Lydia
Rockwell opens the front door to the Rockwell Mansion and moves inside. As she
closes the door behind herself, she takes a long breath. She just came from the
health facility where Nathan Lockhart was committed because he continued to hear
voices telling him that he killed his father, Mortimer Rockwell. Lydia, now, must
tell the rest of the family as to what just happened. Part of her knows that the
family will be happy that Nathan is getting the help he needs but on the other
hand, he is worried about how they will feel over the fact that Nathan was committed
to the psychiatric ward.
She moves into the living room where she can
see Mac, Lucinda, Cole and Lex Rockwell and sipping coffees as they just finished
their breakfasts, while Dane Ashby is pouring himself another cup at the bar.
"Good morning everyone," Lydia says to her family as she puts her
purse down on the desk in the corner. "I am glad everyone is here."
"Lydia," Lucinda stands up from the sofa and looks at her former
daughter in law. "I have been wondering when you would get back from the
hospital. How is Levi?"
"That's what I wanted to tell you,"
Lydia reveals to her, and the rest of the Rockwell's. "I just came from the
hospital. They
they committed Nathan early this morning. The paperwork took
longer then expected, but I was able to sign them and have him committed."
"Well, that's a good thing, isn't it?" Mac asks her quickly. "Now
he can get the help he needs?"
"That's the thing," Lydia
gulps back to him. "He wasn't just committed to the hospital, he was committed
to the psychiatric ward."
"What?" Lucinda gasps back to
her. "Was this part of the plan? I thought that he was just going to be committed
to a normal hospital?"
"That's what I thought as well,"
Lydia admits back to her. "But after the assessment the Doctor thought it
would be best for Nathan to go to the psych ward. Look, I know it's not what we
thought, but this could be a good thing; they might be able see why he is hearing
those voices?"
"Lydia is right darling," Dane says as he
moves up to Lucinda. "This might be the best thing for Levi."
"I
hope you're both right," Lucinda whispers back to them before she makes eye
contact with Mac. "I really hope you're right."

Nathan's
eyes slowly open. He takes a moment to adjust to lights in the room where he is
laying. He tries to sit up in the bed, but he finds himself unable too. He lets
out a groan, which alerts Doctor Zhang that he has woken up.
"Good
morning Nathan," the Doctor says as she moves closer to Nathan's bed. "You
must have been exhausted, you slept for almost twelve hours straight."
"I
I was tired," Nathan manages to tell her. "Where
where
am I?"
"You're at the hospital," Zhang reveals to him.
"You were committed last night. Your family, your wife, they want to know
why you have been hearing those voices."
Nathan nods back to her.
"They
they are the reason that I haven't been sleeping. They keep me
up at night."
"And last night?" Zhang asks him quickly.
"Did you hear the voices last night?"
Nathan pauses for a moment
to think about the question before he locks eyes with the doctor. "No,"
he finally responds to her as she starts to make a note in her file. "I didn't
hear the voices last night."

Dyhannah Cooper steps off
the elevator at Blackmore Ltd. and quickly fixes her pencil skirt. She, then,
pulls out her compact to ensure her lipstick doesn't need a refresh. Once she
has confirmed that she is looking good, she smiles to herself as she starts to
walk towards the main office. While she moves, she recalls how the previous evening,
she called Kent Blackmore and requested to have a meeting with him. Much to her
delight, he agreed and now, she is about to tell him about her idea.
"Good
morning," she announces as she opens the door to the office. Kent immediately
stands up from behind his desk and looks at Dyhannah.
"Dyhannah,
good morning," Kent smiles back to her. "It's been far too long, how
are you?"
"I am well, thank you," Dyhannah purses her lips
together. "I am glad that you were able to squeeze me into your schedule
this morning. I can imagine that you are incredibly busy right now since you have
returned to the fold here at Blackmore."
Kent chuckles back to her
as he moves to the bar. "I am busy, that is for sure. But you know, it is
a great thing. I hadn't realized how much I missed this place until I returned.
