as he
moves up to her. "I know you said that you need space, but I am just about
to grab a bite
do you want to join me?"
"No," Stacey
turns and faces him. "That is the last thing that I want to do."
Kent uneasily chuckles back to her. "Alright, I offered. Look, I know
you're going through a bad time right now, but I am here if you need me for anything.
I mean that."
"You're going to find out sooner than later so
you might as well hear this from me," Stacey looks back at him with intent.
"I'm leaving town; I'm going to leave Kelsey Lake."
"What?
But this is your home? And your grandfather just passed away? You should be with
your family right now."
"I spoke to my father and he agrees
with me that getting away is what is best for me," Stacey replies to him.
"And so, I am doing what's best for me. And you know what, it feels good
to say that."
"When are you leaving? And where are you going?"
Kent asks her quickly.
"My destination is only for me to know,"
Stacey tells him. "I don't need you, or Houston, to try to track me down.
I need this time for me, Kent. Please understand that."
"I,
uh, I understand," Kent says.
"And I'm leaving as soon as possible,"
Stacey informs him. "The sooner I get out of here, the better off I will
be. So, this is goodbye Kent. I don't know if or when I will see you again."

"Are you sure you want to do this, mother?" Mac asks
Lucinda as they move towards the door to Nathan's bedroom at the Rockwell mansion.
Lucinda just informed Mac that Dane overheard Nathan mention that he killed Mortimer;
Lucinda, now, believes that because Nathan had Mortimer's will updated, he then
killed his father so he could inherit the millions that he was left.
"What?
Confront Levi about our theory?" Lucinda stops and asks her son. "You
bet I do. If Levi updated the will and then killed Mortimer, he needs to pay.
I won't stop until I find out, exactly, what the hell is going on."
"Alright,
I just want to warn you that Nathan will likely fight back."
"Let
him," Lucinda grits her teeth back to him. "He has no idea who he is
dealing with in me."
They move to the door and open it, causing Nathan
and Lydia to look back from the bed. "You're here, good, we need to talk,"
Lucinda announces as Mac moves up behind her. "You're going to tell me, everything,
that happened while you were at the hospital with Mortimer. And I'm not leaving
here until you do."
"We are actually glad that you're both here,"
Lydia stands up from the bed and looks at her family. "Because Nathan has
made a decision that you need to hear about."
"What is going
on now?" Mac asks in frustration.
"I've
been
well
I've been hearing voices," Nathan admits to them. "And
it is getting worse. So, with Lydia's help, I've made a decision."
"Which
is what?" Lucinda snaps at him.
"I'm
" Nathan uneasily
starts to respond to her. "I'm going to commit myself to a hospital. I need
to be committed until I am healthy again."
