"I
I
don't think I heard you correctly," a stunned Nathan Lockhart admits to Lydia
Rockwell as they sit next to one another in the small hospital room that he is
staying in as the previous day he had been committed to the psych ward of the
health facility. Nathan, since Mortimer's death, had been hearing voices that
were telling him that he killed his father and that he was a murderer; it got
to the point where Nathan was believing the voices that he heard as he started
to mumble that he killed Mortimer. To save himself, Nathan agreed to Lydia's plan
that he should be committed; what no one anticipated, however, was that he would
be committed to the psych ward. Now, Lydia has just revealed to him that she planted
a device that made him hear the voices. "What do you mean, you planted a
device to make me hear those voices?"
Lydia's eyes sparkle back to
him, thrilled that her plan has worked. She starts to chuckle back to him. "Don't
you see, darling, I wanted you to think that you were going crazy, and guess what?
It worked like a charm!"
"I
I still don't understand,"
Nathan's lower lip quivers back to her. "Why would you want me to think that
I am crazy?"
Lydia continues to chuckle back to him. "Because
now, I am going to get everything that I wanted," she whispers back to him.
"And you, well, you're going to be stuck in here for a very, very long time."

Lexington Rockwell continues to stand outside the door of the
main office of Blackmore Ltd. as he can hear Dyhannah Cooper and Kent Blackmore
chat inside. He is reeling because he just heard Dyhannah promise to help Kent
take down the Rockwell's and Rockwell Mining; Lex is stunned because Dyhannah,
seemingly, has been doing a good job at the company, especially since the family
has been missing in action since Mortimer Rockwell's passing. To top it off, Kent
just returned to Blackmore Ltd. and he's already plotting against Rockwell Mining.
"I am curious though," Kent says as he looks back at Dyhannah before
he takes a sip of the brandy that he poured. "How do you think we can take
down the Rockwell's and the company?"
Dyhannah chuckles back to him.
"Do you remember how I first told you about Rockwell Mining working with
Natasha Calimo and Roboto?"
"Of course, I do," Kent nods
back to her as Lex moves his ear closer to the door. Lex immediately realizes
that Dyhannah is the reason that Kent told him and Houston Blackmore about his
idea to get the collaboration with Roboto; he knew that it was too good to be
true for Blackmore and Rockwell both interested in working with Roboto. "I
have to admit that the Rockwell's have a great idea there."
"Yes,
they do," Dyhannah smiles back to him. "But if you can get the collaboration,
it would be huge for Blackmore Ltd."
"I am not sure that Natasha,
or her company, will want to switch companies now," Kent admits to her.
"Unless I can give you insider information," Dyhannah whispers back
to him. "I will tell you every single move that the Rockwell's are making
with Roboto; and you,
"
"I can use it to my advantage,"
Kent smiles back to her before he starts to chuckle. "Well, Dyhannah, this
is a very interesting proposition."
"I am glad that you approve."
"I have to ask you though," Kent turns and locks eyes on her. "What
is in this for you? What do you want in return?"
Dyhannah smirks
back to him. "I thought you'd never ask
"

A
short time later, Lex moves into the country club and makes a beeline for the
bar. After hearing Dyhannah and Kent plotting in secret against Rockwell Mining,
he finds his head spinning. He orders a scotch as he fiddles with his hands. He
has no idea what he is going to do now, but he knows that he must do something.
"Hey, I was just about to grab a late dinner," Casper Ross announces
to Lex as he moves up to the bar, having seen his lover. "Want to join me?"
Lex turns to Casper, who immediately can tell that something is wrong with
him. "Hey, what is it? What's wrong?"
"Is it that obvious
that something is wrong?" Lex asks him before he takes a sip of his scotch.
"It's written all over your face," Casper nods back to him as he
sits next to him. "What happened?"
"It's a long story,"
Lex sighs back to him. "But needless to say, I have to do something about
a situation, but I have no idea what I am going to do, and that scares me."
"Hey, it can't be that bad."
"No, it is worse than
what you ever could imagine," Lex locks eyes with his lover. "And I
am caught in the middle."

