Marat
Kafelinkov moves into country club and immediately moves up to the bar. He has
been home from New York for a couple of hours and would love to have a drink to
go over his thoughts about everything that he learned while he was away. He is
still reeling from Houston Blackmore's revelation that Dyhannah Cooper is still
in love with her ex-husband, Chase Cooper as he believed that they were growing
closer and moving into a real relationship. The fact that he has been her placeholder
is a hard pill for him to swallow because he had been enjoying her company. After
dropping this bombshell on him, Houston suggested that Marat romance Carmen Santos;
he doesn't understand Houston's motives completely, but Houston did indicate that
if Marat didn't follow up with this, he might not renew his contract at Blackmore
Ltd. While Marat knows he could get other contracts elsewhere, he wants to stay
in Kelsey Lake because his children are here.
"You're back,"
a voice calls out as Marat takes a sip of his whiskey sour at the bar. He turns
and sees Dyhannah approaching him. "Why didn't I get a phone call or text
that you were coming home?"
"Would you have really cared, Dyhannah?"
he spits back to her.
"Of course," Dyhannah looks back at him
in surprise. "Why would you ask me that?"
"Because,"
Marat looks at her with intent. "I know how you really feel, so you can stop
pretending."
"I have no idea what you're talking about."
"Chase," he says back to her. "He's the man you're in love
with. You've been using me to keep your bed warm but have been longing for your
ex-husband. Don't try to deny it, I can see it written on your face."
Dyhannah's mouth falls open slightly as she has no idea how Marat could have
found out about her feelings for Chase. "I
I won't deny that I care
about Chase, yes. But, that doesn't mean I haven't enjoyed our time together."
"But, I was never long term plan," Marat hisses back to her. "I
get it. It's best that we end this now before someone gets hurt."
Dyhannah puts her hand on his back. "For what it's worth, I am sorry Marat.
You're good man. And, I hope we can be friends."
Marat chuckles
before he takes another sip of his drink. When he doesn't back at Dyhannah, she
slowly moves away from him. He turns and sees her walking away out of the country
club.
"That doesn't look it went very well," a woman's voice
says from the other end of the bar. "Can I get you a drink?"
Marat turns and sees Carmen sitting alone with a martini in front of her. He smiles
back to her, immediately realizing that Houston was right: Carmen is a beautiful
woman.
"Only if I can buy you one after that," he winks back
to her as he scoots over and sits next to her. "How are you doing, Carmen?"
"I'll be better once we finish this drink together," she chuckles
back to him as she lifts her glass and toasts his whiskey sour.

"This is unbelievable," Vivian Blackmore pours herself a stiff
vodka drink as she stands in the living room of her large mansion. Behind her
is her fiancé, Chase Cooper, and together they are reeling from their daughter's,
Madison Stewart, visit with them earlier in the day, where she revealed that unless
her parents split up, Madi would go to the police and reveal that Chase got money
from Kent Blackmore years earlier to help win the election and in turn, Chase
allowed Kent to mine on restricted properties. Just when Vivian thought that they
had seen the last of being blackmailed for this information, Madi had to go and
do this. "Madi is out of control! How the hell can she do this to us? We
are her parents for crying out loud!"
"I know," Chase
shakes his head back to her. "But you heard her, she is still furious with
us for setting up Cole to make it look like he was cheating on her. She hasn't
forgiven us yet and now, she wants revenge."
"I truly believed
that once we overcame Dyhannah's blackmail that we would be together, Chase,"
Vivian admits to him. "And now, we have to deal with Madi? It hurts that
our own daughter wants us to split up."
"I don't believe she
actually does," Chase tells her. "She's hurt by our actions."
"Well, we have to get through to her," Vivian says back to him.
"I don't this to stop us from getting married."
"I know
but the fact is," Chase looks at her with intent. "I don't want to risk
going to jail or exposing Kent for something that happened so long ago."
"What are you saying? You're going to give into Madi's demands? You're
not going to marry me?"
"Not until we get this under control,"
Chase tells her. "We have to get our daughter back before she ruins everything,
Vivian."
***
A short time later, Vivian storms off the
elevator at Blackmore Ltd. and moves towards Madi's office. She arrives at the
doorway and sees her daughter sitting behind her desk.
"We need
to talk," Vivian announces as she slams the door closed, causing Madi to
look up and sigh at her mother.
"I think I said everything that
I had to say at the mansion," Madi tells her as she returns her focus to
her paperwork.
"You have to hear me out," Vivian moves closer
to the desk. "After everything we have been through, I can't believe that
you are blackmailing your father and I. Have you lost your mind completely?"
"Have you?" Madi stands up and glares at her mother. "You
and Chase drugged Cole, put him in your bed and then you put a fucking wig on
your head to make it appear that he slept with another woman. Does that sound
like the thought process of a rationale human being?"
"We were
trying to protect you!"
"From what? The man that I love? You're
sick and twisted if you think that you can justify what you did, Vivian,"
Madi sneers at her. "You know what? I'm done with this conversation! You
betrayed me and this a little thing called karma!"

