SEASON ONE: Jarek wanted to move his relationship with Lex to the next level by moving in together. Lex, however, wasn't ready to do this because of the issues going on with his family. Jarek was upset with Lex, but agreed to wait for him until his family was ready to learn that Lex is gay.

Jarek's mother, Odette, meanwhile, told him to stay with Lex, no matter what. Confused by what his mother was telling him, Jarek questioned her motives. Odette finally revealed to Jarek that Mac was running the Kelsey Lake mine when her husband, Jarek's father, died in an explosion. Odette blamed Mac for killing her husband, who was moving up the coroprate ladder quickly. She wanted Jarek to be with Lex so Odette could get what she thought was rightfully hers: part of the Rockwell fortune. Jarek agreed to help his mother with her scheme.

Lex and Jarek grew closer, unaware of Jarek and Odette's plan. Lex finally agreed to tell his family that he is gay and that he was going to move in with Jarek, when Lydia revealed that she had taken over Rockwell Mining.

SEASON TWO: Jarek and Odette continued to plot to get their hands on the Rockwell fortune, as they felt like they were owed it since Jarek's father, Odette's husband, was killed while working at the Kelsey Lake mine while Mac owned it. They had plans for Jarek to keep Lex as his partner and once Lex came out, he would be able to get the money. Odette kept talking about a secret plan of her own, which worried Jarek. Jarek, meanwhile, told Lex that Lydia might have drugged him to get his proxy, when she took over Rockwell Mining. Odette, meanwhile, was growing impatient when Lex wouldn't come out to his family. Jarek told her to be patient. Jarek then found Lex drunk; Lex dragged Jarek to Las Vegas where they got married. In the morning, Jarek was horrified to learn that Lex isn't a Rockwell – Kent Blackmore is really his father. Jarek was happy when Lex finally came out to his family, however. The family accepted Lex and welcomed Jarek into the fold. Jarek, under Odette's advice, began drugging Lex, as they thought if Lex didn't have access to the Rockwell money, they could kill him and get whatever Lex left him in his will. Lex soon fell ill. Kent came to see his son, and Jarek shocked him by announcing they were married. Kent was also worried about Lex's health. Shortly after, Lex collapsed. Jarek rushed to the hospital with the rest of the family. He was horrified when Odette arrived and pointed her gun at Mac and shot it twice!

SEASON THREE: Lex was in the hospital following his overdose. Jarek lied to Lydia and the Rockwell's about knowing what happened to Lex, even though he had been drugging his husband. He visited his mother in jail; Odette told him that she would confess to drugging Lex since she was already in jail. Jarek didn't like it but agreed. She encouraged Jarek to continue her revenge scheme and to spend/use the Rockwell money. Jarek was then with Lex following his transplant and they seemingly reunited. Brock Jennings was hired to help Lex get back on his feet; Jarek immediately didn't like him or how he openly flirted with Lex. They butted heads and Jarek warned Brock to stay away from his husband. Lex was put off by how much shopping and partying Jarek started to do. While drunk at his one of his parties, Jarek mumbled that he was sorry about Lex, which Brock overheard. Brock wondered if Jarek drugged Lex, not Odette. Jarek realized that Brock was on to him and realized that he had to kill Brock. He used Lex's phone to get Brock to the mansion, where a fight broke out. Jarek ended up falling from the balcony at the mansion and was killed.