Can I get you a coffee?"
"I'd love one," Dyhannah says
as she sits on the sofa. Kent, then, passes her the drink and she takes a sip
of it. "Thank you."
Kent sits across from her and grins back
to her. "So, you mentioned that you had a proposition for me? What does that
entail?"
Dyhannah sets her coffee cup down on the small table in
front of her and then arches her eyebrow back to him. "What I am about to
tell you, it must stay between us."
"Of course."
"I
think I have a way for both of us to get exactly what we want."
"And
what do you think we both want?"
Dyhannah chuckles back to him. "For
Blackmore Ltd. to finally come out on top in the business war against Roboto.
And I think I know just how you can do that."
Kent leans in closer
to her. "I'm all ears, what is this plan to get Blackmore Ltd. on top?"

Celeste Baldwin sits in the country club with some French toast in front of
her. She has decided to have some comfort food for breakfast as she is still struggling
with the idea that she and Cole Rockwell's relationship is over for good. She
knows that they have both hurt one another in a variety of ways over the years,
but she still believes that they are meant to be together. However, after she
made Madison Stewart believe that she and Cole were having an affair, Cole has
been furious with her. Madi, since, has left town and Cole ended up sleeping with
Celeste as an act of revenge. Since then, Cole has told her, repeatedly, that
they are over for good.
"I just can't shake this feeling that if
Cole just gave us one more chance, we could be so happy together," she whispers
to herself as she takes a bite of her breakfast. "I just need to figure out
a way for him to realize that he needs to give me, to give us, a second chance."
She looks up and sees Cole moving towards the bar, where he is picking up
some takeout. Celeste realizes that he must be getting some breakfast to take
into Rockwell Mining. She finds herself standing up and moving up to her former
lover.
"Hi Cole," she says as she reaches the bar. "I don't
want to take up much of your time, but I wanted to come and say hello when I saw
you here."
"Good morning," Cole replies to her quickly.
"You're right, I don't have a lot of time. I have to get to the office; we
have a million things on the go right now."
"I miss those days,"
Celeste admits to him. "The days when I was working with you and the family
at the company. Maybe I could come back and do some designs for you again?"
"I'll have to ask my father, but I have to admit to you Celeste, this
isn't a great time. We are all going through a great deal right now with my grandfather
passing."
Celeste uneasily nods back to him before she reaches out
and grabs his arm. "I know, and I'm here for you if you need me, Cole. You
have to know that."
"I do," Cole replies to her. "But
like I told you, the last thing I want is to lean on you, Celeste. We are over,
and right now, some time away from each other is the best thing for us."

Dane Ashby moves into the study of the Rockwell Mining and sees
Lucinda about to pour herself a brandy. He can only imagine what she is going
through right now having just learned that Nathan was committed to the psych ward
at the hospital as this was a complete surprise to her, and the rest of the Rockwell's.
"How are you feeling about Lydia's announcement?" Dane asks his
fiancé, who turns to face him.
"I am worried sick about Levi,"
Lucinda admits to him. "The psych ward
I just never thought my son would
be in a mental hospital."
"Like Lydia and Mac said, maybe this
could be the best thing that for him. I know it can be overwhelming, but try to
look at the positives," Dane tells her. "I am trying to be positive
for you."
"I know you and I appreciate that," Lucinda tells
him before she takes a sip of her brandy. "I'm
I'm just feeling overwhelmed."
"Just remember that I'm here and you don't have to push me away, Lucinda.
I am not going anywhere, so you must get used to that."
Lucinda locks
eyes with him. "Thank you. And I am sorry for pushing you away and for snapping
at you about the wedding last night; I am just trying to navigate this the best
way I know how."
***
Lydia moves into the bedroom that she shared
with Nathan and closes the door behind her. With Nathan in the hospital, she realizes
that she has another task that she must accomplish. She pulls out her cell phone
and dials a number.
"I'm glad you picked up," she says into
her phone.
At the bar of the country club, Casper Ross holds his phone
to his ear. "I've been meaning to talk to you, so I am glad that you called."