The next morning, MacKenzie
Rockwell sits behind the desk in the main office of Rockwell Mining with a smile
on his face. He is thrilled that he is back in complete control of the company
because his co-CEO, Nathan, is locked up in the hospital. Now, he can focus on
his upcoming collaboration with Natasha Calimo and Roboto; he hasn't been so excited
by a project at work, possibly ever as he knows it could be a huge game changer.
He pours himself a cup of coffee and then moves back to his desk. He sits
down and picks up the phone, quickly dialing a number.
"Good morning
Natasha," he says into the phone, as the CEO of Roboto picks up her phone.
"It's Mac Rockwell calling."
"Mac, good morning,"
Natasha smiles into the phone from her office in Twin Peaks. "I was just
thinking about you, as a matter of fact."
"Good thoughts, I
hope," Mac chuckles back to her.
"Very good," Natasha giggles
to him. "I was hoping that we could connect on the pink rose diamond. Have
you been able to uncover the diamond? I know that this was, likely, going to be
the delay but I don't want that to delay our project."
"I can
tell by the sound of your voice, I can tell that you're excited about this project
of ours."
"I am very excited," Natasha tells him. "I
just hope obtaining the diamond won't be an issue."
"That's
part of the reason why I am calling," Mac reveals to her. "I got an
update from my team this morning; they are breaking ground in northern Canada
later today. I am hoping by the end of the week we will have confirmation that
we have the pink diamonds in our hands."
"Excellent," Natasha
replies to her. "This is the perfect way for me to start my day!"
***
"Now that we are in agreement, we can move in with the plan
of attack," Dyhannah looks back at Kent as they continue to stand in his
office at Blackmore Ltd. "The piece is, Kent, Mac and the Rockwell's have
already been in contact with Natasha Calimo and her company, Roboto."
"Yes, I am aware of that," Kent nods back to her. "That means
that we have to act quickly."
"You said that you knew Natasha's
father," Dyhannah replies to him. "Maybe it's time that you contact
her and let her know that Bob would have wanted Roboto to work with Blackmore
Ltd. and not Rockwell Mining."
Kent chuckles back to her. "I
will do just that," he tells her. "You better go before someone sees
us together, but Dyhannah, I will be in touch with you, and you, you make sure
you keep me posted on every move that Mac and Rockwell Mining makes."
***
A short time later, Houston Blackmore opens the door to Kent's
office and moves inside. While he isn't thrilled that Kent is back at work because
it means he is no longer the CEO of Blackmore Ltd, he does want to make an honest
effort with his father so they can get along while they work together.
"Dad,
I am glad that you're here," Houston announces to his father. "We need
to talk."
Kent, who has his phone in his hand, looks up at his son
before he places the phone back down. "Houston, what is it? I was just about
to make an important business call."
"This won't take long,"
Houston replies to him. "I wanted to talk to you about the working arrangements
at Blackmore now that you're back."
"The working arrangements?"
Kent asks him with a chuckle. "I am the CEO, and you will report to me. I
don't think that's up for discussion?"
Houston chuckles back to him.
"You're right, it's not. What I am telling you, however, is that I don't
want that to come between us. Yes, I was CEO and yes, I was doing a fantastic
job, but I want us to work together to make Blackmore the best company it can
be. I don't want the fact that I am no longer CEO to come between us and the company."
"I am impressed with that Houston," Kent tells his son. "And
thank you, I do think we can make this company the best ever."
"I
bet you do," Lex's voice booms at the doorway of the office. "I know
what you're up too, what you're both up too."
"What are you
talking about?" Houston asks Lex before he looks back at Kent, who crosses
his arms over his chest.
"You know damn well what I'm talking about,"
Lex glares back at his half-brother. "And I'm here to tell you that I won't
stand by and let this happen. I refuse to let this go down the way you think it
will."