"So, I did it," Sabine Andrews announces as she moves into the living
room of the New York apartment that she lives in with Nathan Lockhart. She can
see that her lover is looking at something intently but she wants to tell him
that she called her sister, Lydia Rockwell, and revealed that Stacey Rockwell
is also in the Big Apple. "Nathan, did you hear me?"
Nathan
looks up from the book he has in his hands and over at Sabine. "Sorry, I
was lost in my thoughts. What were you saying?"
"Just that
I called Lydia and told her about Stacey," Sabine replies to him quickly.
"But, that's not important right now. What is going on with you?"
Nathan signs. "I haven't told you much about my family," he tells
her as she moves closer to him. "But, I called my mother the other day. I
hadn't spoken to her in years; I guess all the discussion of Lydia and Stacey
made me think of her."
"I assumed your parents had passed away
since you never mentioned them," Sabine admits to him as she sits next to
him. "I am sorry that you're not close to your Mom. Do you want to tell me
what happened?"
"It is a very long story," Nathan admits
to her. "Needless to say, I was the black sheep of the family and attempted
to emancipate myself from the situation."
"Oh my," Sabine
gasps back to him. "I didn't think it would have gotten that serious. Is
that a picture of her? Can I see her?"
Nathan hesitates for a moment
and then passes the photo album to Sabine. She grabs the book and immediately
looks at the picture in shock.
"Is this some kind of sick joke?"
she asks him quickly as she stands up from the sofa.
"Why would
me opening up to you about my family be a joke?"
"Your mother
is Lucinda Rockwell?"
Nathan slowly nods back to her. "She
is. Do you know her?"
Sabine arches her eyebrow back to him. "That
might be the understatement of the year," she tries to chuckle back to him.

"Knock, knock," Celeste Baldwin opens the door to
Mac Rockwell's office door at Rockwell Mining and moves inside pushing Charlotte's
baby stroller. "I hope I'm not interrupting but your daughter wanted to surprise
you with lunch."
Mac looks up from the mountain of paper work that
rests on his desk and smiles at the sight of his fiancé and newborn child
moving into his office. "I can certainly make time for my two favorite girls,"
Mac smiles as he stands up from behind his desk. He swiftly moves up to Celeste
and gives her a kiss on the lips. "How is Charlotte this morning?"
"She's been a bit fussier than usual," Celeste admits to him. "I
suspect she's starting to get a tooth but otherwise, she is great."
Mac peers into the stroller and sees his daughter squirming around. "Hey
you," he puts his finger up against the child. "Thank you for coming
to see me for lunch. You and your Mommy are so special to me."
Celeste
feels her eyes swell with water listening to Mac talk to their daughter; she realizes
that this is exactly why she has been fighting so hard to keep her family intact.
She just has to ensure that Carmen accepts the next offer that Mac presents her
or that Houston Blackmore's plan to distract Carmen works because she can't lose
her family, she won't.
Mac looks back and sees Celeste getting teary
eyed. "Hey, what's wrong? Are you okay?"
Celeste smiles back
to him as a tear falls down her cheek. "I'm fine," she wipes her cheek
dry. "I just don't want to lose this Mac."
"You won't
lose me or this family," he looks into her eyes. "I love you and that
will never change, okay?"
***
Houston Blackmore opens the
door to the main office at Blackmore Ltd and immediately closes it behind himself.
He locks the door and then moves up to the bar; he hours himself a tall brandy
and takes a large sip of it as he tries to control his heartbeat.
He
feels some sweat still forming on his forehead as he thinks back to being at Lucinda
Rockwell's mansion when his half-brother, Lex Rockwell, confronted him about overhearing
him and Celeste talk about switching Stacey Rockwell's baby with Celeste's. He
thought that going to Lucinda's would have been a safe space to have a conversation
with Celeste about their plan to get Mac and Stacey back, respectively, but it
all went to hell quickly when Lex revealed himself.
Houston closes his
eyes for a moment and can see the anger and pain in Lex's eyes as he confronted
him. Houston opens his eyes and takes another sip of his brandy.
"I
did what I had to do," he whispers to himself. "I just hope to God it
was the right thing to do."