"You need to talk to me? Why, what has happened?" Lydia asks him
quickly.
"It's Lex," he replies to her as he looks over his
shoulder to ensure no one he knows is approaching him. "He overheard us talking
in the Rockwell Mansion the other day; he heard us talk about the case that you
hired me for."
"To investigate Dane's past," Lydia shakes
her head. "Damnit, I can't let anyone know about that! Not yet, anyways."
"Well, I was able to cover with him, but I still think he is getting
suspicious."
"Don't worry about my son," Lydia tells him.
"I will handle Lexington, but you Casper, you make sure you don't breathe
a word of your investigation to anyone."
***
A few hours
later, Lex moves into the dining room of the country club and sees Kent and Houston
Blackmore sitting at a table waiting for him. Lex had received a text from Kent
asking him and Houston to meet him for lunch at the club. Lex hopes that Kent
is not going to try to convince him to accept the job offer at Blackmore Ltd.
since he advised his father that he is needed at Rockwell Mining.
"Good
day," Lex announces as he moves up to the table and sits next to his father
and half-brother.
"Hey Lex," Houston replies to him before he
takes a sip of his beer. "Dad was just telling me that you decided not to
come back to Blackmore."
"That's right," Lex nods back
to him. "With Mortimer's passing, I feel like the Rockwell's need me right
now; I can't leave when they need me."
"I am still hoping that
I can change your mind," Kent chuckles back to his sons. "Think about
it, the three of us working together again at Blackmore. It could be a glorious
time for the company!"
Houston rolls his eyes. "He made up his
mind, Dad. We need to let this go."
"I don't think so,"
Kent laughs. "I want both of you by my side when I take Blackmore Ltd. into
the next phase of it's life, and it's going to be incredible!"
Lex
looks back at him in surprise. "You sound confident about that; do you have
something special planned?"
"I do," Kent nods back to him
with a twinkle in his eye. "I heard that Roboto, a cosmetics company from
Twin Peaks, is looking to work with a diamond company on a collaboration. The
CEO of Roboto, Natasha Calimo, I knew her father, Bob, very well. I am going to
secure the collab with Blackmore Ltd. and Roboto!"
Lex feels the
blood drain from his face as he realizes that this collaboration is the same one
that Mac is working on at Rockwell Mining. What Lex doesn't know, however, is
how Kent has learned about this and how he is going to win the bid from Rockwell
Mining.

The next morning, Dyhannah stands in the suite of
the country club that she is staying in with her fiancé, Chase Cooper,
looking at herself in a mirror. She is putting the final touches on her outfit
before she will head into the office for the day.
Chase moves up behind
her and smiles at the sight of her. "You look beautiful."
Dyhannah
turns around and kisses him quickly on the lips. "Thank you darling,"
she says as their lips part. "What is on your agenda for the day?"
"I am meeting with some clients a little later on," Chase replies
to her quickly. "And you? I am assuming that you have, yet another, busy
day planned at Rockwell Mining?"
Dyhannah chuckles back to him. "I
do, I am about to embark an exciting new plan."
Chase arches his
eyebrow back to her, curious about her response. "A plan? Should I be worried
about this plan?"
"I can take care of myself, darling."
"I know you can," Chase moves closer to her. "I
I just
don't want you to get in over your head."
Dyhannah sighs back to
him as she puts a diamond earring into her ear. "Why do I get the feeling
you're taking the side of the Rockwell's over mine?"
"I am doing
no such thing," Chase informs her. "I just don't want you to do something
that you may live to regret."
Dyhannah chuckles back to him. "Don't
you worry about that," she winks back to him. "The last thing that will
come from this plan of mine is regret."

MOSCOW, RUSSIA
Sabine Andrews takes a deep breath as she rides up the elevator towards the
floor where the Kremlin is in the office tower. She is wearing the wire that Deacon
Cooper and Quinn Cunningham provided her because they were concerned that when
Sabine meets with Marat Kafelinkov, he might turn dangerous. Still, Sabine knows
that she must take the chance because this could be their only way for them to
get Jumper back, who Marat has kidnapped.