MOSCOW, RUSSIA
"The wire, it is secure?"
Deacon Cooper asks Sabine Andrews, who is standing in the mirror making sure she
looks fine as she is about to return to the Kremlin this morning so she can try
to see if Marat Kafelinkov is there. They, with Quinn Cunningham, are still hoping
that Sabine can convince Marat that Quinn is happy that baby Jumper is done because
she has been able to live her life again. To ensure that Marat doesn't pull anything
dangerous with them, Sabine has agreed to wear a wire so Deacon and Quinn can
hear everything that is going on.
"Yes, I believe it is," Sabine
purses her lips together before she turns and looks at Deacon. "Thank you,
again, for all your help with this Deacon. I really appreciate it, and I know
Quinn does too."
"It's my pleasure," Deacon smiles back
to her. "I just hope that this works."
"I won't stop until
it does," Sabine tells him. "I will do everything in my power to ensure
my daughter gets her son back, my grandson back."
"I know, and
I will tell Quinn that. I am just glad that she's in the other room getting some
rest," Deacon says back to her. "She has been on pins and needles for
weeks since Jumper was kidnapped."
"You're a good friend to
my daughter," Sabine looks back at him. "She's lucky to have you. Give
her my love when she wakes okay? I don't want to wait until she is up to head
to the Kremlin. The sooner I see Marat, the sooner we can get Jumper back."
"Alright, I'll be listening," Deacon chuckles back to her. "I'd
wish you luck, but you don't need it. You'll be amazing."
***
A short time later, Quinn opens the door from the secondary suite that is
connected to the hotel room where she, Sabine and Deacon are staying. She yawns
a little as she sees Deacon sitting at a table with some headphones in his ears.
Deacon takes the headphones out as Quinn moves to the bar and pours herself a
cup of coffee.
"Morning," Deacon says as he stands up and looks
at Quinn. "Were you able to finally get some rest?"
"Some,
I suppose," Quinn responds to him as she turns and looks at him. "You
had your headphones in; does that mean that my mother has already left for the
Kremlin?"
"She left maybe 25 minutes ago," Deacon informs
her. "She didn't want to wait to get to the Kremlin before you woke up; she
didn't want to risk missing Marat again today."
"That's fair,"
Quinn tells him. "I just hope it works today."
"Hey,"
Deacon moves closer to her and grabs her hand. "This will work; I have faith
in that."
"You're so positive," she replies as she gets
tears in her eyes. "I wish I was like you."
"You're worried
about your son," Deacon looks into her eyes. "That's normal. But this
will work, I know it will."
A single tear falls down Quinn's cheek
and Deacon quickly wipes it away. "You know," Deacon whispers to her.
"Even though your sad and crying, you're still the most beautiful woman I
know."
Quinn feels her cheeks flush. "You're sweet."
"I'm honest," Deacon says licking his lips before he leans in and
kisses her quickly. "I am in your corner, never forget that."
***
"I really appreciate you having lunch with me today," Vivian Blackmore
tells Chase Cooper as they sit across from one another at the country club. Vivian
knows that with Kent returning to Blackmore Ltd. she will have more time on her
hands now, and she realizes that Chase has been feeling isolated in his relationship
with Dyhannah because of her new job at Rockwell Mining.
"I would
never turn down the invite to have a meal with a beautiful woman, especially once
that I consider a friend," Chase responds to her.
Vivian chuckles
back to him. "I appreciate the compliment," she nods back to him. "And
if I am honest, you've been on my mind. I am still concerned about you and Dyhannah."
"We have to make a rule at today's lunch," Chase looks back at her
before he takes a sip of his white wine. "And that is that we do not speak
about my relationship with Dyhannah. I don't want to bring you down again, even
though I appreciate you being here for me."
"I can follow that
rule," Vivian chuckles. "But as long as you know that I am here for
you, if you ever need me."
"I appreciate that more than you
know," Chase tells her as he reaches over and grabs her hand and squeezes
it.
Dyhannah, meanwhile, moves into the country club feeling like she
is on cloud nine; her meeting with Kent went better than expected and now they
are working together to take down Rockwell Mining and the family attached to the
company, which is exactly what she wants. She freezes, however, when she sees
Vivian and Chase together at the table. She feels her blood boil at the sight
of Chase's hand on top of his former wife's hand. Quickly, she recalls how this
isn't the first time that she has seen them in proximity recently. She sighs to
herself before she leaves, wondering if something is going on with Chase and Vivian.