"I can't believe that
Sabine found Stacey in New York," Kent Blackmore tells Lydia as he pours
himself a cup of coffee in the living room of the penthouse that he lives in with
Lydia Rockwell. "You must be relieved to know where she is."
"I am," Lydia nods back to her lover. "I asked Sabine to look out
for Stacey because I am worried that if I go to New York, I will push her away
even more. The last thing I want to do is crowd by daughter when she is grieving."
"Do you want me to go to New York?" Kent asks her quickly before
taking a sip of his coffee. While he tries to deny it to himself, the thought
of seeing Stacey again is something he longs for. "I could make sure that
she is doing okay for the entire family."
"I'm not sure that
is the best idea either," Lydia admits to him as Kent feels his heart sink.
"I wonder if Cole or Lexington will go? She has always been close to her
brothers. That might feel more organic than her parents rushing to see if she
is okay."
"With Cole busy planning his wedding to Madison,
I'm not sure he will want to leave right now," Kent suggests to her. "Lexington
might be the best option. Do you know if he and Stacey made amends after Lex changed
her paternity test results?"
"Yes, I believe they were close
again especially after Lex almost died in Cabo," Lydia informs him. "I
think you're right, I will call Lex and ask him to go to New York."
Lydia moves over to her large purse and pulls out her cell phone. She puts the
phone to her head after she dials Lex's number.
She looks back at Kent.
"Damn it, it went straight to his voicemail," she tells Kent. "Lex,
it's your mother. Please call me back as soon as you get this, it's of the very
important."
***
"You were certainly eager today,"
Cole Rockwell chuckles over to his fiancé, Madison Stewart, as they lay
next to one another in the large bed in his bedroom of the Rockwell mansion. They
just finished making love to one another and he could tell that she was extra
feisty this morning.
"I wanted my fiancé," Madi purses
her lips together. "Is that so bad?"
"Of course not,"
Cole looks over at her. "It was great. And soon, we will be making love as
husband and wife."
"I can't wait to be your wife," Madi
admits back to him. "After everything we have been through, we deserve to
have some happiness."
"I couldn't agree more," Cole leans
in and kisses her. "And, don't worry, nothing will ever come between us again,
Madi. We are going to be together, forever."
***
A short
time later, Cole moves into the living room of the Rockwell mansion and walks
towards the bar where he pours himself a cup of coffee. He turns around when he
hears someone else move into the living room.
"Grant, hi,"
Cole says as he sees Grant Shaw moving into the living room. "Are you here
to see my grandmother?"
"I am," Grant nods back to him.
"We are going to continue to work on her memoir today."
"How
is that going? I can only imagine some of the stories that my grandmother has."
Grant chuckles back to him. "You have no idea," he admits to him.
"Did you know
actually, no never mind."
Cole arches his
eyebrow back to him. "What? You can ask me anything, what did my grandmother
say that you want clarified?"
"She said she had another son,"
Grant reveals to him as Cole looks back at him in surprise. "Did you know
that you had an uncle?"
Cole shakes his head in disbelief at what
Grant just told him. "Why would you ask me that? I think I would know if
I had an uncle. There must be some kind of mistake; Lucinda would have said something
if she had another son! Why would she have lied about this for years?"
"I wish I knew," Grant looks back at him. "But, Lucinda showed
me a picture of him and she was visibly upset. I hate to be the one to tell you
this, Cole, but you have an uncle out there. Maybe more than one?"
***
Chase Cooper sits at a table in the country club looking at the screen
of his laptop. He reads the fine print on an PDF contract that he is reviewing
and gets a sly grin on his face. Ever since he saw Cole in a lip lock with Casper
Ross, Chase's mind has been racing about how he can leverage what he witnessed,
and now, he thinks he found the perfect way.
He picks up his whiskey
sour and takes a sip of it as he presses the send button on his laptop.
"You won't know what hit you," he whispers to himself. "And, when
this is all said and done, you, Madison, will learn the biggest lesson of all."
***
Meanwhile, at the bar of the country club, Marat Kafelinkov
sits at the bar with a Manhattan in front of him. He pretends to check his phone
but really he is hoping that Carmen Santos comes by so he can continue to pursue
her. At first when Houston suggested this to him, Marat was skeptical but he can't
help but know that he enjoyed his first encounter with the Latina woman.
"You weren't waiting for me, were you?" a voice calls out from behind
him.
Marat turns and gets a grin on his face when he sees Carmen approaching
him. "I'll never tell if I was," he winks back to her. "But, this
is one of my favorite spots in town and I know that you're staying upstairs, so
I knew the odds were in my favor."
Carmen chuckles back to him as
she sits next to him. "That drinks looks really delicious."
"Order one, and anything you want to eat," Marat tells her. "Lunch
can be on me."
"A lunch date?" Carmen asks him as she
looks back at him. "I think I can get behind that."
"Good,"
Marat looks into her eyes. "Cause, I like spending time with you Carmen.
I really do."
"You might have to prove that to me."
Marat chuckles back to her before he leans up and kisses her on the lips.
"There, how's that?"
"A very good start," she purrs back to him.