On the floor where the Kremlin
offices are, there are three elevators side by side by side. Marat stands in the
elevator bay waiting one of the doors to open. He can see one slowly getting closer
to his floor, so he thinks that he will be able to leave soon. To his surprise,
the elevator next to it opens and Marat moves into it, pushing the button of the
floor that he requires.
Just as the doors to his elevator close, another
elevator's doors open and Sabine steps into the foyer. She looks around before
she starts to move towards the main office. When she gets there, she opens the
door but sighs to herself, when she realizes that Marat isn't in the office.
"Damnit, she whispers to herself. "He's not here, but I am not giving
up. I will find you Marat. I will get my grandson back."
***
Meanwhile, in the other elevator, Marat's cell phone rings. He reaches into
his pocket and pulls it out.
"Marat Kafelinkov," he says into
his phone. "Really? That's interesting, do you have any idea where Quinn
would have went?
No, that's all for now. But keep me posted, please."
He hangs up the phone and sighs to himself. "Quinn left Kelsey Lake,"
he whispers to himself. "Where did she go? And did she, somehow, figure out
that I came back to Moscow with Jumper? I need to keep my eyes and ears open at
all times; I won't let her get my son away from me. Not this time."
***
"What did you just hear?" Quinn asks Deacon as she stands in the
hotel room pouring two glasses of white wine. Deacon is sitting on the large king
size bed with some headphones in his ear as he is listening to the wire that Sabine
is wearing while she goes to the Kremlin.
Deacon takes one of the headphones
out while Quinn passes him a glass of wine. He sighs back to her. "Your mother
reached Marat's office, but he wasn't there."
"What do you mean,
he wasn't there?" Quinn asks in a huff. The longer she goes without finding
out some information on Jumper, the more anxious she gets. "Where the hell
could he be?"
"Sit down and have some wine," Deacon instructs
her with a chuckle. "Marat is a busy man, he might have had a business meeting
or a lunch appointment. This isn't the end of the world."
"I
was just hoping that this would be over today and that I'd get my son back,"
Quinn admits to him. "Every day that goes by that I am without Jumper, it
feels like an eternity."
"Don't worry," Deacon tries to
comfort her. "We will get Jumper back; this was just the first step. The
first of many."
***
A short time later, Quinn stands up from
the bed when she hears someone fiddling with the door to the hotel room. She locks
eyes with Deacon, who takes his headphones out of his ears.
"Do you
think that Marat has found us? Do you think Marat knows we are here?" a panicked
Quinn whispers back to Deacon, who stands up and moves in front of her, preparing
to protect her in the event that Marat is at their hotel room.
The hotel
room opens, and Sabine emerges. "Deacon, Quinn, hi," she says coming
into the suite.
"Mother, what the hell are you doing here? I thought
you'd wait at the Kremlin until you saw Marat?" Quinn asks her quickly. Quinn
really wanted Sabine to stay at the office until she saw Marat so she could try
to get closer to Jumper.
"I waited around for about an hour,"
Sabine tells her as she puts her purse down on one of the dressers in the room.
"I didn't want to bring attention to myself, you know, hanging out in an
office where I don't have any real business. I didn't want another employee to
alert Marat or security that I was there."
Deacon nods back to her.
"That was good thinking," he tells her before he looks back at Quinn.
"Please, don't give up Quinn; like I told you earlier, today was just the
first step in getting Jumper back. There will be more chances for us to put this
plan into motion."
"I know," Quinn says as her eyes fill
with water. "I just miss my son; I want my son back and every time that there
is a delay, I feel like he is slipping further and further away from," she
says as a tear falls down her cheek.

Vivian opens the door
to the main office at Blackmore Ltd. and moves inside as she sees her husband
sitting behind the desk. Vivian gets a coy smile on her face as she hasn't seen
Kent sitting behind the desk in a very long time. She knows how much working has
meant to Kent over the years, but she also loved how often he was at a home during
his premature retirement.