Lucinda slowly moves closer towards the hospital room where her
son is. She takes a deep breath before she peers through the window and sees Levi
laying on the small bed in the room. She, still, can't believe that he is in a
psychiatric ward at a hospital; she hates that it has come to this.
She
opens the door which causes Nathan to look at his mother. "Mother,"
he leans up on the bed. "Thank God you're here."
Lucinda moves
to the bed and sits next to him before she pulls him into a hug. "They said
that I can only stay for a few minutes. Apparently, they are taking you for some
more tests."
"We don't have much time then," Nathan looks
back at her in a panic. "You have to help me. I have
I have to get out
of here."
"Oh darling," Lucinda whispers back to him. "You
will get out of here, once you're healthy. But we have to let the doctors help
you first."
"But that's the thing," Nathan pleads with
her. "Lydia was here earlier, and she
that woman is a monster! She did
this to me, mother! This was all Lydia!"
"I know that it was
her idea to have you come to the hospital," Lucinda replies to him. "And
I thank her for that."
"You don't understand," Nathan continues
to plead with her. "Lydia planted a device in the bedroom at the Rockwell
Mansion; she made me hear those voices mother! I'm fine
Lydia set me up!"
"Oh Levi," Lucinda gasps back to him. "I hate seeing you this
way. You
You are further gone than I ever imagined."
"No,
mother, please
please believe me! Lydia did this to me! Lydia is the crazy
one! Not me! I'm not crazy!"
Lucinda looks back at him as her eyes
open wider; she has never seen her son this way before, but she can't help but
think that he is slowly losing his mind.
She stands up and moves away
from him. "I'm going to get the doctor to give you something to help calm
you down," she tells him. "I'll be back, okay?"
"Please,"
Nathan continues to plead with her. "Please listen to me! This is all Lydia's
fault! This is Lydia's doing!"

Mac sits behind his desk
at Rockwell Mining typing into his computer. After he his call with Natasha Calimo,
Mac is feeling more excited about their collaboration than ever before. He is
eager to make this project the best it can possibly be, and he won't allow anything
to get in the way of that. With Mortimer's passing, Mac is feeling like he wants
to ensure he makes Rockwell Mining the best company it can possibly be; it is
the best way for him to honor his father's legacy.
"You look busy,"
a voice calls out at the office doorway. Mac looks up and sees Lydia standing
in front of him. "But I'm afraid you will have to make time for me."
"I always can make time for you," he replies to his former wife
as he stands up and looks at her. "What brings you by?"
"This
has to do with Nathan and Rockwell Mining," Lydia purses her lips together
as she moves closer to the desk. "As you know, Nathan is my husband and he
is, currently, incapacitated."
"Yes, have you heard anything
from Nathan's doctors about when he could be released?"
"I don't
think that will happen anytime soon," Lydia replies to him. "They are
still worried about him hearing those voices that were telling him he killed Mortimer."
"Maybe that's because he did kill our father?" Mac suggests back
to her.
"That remains to be seen," Lydia says back to him. "In
any event, I've just come from seeing my lawyer and I've exercised my right to
execute Nathan's power of attorney, which means I have taken over his affairs."
"I see," Mac nods back to her. "I suppose that makes sense.
I am not sure what that means for me, however?"
Lydia chuckles back
to him. "I don't think I need to remind you that prior to his medical issues,
Nathan was co-CEO of Rockwell Mining," Lydia tells him with a grin on her
face. "Since I am now his power of attorney, I am, officially, the co-CEO
with you. We are going to be working together, Mac."
Mac looks back
at her in surprise as he hadn't realized that Lydia was going to take this route.
"You look surprised, darling," she chuckles back to him. "After
all these years, aren't you happy that we are going to be working together?"
"I'm
I'm just surprised," Mac admits to her. "But I suppose
there's nothing I can about this right now, so, let's get down to work."

Cole Rockwell moves into the living room of the Rockwell mansion
where he sees his brother, Lexington, about to pour himself a glass of white wine.
Cole clears his throat, so Lex knows that he is there.
"Oh, Cole,
hey," Lex turns and looks at his older brother. "Do you want a glass
of wine?"
"Nah, I'm good," Cole replies to him. "How
are things with you and Casper?"
Lex takes a sip of his wine as he
thinks about his relationship with Casper Ross and how well it is going, despite
Casper's past affair with Cole. "It's going well," he admits to him.
"We are finally in a good place."
"I'm happy to hear that,"
Cole replies to him. "I know you struggled for a while because of my relationship
with him, but that ended a long time ago."
"Casper and I are
happy," Lex tells him. "That being said, I am feeling torn about something."
Cole looks back at him with an arched eyebrow. "Mac told me that you
had received a job offer from Kent; are you thinking about going back to work
at Blackmore?"
Lex gulps back to him as he recalls how he heard Kent
and Dyhannah talking about their plan to take down Rockwell Mining and the Rockwell's;
he just doesn't know what he should do about it, because he doesn't know how he
can stop their plan.
"I can tell that you are considering it,"
Cole doesn't let his brother respond. "So, let me give you some advice,"
he continues as Lex locks eyes with him. "Mac needs your support right now,
more than ever before. With Mortimer's death, we all need to be supporting each
other right now. So please, don't leave Rockwell Mining, not when our father needs
us the most."
***
"Are you absolutely sure that we can
trust Dyhannah?" Houston asks Kent as he pours himself a scotch in the main
office of Blackmore Ltd. Houston just finished hearing from Kent that Dyhannah
is going to feed them information from Rockwell Mining; he is excited by the prospects
of Blackmore Ltd. taking back control of the corporate world, but he doesn't know
if they can believe everything that Dyhannah is telling them.
"I
don't see why she would give us reason not to trust her," Kent replies to
his son. "She is the one that came to me with this idea; she wouldn't have
done that if she didn't really want to help us."
"That is a
fair point," Houston nods back to her. "So, the idea is that we are
going to poach Roboto from working with Rockwell Mining? We are going to convince
Natasha Calimo to work with us instead?"
"That can't happen,"
Lex announces at the door of the main office. "I know about this plan of
yours, and it has to end, now."
Houston and Kent look at one another
before they look back at in surprise before they redirect their attention back
to Lex. "Lex, with all due respect," Houston looks at his half-brother.
"You don't work here, so you don't really get to tell us how to run our business.
This is a chance, a golden opportunity, for Blackmore Ltd. to get back on top
of the game. We are going to take this chance!"
Lex shakes his head
back to them. "I
I won't let you guys get away with this," he tells
them. "You won't get away with trying to steal the deal with Roboto from
Rockwell Mining and to try to bring down the Rockwell's. This ends, and it ends
now."