Kent
steps off the elevator at Rockwell Mining and moves quickly towards Mac's office.
As he approaches the door, Celeste scurries out of the office with Charlotte in
tow. He pauses at the sight as he recalls how connected he felt to the baby a
few days earlier when he ran into them at the country club. Kent finds himself
moving up towards her.
"Celeste, hi," Kent says to her. "How
is Charlotte today?"
"She just fell asleep after we have some
food with Mac," Celeste replies to him. "You seem to have grown fond
of my daughter?"
"Is it that obvious?" Kent chuckles back
to her. "I guess losing Poppy just made me realize how precious children
are, you know?"
"What the hell is going on here?" Mac
asks as he emerges from his office and sees Kent and Celeste together. "Why
are you talking to my fiancé?"
"Mac, it's okay,"
Celeste looks back at him. "Kent was just saying hi to Charlotte and I."
"I don't care what the hell he was doing," Mac glares back at Kent.
"You have caused enough problems for me and my family over the years. You
stay the hell away from my daughter, or you will answer to me, do you understand
me?"
Kent gulps back to him. "Perfectly," he rolls his
eyes back to him. "Sorry I bothered you, Celeste."
"You
take care of yourself, Kent," Celeste forces a smile on her face. "Bye
darling," she looks at Mac before she walks away quickly.
"Now
that you've puffed out your chest in front of Celeste, I need to talk to you,"
Kent looks back at Mac. "Have you heard from Lexington? Lydia and I haven't
been able to get a hold of him."
Mac shakes his head back to him.
"Not for a few days, why do you ask?"
"We were just needed
to speak to him, that's all," Kent replies to him. "If you hear from
him, please tell him to call his mother."