"You look as though you've never left,"
she chuckles to him as she moves up to him and gives him a kiss on the lips. "How
does it feel to be back?"
"It feels amazing Viv," Kent
replies to her quickly. "The company, this place, it is in my blood. I didn't
realize how much I missed it until I got back here."
"You always
loved working here and making it the international success that it is today,"
Vivian proudly tells him. "I don't think that will change now that you're
back, but I do hope that somethings will change."
Kent arches his
eyebrow back to him. "What does that mean? What things do you want to change,
Vivian?"
She nervously chuckles back to him. "To be honest,"
she starts to tell him. "This has to do with Houston. You know, Kent, that
he was the CEO before you decided to come back."
"Yes, yes,"
Kent waves his hand in the air. "And he was doing a great job and he will
continue to be a member of the leadership team here, but I am the CEO of this
company."
"Please, Kent, just remember that you have hurt Houston
before by playing games at the company, namely, putting Lexington Rockwell in
charge instead of Houston. Do not let that happen again, you owe Houston that
much."
Kent chuckles back to her. "Don't worry, Vivian,"
he locks eyes with her. "The only thing that I will ever do is whatever is
the best for the company. Houston, and Lexington, both know that, and they should
be prepared for whatever that means."
***
Mac opens the door
to the study at the Rockwell mansion and moves inside, where he sees his mother
about to pour herself a glass of red wine. He pauses for a moment and looks at
her as he wonders how she is really doing; he knows that between Mortimer's passing
and Nathan being committed, Lucinda must be reeling.
"Mother, you
barely touched your dinner and now you're drinking, is that the wisest decision?"
he asks her as he moves up to her.
"The wine will numb me a little,"
Lucinda whispers back to him before she takes a sip of her drink. "It has
been a day, hell it's been a week."
Mac chuckles back to her as he
pours himself a glass of wine as well. "That is has; how are you doing? Honestly?
I know that these last few days have been difficult on you."
"They
have," she nods back to him. "I just
I just hope that the doctors
are able to get Levi healthy and help us understand what, exactly happened between
him and Mortimer. I don't think I will have rest until we know if Levi killed
Mortimer or not."
"You know, I've been thinking about something
else," Mac admits to her as he moves to the sofa and sits next to Lucinda.
"What else could there be to think about at a time like this?"
Mac chuckles back to her. "Dane and Dyhannah," he locks his eyes
with his mother. "I wonder if we should tell Dane that Dyhannah is his daughter?"
"To be honest," Lucinda replies to him quickly. "I had, almost,
forgotten about that piece of information. I
I don't know if this is the
time, Mac. I don't know that there will ever be a good time to reveal that bombshell."
***
Dane sits at the bar of the country club with a scotch in front
of him. His mind is racing over the fact that Lucinda has continued to push him
away since Mortimer's passing; just as they were getting ready to be married,
her ex-husband dies and now the wedding is the last thing on Lucinda's mind. Dane,
however, wishes that she would reconsider; the sooner that they are married, the
better it will be forever, he believes. Especially since he believes that a wedding
would bring some much-needed happiness to the family, since they are mourning
and they are dealing with the fact that Nathan was just committed.
"What
am I going to do?" he whispers to himself as he takes a sip of his drink.
"How am I going to make her realize that we should be together; the longer
it takes us to get married, the more I fear that she will continue to come up
with excuses for us not to be together."
"You know, they save
the first sign of losing one's mind is when you talk to yourself," Dyhannah
announces to Dane as she moves up to the bar and sits next to Dane.
"I
am not in the mood for any of your games tonight," Dane sternly replies to
her before he takes another sip of his drink.
"Well, this is a free
country, and I had an incredibly long day at the office, so I am here for a nightcap
before I turn in."
"That's fine but you can sit there peacefully
and leave me with my thoughts."
"My God," Dyhannah looks
at him and sighs. "You're not even a member of the Rockwell's but you're
just as bad as they are! Stuck up, ignorant and like you are walking on water,"
she says as she stands up. "Enjoy your drink in peace!"