MOSCOW, RUSSIA
Sabine steps off the elevator
at the Kremlin and takes a deep breath. She is hoping that she can track down
Marat today because she needs to find Jumper. She knows that the longer Jumper
is away from Quinn, the harder it will be to readjust to being back with his mother.
"Nothing will stop me from getting you back," she whispers to herself
as she moves towards Marat's office. She braces herself for seeing the man that
has kidnapped her grandson. She opens the door and sees Marat at the desk.
Marat hears the door open to the office, so he looks up and arches his eyebrow.
"Sabine Andrews," he says as he stands up and crosses his arms over
his muscular chest. "I would say I am surprised, but I can't say that I am."
"Hello Marat," Sabine purses her lips together as she moves closer
to him. "It's been a while, but I am glad that you're here."
"What
do I owe this visit, Sabine? Or do I need to ask?" he asks her quickly. "Did
Quinn send you?"
"Quinn?" Sabine arches her eyebrow. "No,
this has nothing to do with my daughter. She's
she's enjoying a new chapter
of her life."
He looks back at her in surprise. "What does that
mean?"
"It means," Sabine's eyes twinkle back to him. "Quinn
went back to New York. Losing Jumper was the best thing that's ever happened to
her; she is living her best life, and we owe that all to you."
Marat
starts to chuckle back at her. "Cut the bullshit," he looks back at
her with intent. "Tell me what you want before I call security."

Back at the hotel, Deacon looks back into Quinn's eyes as they
just shared a kiss with one another. Quinn quickly moves away from him as she
moves a piece of her hair behind her ear.
"I'm sorry," she whispers
back to him as she turns and looks at him. "The last thing that we should
be doing right now is making out."
Deacon
chuckles back to her nervously. "Does that mean that you didn't enjoy the
kiss?"
"I didn't say that," Quinn purses her lisp together.
"It's just
my focus needs to be on my mother and Jumper."
"You're
still a woman, Quinn," Deacon looks back at her with lust in his eyes. "You
still have your own needs. It doesn't make you a bad person because you are taking
some time for you, even though Jumper is still missing."
"I
guess the kiss was a nice escape, even just for a moment."
"Then
let me take your mind off things for a while longer?" he asks as he moves
closer to her. "I want you, Quinn. And I know you want me."
Quinn
looks back at him before she succumbs to his advances and they end up kissing
again. Soon, his lips find her neck and she starts to moan softly.
"Make
love to me," she whispers to him as she starts to unbutton his shirt, which
reveals his firm chest. "I need you so badly."