NEW YORK
CITY
"I just can't believe you never put together that I was talking
about the Rockwell family when I was speaking about Lydia and Stacey," Sabine
tells Nathan as she pours herself a brandy in the living room of their Manhattan
apartment. She is still reeling from the fact that Lucinda is Nathan's mother;
never in a million years did she expect that Nathan would be related to the family
that has been such a huge part of her life the last few years.
"To
be honest, I tried to disconnect myself from the family as much as possible,"
Nathan reveals to her. "I never kept up with Lucinda or what my brother did.
So, when you said Lydia and Stacey, the names didn't really mean much to me."
"Stacey is your niece," Sabine gasps back to him. "You have
to forgive me, this is all so much to take in," she tells him as she takes
another sip of her drink. "I can't believe that I am in a relationship with
Mac's brother and Lucinda's son. You have no idea the history I have with the
family."
"Your sister was married to Mac? She is the mother
of Stacey? Do they have more children?"
"Yes," Sabine
nods back to him. "Cole is their oldest, then Stacey. Lexington is the youngest,
but that is complicated. Can I ask you why you emancipated yourself from the Rockwell's?"
"It is a long story," he reveals to her. "But, needless
to say because I was the second child, my father treated me like a second class
citizen. Everything was built for MacKenzie and they didn't give a fuck what happened
to me. Rockwell Mining was Mac's legacy, not mine. So, finally, I had enough and
I left. I never looked back."
"I am so sorry you had to go
through that," Sabine tells him. "I just can't believe that you walked
away from your family just like that."
"It wasn't 'just like
that'," he sternly reveals to her. "It was after years of feeling like
I didn't belong. I couldn't do it anymore. I had to get away for my own health."
"So, you came to New York and changed your name?"
Nathan
nods back to her. "If you can make it here, you can make it anywhere,"
he tells her. "I gave myself a new name and look at what I've done for myself.
I didn't need my father, his money or his name."
"You should
be proud of yourself," Sabine moves closer to him. "But, something in
you wanted to reach out to Lucinda. A part of you must still care, Nathan. You
know, it's not too late to have a relationship with her. She's not all bad, I
mean, at least not most of the time."
Nathan chuckles back to her.
"Thanks babe, but I think that ship has sailed."
***
Grant paces back and forth in the study of the Rockwell mansion as he tries to
piece everything that he learned from Lucinda together. He recalls how he found
a scrap book that was filled with information about Kent from the time he was
a young man until relatively recently. Then, he saw Lucinda holding a photo album
and she claimed that she had another son. When Grant asked Cole about Lucinda
ever mentioning the fact that he has an uncle and Cole said no genuinely seemed
shocked at the suggestion.
"Why would Lucinda keep that quiet?"
he asks himself as he moves towards the bar in the study and pours himself a gin
and tonic. "It's not like having another son is a bad thing?"
Grant takes a sip of his cocktail and then sighs to himself. "Wait,"
he gasps back quickly, thinking he has put the pieces together. "What if
Kent is Lucinda's son? My God, that would explain everything; it would explain
why she doesn't want anyone to know, it would explain why she has been to against
Houston and Stacey's relationship and
why she wasn't upset that Stacey
lost Kent's baby because they are related."
"My God, if this
is true
everything will change," Grant looks forward in shock wondering
if he uncovered one of Lucinda's deepest, darkest secrets.
***
Meanwhile, downstairs in the living room, Cole paces back and forth as he is unable
to get his conversation with Grant out of his head. How is it possible that Lucinda
had another son and not tell anyone? How is it possible that Mac knew he had a
brother and didn't say anything? Cole is reeling from the fact that he has an
uncle out there that he never knew about?
"What the hell is going
on?" he asks himself in shock. "Why does this family always have so
many damn secrets?"
He turns when he hears someone move into the
living room behind him. He sees Lucinda and immediately gets an uneasy smile on
his face.
"Nana, hi," Cole looks at her. "How are you?"
"I'm afraid, I'm tired today," Lucinda admits to him as she moves
to the bar to pour herself a brandy. "I barely slept last night."
"Any reason why?" Cole asks her.
"I'm beginning to
think that writing this book, this damn memoir, wasn't the best idea I've ever
had," she slowly takes a sip of her brandy. "All of these memories,
some of them painful, have been brought up and I don't know what the hell I am
doing anymore."
Cole moves up to his grandmother and puts his arm
around her. "You know I love you, right?" he asks her as she turns and
smiles back to him. "You can tell me anything Grandma, anything at all. Do
you want to talk about something?"
"Not now my darling boy,"
Lucinda caresses his face. "I'm going to finish this brandy and try to have
a nap, I am exhausted."
Cole sighs back to her, hoping that she
would have opened up to him. "Okay Grandma. Get some rest and we can talk
later."