Before
Dane can respond, Dyhannah rushes away from him leaving him once again, alone,
and feeling like Dyhannah Cooper is a thorn in his side.
***
The
following morning, Dyhannah pours herself a cup of coffee from the small bar that
is in the suite that she is staying in with Chase. Her mind is racing over her
most encounter with Dane the previous night; she can't believe how smug he, and
the rest of the Rockwell's, are. In her mind, it further solidifies her decision
to move forward with her plan that she is working on with Kent.
Behind
her, Chase emerges from the washroom with a white towel wrapped around his waist
as he is fresh from the shower. "You are ready to go early this morning,"
he chuckles to her as he moves up behind her and kisses the back of her head.
She turns so they can lock lips quickly.
"I have a million things
to do today," she responds to him. "Mainly, trying to stay away from
the Rockwell's and Dane Ashby."
Chase chuckles back to her. "That
might be difficult considering you are working for Rockwell Mining?"
"Ugh, do not remind me," Dyhannah waves her hand in the air. "I
had a run-in with Dane last night, and he is one smug son of a bitch."
"Oh Dyhannah," Chase sighs back to her. "I wish you could,
somehow, make peace. You are, after all, working at the Rockwell company."
"I know," Dyhannah replies to him. "I just wish I could erase
the smiles from their faces."
"How about you take a night off
of plotting against the Rockwell's and have dinner with me tonight?"
Dyhannah smiles back to him before she leans in and kisses him on the lips.
"I'd love that," she looks back into his eyes. "But I'm afraid
I will have to have a rain cheque; I have a business meeting at 6 that I can't
miss."
"A dinner business meeting? Should I be jealous?"
"Of course not," she winks back to him. "You're my one and
only. But this is important, and I can't miss it. You understand, don't you?"
Chase gulps back to her as he hates that his fiancé is, once again,
blowing him off so she can work for Rockwell Mining when it is clear that she
doesn't want to work there and hates the family. Still, he finds himself forcing
a smile on his face.
"I get it," he nods back to her. "But
I will take a rain cheque."
***
Later that afternoon, Chase
sits at a table in the dining room of the country club with a cobb salad in front
of him and a glass of chardonnay. He takes a sip of the wine as he thinks about
his morning encounter with Dyhannah, where she, once again, blew off having dinner
with him because she is working. What he doesn't understand is why she is continuing
to work for Rockwell Mining when she has made it perfectly clear that she can't
stand any member of the family, or anyone associate with them, for that matter.
"You look a million miles away, what are you thinking about?" Vivian
asks her former husband as she moves closer to him and sits across from him.
Chase forces a smile on his face. "You read my mind," he winks back
to her. "I was thinking how nice it would be to have a beautiful woman join
me for lunch. Do you have any plans?"
"I do not," she chuckles
back to him. "Looks like your wish came true. But seriously, Chase, you looked
like a lost puppy when I got here; please tell me that there's not more issues
between you and Dyhannah?"
Chase takes another sip of his wine before
he looks back at Vivian. "If I am being completely honest with you,"
he replies to her as he sets his wine glass down on the table. "I am beginning
to feel like I am alone in this relationship."
Vivian sighs back
to him as she is upset to hear Chase sound so depressed. "Oh Chase, I know
you've been struggling but I hate hearing this from you. Are you sure there's
nothing else you can do?"
"That's just thing," Chase admits
to her. "I have tried to tell Dyhannah my concerns, but she seems focused
on
I don't even know what. All I know is that Dyhannah is not the woman that
I proposed too or the one that I want to spend the rest of my life with right
now and I am not sure what would have to happen for that to change."
***
A short time later, Celeste moves through the dining room of the
country club wearing some grey tights and a sports bra. She is headed to the gym
to have a workout since she felt like she has been having too many comfort food
meals to help herself cope with the fact that Cole, still, seemingly wants nothing
more to do with her. She has tried everything that she can think of to get him
back, but it remains useless; he has told her that they are over and that they
can't go back.