"Lexington,
wait," Kent calls out to his biological son, who is moving towards the elevators
at Blackmore Ltd. Kent is rushing after his son in hopes of getting him not to
expose his plan with Dyhannah to bring Blackmore Ltd. back to the top. "We
have to talk."
Lex turns to face Kent, feeling his blood boiling.
"Why? So, you can convince me not to say anything to Mac about your plan
with Dyhannah? It's not going to happen!"
"Please, if you just
hear me out," Kent pleads with him. "After being away from the company
for so long I am really just trying to pull out all the stops; I am trying to
make a big splash with Blackmore Ltd. and my return, can't you see that?"
"I can see that," Lex nods back to him. "But at what expense?
My family and Rockwell Mining? No, Kent I can't allow this to continue. This has
to end."
"Lexington, please
"
"No, Kent,"
he glares back at him. "You have to do the right thing; you are smart enough
to bring this company back to the forefront without tearing down Rockwell Mining
and working with Dyhannah Cooper! Don't you see, you're getting in over your head
and you just got back to work! You can make a difference without being underhanded,
Kent. That's all I'm saying."

Cole opens the door to
the main office at Rockwell Mining and freezes when he sees both of his parents
at the desk, looking at a folder. He arches his eyebrow at the sight but finds
himself moving closer to them.
"What is going on here?" he asks
with a chuckle as Mac and Lydia look back at their eldest son. "Mom, why
are you looking at Rockwell Mining files with Dad?"
Lydia chuckles
back to him. "I suppose you, and everyone else, will find out sooner than
later."
"Find out what? What, exactly, is going on here?"
"Your mother is the new co-CEO of Rockwell Mining," Mac reveals
to Cole, who gasps back in shock. "Now that Nathan has been committed, your
mother has executed her power of attorney, which means she is, effectively, in
control of all of Nathan's assets, and that also includes his position here at
the company."
"I
I had no idea," a dumbfounded Cole
admits to them. "Dad, how do you feel about that? I thought you were excited
at the idea of running Rockwell Mining without any
uh
interference?"
Mac chuckles back to him. "The news took me by surprise," Mac tells
him and Lydia. "But I have warmed to the idea. After all, Lydia has been
around the company for years; she can bring some great ideas to the table."
"This is great," Cole smiles back to his parents. "All of us
working together; I sense that grandfather would be very happy right now."

Dyhannah slowly walks up to the Blackmore mansion. She hasn't
been able to stop thinking about the fact that she saw Vivian and Chase at the
country club earlier in the day in an embrace. She knows that Chase has a long,
sorted, history with Vivian, and that troubles her because the last thing she
wants is for her to lose her fiancé to his former wife.
She rings
the doorbell and sees Vivian look at her in surprise when she sees Dyhannah standing
there. "Dyhannah, you're the last person I was expecting to show up on my
doorstep."
Dyhannah chuckles back to her as she moves into the foyer
of the mansion. "I can imagine," she purses her lips together as she
turns to face her former rival. "It's been a while, Vivian. I trust that
you're well?"
"I'm fine," Vivian replies to her quickly.
"But I somehow don't think that this is social visit; so why don't you tell
me what this is really about?"
Dyhannah continues to chuckle back
to her. "You caught me, I do have an ulterior motive. I
I need a favor
from you."
"A favor? From me? What could I possibly do for you?"
"It's about Chase," Dyhannah reveals to her as Vivian arches her
eyebrow. "I need your help with my fiancé."
***
"How
did you visit with Levi go?" Dane asks Lucinda as he moves into the living
room of the Rockwell mansion and sees his fiancé sitting on the sofa with
a glass of red wine in her hand.
Lucinda sighs back to him as she recalls
how Nathan was telling her that Lydia set up him by planting a device that made
him hear the voices that he was hearing. She didn't realize how far gone her son
had become, but he was talking and acting absolutely crazy.
"The
hospital is the best place for him right now," she sighs back to him. "It
was difficult to see him that way, but I am glad he's there. I just hope the doctors
can understand what happened and help him get better."
Dane sits
next to her and puts his hand on her thigh. "I have faith that they will
be able to help him," he nods back to her. "And it is good that you
went to support him. He needs to feel his family by his side right now."
"I won't leave his side," Lucinda replies to him. "But we do
need to know if he did anything to Mortimer. We all need the answers. Anyways,
how has your day been?"
Dane chuckles back to her. "I had a
run in with that barracuda at the country club."
"This town
has a few of those, so you'll have to be more specific about which one you encountered,"
Lucinda chuckles.
"Dyhannah Cooper," he reveals to her as Lucinda
rolls her eyes. "And I am beginning to think that you're right; she has no
morals, and we should do everything in our power to ensure that isn't in our lives
any longer than she has to be."

"Are you going to answer

office at the Kremlin. "What are you really doing here, Sabine? Why did you

"I
was hoping we could do business together," Sabine replies him as she feels
her palms get sweaty.