"Dane, I am glad that you were able to
make time for me today," Mac stands up as he greets Dane Ashby into his office.
The two have been working on a potential deal for sometime now and he is hoping
that he can finally finalize the deal today. "Can I get you a drink?"
"You know me too well," Dane chuckles back to him. "I know
it might be a tad early, but it certainly helps to take the edge off the day,
doesn't it?"
"I couldn't agree more," Mac says with a
grin on his face as he pours two bourbons at the bar.
"I believe
I saw your fiancé and daughter leaving as I was arriving," Dane admits
to Mac as he receives his bourbon. "You're a very lucky woman, Celeste is
a beautiful woman."
"You don't have to remind me of that,"
Mac chuckles as he sits across from him. "How about you, Dane? Are you currently
entangled with a woman?"
Dane takes another sip of his drink. "Unfortunately
no," he sighs back to him. "But, at my age, it is good to take a breather
sometimes."
They both chuckle in unison. "That's fair enough,"
Mac nods back to him. "So, have you given any thought to my offer? I'm dying
to know if we can work together."
"I haven't thought of much
else," Dane replies to him. "And, the answer is yes, Mac. We have a
deal. But only if I can still come to your son's wedding."
"You
have yourself a deal," Mac reaches over and shakes his hand, thrilled that
he closed the deal.

"Oh my gawwwwwwwd," Carmen
collapses onto Marat's sweaty, muscular chest. The two just finished having hot,
intense sex with one another in her room at the country club. "That was amazing."
Marat chuckles back to her. "You're telling me," he looks into
her eyes. "Who knew that a kiss at breakfast would lead to this."
"You're not complaining, are you?"
"Did it look like
I was just complaining a few minutes earlier?" he winks back to her. "You're
a beautiful woman, Carmen. I loved every minute of what just happened."
"Good," Carmen lays her head on his chest. "Cause, I didn't
realize how much I needed a man until just a few minutes ago."
"It's
amazing what some good sex can do for you, huh?"
Carmen chuckles
back to him. "It was better than good," she leans up and looks into
his eyes. "I could get used to this, you know?"
Marat smirks
back to her. "I was hoping you'd say that," he leans in and kisses her.
"Because, I want to get used to it."

Grant slowly
opens the door to the penthouse that Kent and Lydia reside in. He moves inside
and closes the door behind himself. He looks around the main floor to ensure no
one is there before he breathes a sigh of relief.
He
moves into the living room and looks around quickly. He hasn't been able to stop
thinking about the fact that Lucinda has a scrap book pertaining to all things
related to Kent and that she admitted to him that she had another child; he has
been wondering if Kent could be Lucinda's long lost son. Now, he just has to prove
it.
"I
just need something that has his DNA," he whispers to himself. "Then,
I can compare it to Lucinda's and find out if Lucinda has been lying to everyone
about Kent all these years."
He
looks around the room wondering what he can use that would have Kent's DNA. "His
toothbrush or a hair comb would be the easiest," he says as he moves to the
stairs. He gets about half way up the stairs when the front door opens and Kent
emerges.
Kent
immediately sees Grant and freezes. "What the hell are you doing in my apartment?"
Kent grits his teeth back to Grant. "I asked you a question! What are you
doing here, Grant?"

"Thank
God Sabine called you to tell you about Stacey," Mac tells Lydia as they
stand in his office at Rockwell Mining. Lydia just finished telling her ex-husband
about their daughters whereabouts and he is feeling relieved.
"For once in her life, Sabine thought of someone other than herself,"
Lydia purses her lips together. "I asked my sister to keep an eye out for
Stacey while she's in New York."
"I must admit," Mac looks back at her. "I'm surprised you weren't
on the first plane to the Big Apple."
Lydia
chuckles back to him. "It crossed my mind," she tells him. "But,
our daughter has made it clear that she needs time and that is what I'm going
to give her."
"Look
at us," Mac grins back to Lydia. "We are actually learning from our
mistakes."
"I am trying, Mac."
"I
still wish that you had tried a little bit harder."
Lydia
arches her eyebrow. "Within regards to what?"
"Kent Blackmore," he looks at her with intent. "You can do so much
better than that son of a bitch and you know it."
"You're right I could," she looks back at him with love in her eyes.
"But I'm not getting any younger and I couldn't wait forever for someone
to realize what was in front of him."