As she exits the dining room, she happens to see Houston
sitting by himself at the bar. She recalls their last conversation, where he admitted
that Stacey left town and he was feeling rather blue by it. She finds herself
moving up to her friend.
"Hey, are you drinking alone?" she
asks him with a giggle as she approaches him.
Houston turns and looks
at Celeste, for a moment noticing that she is looking very attractive in her athletic
gear. "I wouldn't be alone if you'd join me," he winks back to her.
She continues to giggle back to him. "I would, but I am headed to the
gym to work out. I feel like I need it."
"Really? You look fine
from where I am sitting."
Celeste bites her lip as she looks back
at Houston. "That's sweet of you to say," she tells him. "You know,
with Cole and Stacey ending things with us, we are both free
and we did
have that night together
"
Houston locks eyes with her. "We
did," he chuckles. "But remember how much drama that caused because
Cole found out about it? As much as that night was a good time, Celeste, we have
to remain friends."
Celeste nods back to him quickly. "Of course,"
she waves her hand in the air. "I don't know what I was thinking."
"It's all good," he replies to her. "Go have a good workout
and blow off some that pent up steam, and you'll feel better."
"I
hope you're right," she winks back to him. "See you later."
***
"I know that it is dinner time, but I wanted to make sure
that we would not be interrupted in this meeting," Dyhannah tells Kent as
they stand in the main office of Blackmore Ltd. She had been looking forward to
their meeting all day, so now that it is happening, she wants to ensure that nothing
could interrupt them.
"I was eager to see you again myself,"
Kent admits to her as he moves to the bar and pours two brandies. "After
our last meeting, I have found myself very intrigued by what you had in mind."
"Well, I am glad that I caught your attention because I think this will
benefit both of us," Dyhannah purses her lips together.
Meanwhile,
at the elevator bay, the door to one of the elevator's opens and Lex steps off.
He makes a beeline for the main office as he wanted to talk to Kent about the
job offer; while he declined it, he hasn't been able to get the offer or idea
out of his mind and he wanted to get more information about what the position
would entail. He pauses, however, when he hears Dyhannah and Kent's voices inside
the office as the door is slightly ajar.
"Your plan," Kent passes
her the drink. "You said it would ensure that Blackmore Ltd. would return
to the top of the corporate world."
"That's correct," Dyhannah
smiles back to him. "And at the same time, we would be able to take down
the Rockwell's, once and for all. Isn't that exactly what we want?" she asks
him as Kent chuckles and takes a sip of his brandy.
Outside the office,
Lex feels the blood drain from his face as he just heard that Kent and Dyhannah
are working to take down the Rockwell family; he has no idea what they are planning,
but he now realizes that not accepting the job was the best thing he has ever
done.

Lydia opens the door to the hospital room where Nathan
is. She looks at her husband, who is resting on the small bed. She breathes a
sigh of relief when she notices that he has more color in his cheeks than the
last time that she saw him, and he doesn't have large bags under his eyes.
"You look like you are slowly getting better already," Lydia announces
to him as she moves closer to him.
"Oh Lydia," Nathan sits up
on the bed and smiles back to her. "I am so glad that you're here."
"I wanted to see how you're doing," she sits next to him. "How
are you feeling? How are they treating you?"
"I am fine,"
he nods back to her. "The doctor, she's great. I don't know what she has
done, but the voices that I was hearing, they are gone. I didn't hear them once
last night," he reveals to her. "I had the best sleep I had in weeks."
Lydia chuckles back to him. "That's good to hear, but I am also not surprised."
Nathan arches his eyebrow back to her. "Why would you say that? You know
that I had been hearing those voices telling me that I killed Mortimer for days."
"Because," Lydia locks eyes with him. "It was me the entire
time, Nathan. I planted a device in the bedroom that controlled the voices. I
made you hear those voices," she reveals to him as a wicked grin creeps over
her face and Nathan gasps back to her in horror.
