AP- Creator and writer of "Chasing Diamonds", Dallas Walsh, has announced that there is a new 5 part mini series coming to our screens starting May 05, 2020. This marks the first mini-series from Chasing Diamonds that will feature 5 episodes vs. 3 and the first episodes since the last Christmas special, which aired in December of 2019.

"I'm really excited by this next installment of Chasing Diamonds," Dallas said with a smile. "This series continues to have long legs and life after the regular seasons ended."

So, what we can expect in this mini-series? "A lot more action-adventure type of storytelling," Dallas previews. "It is a little different for the series but the action moves quickly, which will feel like another day in Kelsey Lake. This time, however, there is a location shoot in Cabo, Mexico."

Here is the official preview for "Chasing Diamonds: Cabo Wabo", which starts May 05.

Celeste/Mac: These two have reunited as a result of Mac having amnesia. Will he get his memory back? How far will Celeste go to ensure Mac doesn't remember their sorted past? Watch for these two to go on the road together.

Carmen/Mateo: Carmen and Mateo have a big problem – they "killed" Mac but now his body is missing! How will these two continue to cover up Mac's "death"? These two will go to great lengths to ensure they get their piece of the Rockwell fortune. Watch for Carmen to get assistance from an unexpected man and Mateo will go to great lengths to ensure Lex doesn't help prevent Carmen from being CEO of Rockwell Mining.

Cole/Madi: With Celeste on the run, Madi will stay in jail for "killing" Celeste. Madi will run into a face from the past in jail and learn some dark secrets about the folks of Kelsey Lake. Cole, meanwhile, will learn Celeste is alive and try to find her. He will wrestle with an attraction of his own while doing this.

Lydia/Lucinda: These two frienemies will continue to work together to try to salvage the Rockwell family.

Houston/Stacey/Kent/Sabine: Stacey & Kent will deal with the fallout of Houston and Sabine's affair. Will Houston and Sabine be able to make it up to their loved ones?

Vivian/Chase/Dyhannah/Deacon: Dyhannah will continue to blackmail Vivian and Chase into staying apart, but they are determined to be together. Will they get their chance or will Dyhannah send Chase to jail?

In an exclusive with the AP, head writer and creator of "Chasing Diamonds", Dallas Walsh, sat down to give a preview of the fifth, and final, season of the series.

"Going into season 5, I knew that there would have to be a lot of fun twists and turns that fans of Chasing Diamonds have come to expect," Dallas said to the AP. "Chasing Diamonds has always moved at a good pace, and season five is no different. The only difference is that this is the final season of the series."

Despite there being some rumours that Chasing Diamonds would return for a 6th season, Dallas claims that this is the final season of the series. "At least for now, this is the last season of Chasing Diamonds. Part of me needs a good break from Chasing Diamonds because it does move at such a fast pace; I need to step away and recharge my creative outlets."

Still, Dallas promises that this season will be a showstopped. "There are some great moments. I just hope the audience likes the last season!"

Mac/Lydia/Kent/Sabine: "This is a fun story this season because, for the first time, Mac and Lydia grow closer which leaves Kent and Sabine on the outs," Dallas explains. "The thing is, Kent and Sabine are both people who will do whatever they have to do to get what they want. How far will they go?"

Houston/Stacey/Marat/Celeste/Cole: Stacey is completely torn between her husband and her former fiance, the question: who will she end up with? The secret of Celeste's pregnancy will come out and the lives everyone involved will change forever. "It becomes an interesting storyline because Celeste will feel like her baby is a miracle since she was told she could never have another child," Dallas explains. "So, she is over the moon despite Cole and Stacey being horrified at the pregnancy."

Vivian: Vivian will continue to be up to her old tricks. "There are a few things in life that Vivian wants," Dallas smiles. "Houston to be happy, and Cole Rockwell. She will go to great lengths to ensure both happen."

Lex/Tanner/Toby: Lex and Tanner's relationship will take an unexpected turn when Lex meets a mysterious young man named Toby. "This story is one of the more shocking twists in the season," Dallas teases. "Just when you think you know where the story is headed, there is a big reveal that will shock you to your core."