"I'm beginning to think that you're stalking me," Slate chuckles as
he passes Stacey a menu, even though he is sure that he knows what she is going
to order.
Stacey looks back at the bartender and grins back to him. "I told you before
that you make the best martini in Manhattan. And, I happen to enjoy the company."
"I'm flattered," he winks back to her. "I take it you want a martini
then?"
"Yes please."
"Coming right up beautiful."
The words hit Stacey. It's been a long time since she felt that way: beautiful.
She has been so consumed with grief that she hasn't even allowed the idea of being
desired enter her mind. She hasn't felt that way since her night of passion with
Kent. And, while she was in love with Houston and Marat, Kent's skills in the
bedroom were in a different level.
As she watches Slate make her drink, Stacey can't help but wonder what his bedroom
skills are like. What does he taste like? How firm is his chest? How endowed is
he?
She quickly scolds herself for having the thoughts but she is immediately smitten
again when he places the drink in front of her.
"Extra
dirty, just the way you like it."
"Perfect," she looks back at him.
"I'm off at seven today," Slate tells her. "How about you and I
grab a bite to eat or a drink somewhere else?"
Stacey feels the butterflies in her stomach start to flap their wings in excitement.
"I'd like that very much, Slate."
"Good, then it's a date!"

"I had an idea and was hoping to run it you," Sabine announces as she
moves into the living room of her apartment in Manhattan. She can see that Nathan
is about to pour himself a brandy and wanted to tell him her great idea; at least,
she hopes it's a good idea.
"I'm all ears," Nathan turns as he holds his brandy in his hand and
looks at his lover. "What is this amazing idea that you've had?"
"This," she says moving up to him and passing him a small white envelope.
"It's a wedding invitation."
Nathan opens it and reads the card. "Cole Rockwell is marrying Madison Stewart,"
he looks back at Sabine. "I'm sure not what this has to do with me?"
"Mac and Lydia's oldest son is getting married," Sabine tells him. "We
should go to Kelsey Lake for the wedding. I've been away for so long and you,
well, you could reunite with Lucinda and the entire Rockwell family."
Nathan takes a sip of his brandy. "I'm not sure..."
"Don't answer me now," Sabine cuts him off. "Just promise me that
you'll think about it, okay?"

"Are you absolutely sure that coming for dinner won't be an imposition?"
Dane asks Mac as they move into the living room of the Rockwell mansion.
"Of course not," Mac waves his hand in the air. "The chef always
makes too much good and it will be better than room service at the club."
"I must admit, you're hospitality has been unexpected, in a good way of course.
And, this house, it is exquisite."
Mac chuckles back to him. "It has been in the family for years. My father
and mother raised me here. Once I was married to my first wife, Lydia, I took
over as the head of the house."
"I see. And your parents? Where did they relocate too?"
Mac sighs back to him. "My father, unfortunately, developed dementia and
is in a supportive home. My mother, Lucinda, she had her own house and just recently
moved back In with the family."
"I see, so your mother, she will be here for dinner?" Dane asks him
as Mac nods back to him. "Well, wonderful. I look forward to meeting her."
Outside the living room, Lucinda freezes at the sight unfolding in front of her.
She turns and leans up against the wall and clutches her large diamond necklace.
"What the hell is he doing here?" She asks herself in a whisper, before
she scurries off to her bedroom.

Casper Ross sits behind his desk typing furiously into his laptop as he works
on some of his on-going cases. As he types, however, he can't help but think about
Cole and how he ended their affair because of his upcoming wedding to Madi. A
part of Casper wishes that he and Cole could just be together but he knew when
he first met Cole that things would never get serious. Still, he can't deny that
the sex they have had has been incredibly good.
"Mr. Ross, just
the man that I wanted to see," a voice calls out at the entry way of the
office.
Casper looks up and sees Chase standing in front of him. He stands
up and looks back at the man. "I'm sorry, did we have an appointment?"
Casper asks him quickly.
"No, and once you hear what I have to say
you'll realize that I don't need an appointment to see you. Not today, not any
day," Chase gets a sly grin on his face.
"What are you talking
about? What is going on here Mr. Cooper?" a confused Casper asks him quickly.
"I own this building," Chase reveals to him quickly. "I am
your new landlord, Mr. Ross. So, you see, I can do whatever the hell I want. So,
shall we start talking about your rent and how you're going to cover the spike
that I'm about to lay on you?"
Casper gulps heavily knowing that
he can't afford to have much of a rent increase. "I am not sure that I can
afford an increase."
"I didn't think you'd be able too,"
Chase admits to him. "That's why I'm here to make you an offer; one that
I hope you can't refuse."

"I got your message,"
Celeste says as she closes the door behind herself as she moves into the main
office at Blackmore Ltd. She looks at Houston, who is pouring himself a brandy
at the bar. "What's wrong? You look like hell."
Houston takes
a sip of his drink before he looks back at her. "Well, thanks. Nice to see
you too."
"Sorry, what's wrong? Has something happened?"
"You can say that," Houston uneasily tells her. "When we spoke
at Lucinda's this morning, someone else was there. Someone heard our conversation."
"What?" Celeste shrieks back to him. "Who was it? Who knows
what we've done? Oh my God, Houston! Are they going to tell Mac the truth? Are
we going to lose everything?"
"Try to stay calm please?"
Houston replies to her quickly. "It was Lex; he was at the mansion going
through some of Lucinda's old things, or so he claimed."
"Lex
knows the truth? He's going to run to tell Mac and Stacey everything
"
"No, he won't," he tells her. "I
I took care of it.
Lex won't tell anyone anything."
"How can you be so sure?"
Celeste asks him. "What did you say to convince Lex to keep quiet?"
"Let's just say that Lex won't say anything because he won't be seeing
anyone for a while, okay?" Houston looks back at her with intent. "Just
don't ask me any other questions. The fewer people involved the better."
"You're starting to scare me, Houston," Celeste admits to him.
"What did you do to Lex? Where did he go?"
Houston takes another
heavy sip of his brandy. "Like I said, he won't say anything to anyone. That's
all that matters, okay?"
"Uh, sure," Celeste uneasily
sighs back to him. "I'm worried Houston. This plan, it seems to be unravelling
quickly."
"We won't let that happen," Houston says. "We
have come too far for us to turn around now. You will keep your family with Mac
and I will get Stacey back. There is no other option."

Lex's eyes slowly open. He tries to lift his head, but it is throbbing in pain.
He moves his hand to his head as he groans out. The room is dark, so he can barely
make out where he is. Combined with his splitting headache, he feels horrible.
Slowly, he is able to sit up from the small cot that he is laying on. He looks
around in confusion as he still doesn't know where he is.
He groans again
as he stands up and moves around a little. He turns around and looks behind him.
"What the fuck is going on here?" he asks as he moves up to the metal
bars that prevent him from leaving the room that he is in. "What is this
place?"
Suddenly, he remembers being at his grandmother's house
and confronting Houston about his role in the baby switch. They got into a heated
argument and Houston knocked him unconscious, which explains his headache.
"This is Lucinda's cage that she had Houston and Mom in for all those
months," he whispers to himself in shock. "Houston is holding me hostage
because I found out the truth."
He tries shaking the bars, but they
don't move. "You won't get away with this Houston!" Lex yells out in
frustration. "Do you hear me? You won't keep me here forever!"

"How long are we going to have to wait?" Kent asks Grant
as they stand next to one another in a waiting room of the hospital.
After Kent caught Grant in his penthouse, Grant had no choice but to tell Kent
everything: he suspects Lucinda is his mother. Kent was, naturally, stunned because
he believed that he knew who his parents were. After Grant explained that he found
Lucinda's scrap book that was all about Kent's life and that she revealed she
had another son, Kent couldn't help but wonder if his theory was true. He just
hopes and prays that it is not true because if it is, it means that both he and
Houston slept with Stacey when they are related to her.
"It shouldn't
be too much longer," Grant looks back at him. "Thanks for coming with
me to do this. I know it seems like a long shot, but it would make sense, don't
you think?"
"I hope it's not true," Kent admits to him.
"My family, and even the Rockwell's, have been through so much. This would
surely tear everyone apart completely."
Before Grant can reply,
a nurse walks into the waiting room. "Here you go," she passes the test
results over to Kent. "Your results are back. They are pretty easy to read;
it will either say that the DNA samples you provided were a match or not. Let
me know if you have any questions about it."
Kent nervously looks
at the package and feels his heart start to race. He looks over at Grant before
he passes it to him. "I can't look," he tells Grant. "Open it,
please?"
Grant nods back to him and accepts the test results. He
slowly opens it and feels the blood drain from his face. "Oh my God
"
Grant says before he locks eyes with Kent again.
